Depends on the field office - you are rushing to things. Have some patience!

This is what i see when i look at my uscis check transaction.
No image is available for this check because it was processed by the merchant as an electronic transaction.

Silmaril reacted to MarryMe987654 in What can I do whilst waiting for EAD?
I envy these people that is asking about what to do out of boredom and limitations as a foreigner.
Since I got to the US 4 months ago, I have always been busy being a wife, stepmother a daughter-in-law and homemaker.
This is completely new to me because back home, I just make the dough, pay the bills and provide for the whole household and I was good at it. I was not the domesticated kind.
Now, I had to care for a disabled mother-in-law (she's in a wheelchair and needs to be helped 95% of the time), get up early to prepare breakfast and lunch for my new family and do all the chores around the house while my husband is gone. In addition, I drive my MIL around to doctors appointment and other errands.
My husband helps me when he gets home from work but as much as possible, I don't want him to do anything when he's home because his job is very tiring as it's physical work.
I've been wanting to get my certifications completed before I get my EAD but I just don't have time to do it. I've also been wanting to polish mg resume and start painting again but I can't.
Don't get me wrong, I love my life now and I love how my new family just loves me and support me... I just didn't expect to be this occupied too soon after immigrating. It's good in a way, I guess, as I don't get sad or homesick very often.
Sorry if this sounds like I'm ambushing OP's post.

Just an update. On Nov. 14 our case was updated to Initial evidence Requested and on Nov 18 i received an RFE in the mail stating we did not meet the income requirement. We have sent everything from tax transcripts to employment letter and pay stubs just to prove my husband earns more than the income requirement btw my husband is a Registered Nurse and earns more than the requirement but still they want us to have a co sponsor.
my question is do we need to send another i-864 for my husband or just send i-864 for our co sponsor? The only good thing about receiving rfe is i know they are working on our case😅...

No co-sponsor. Income gets us there without any question whatsoever. The questions in the RFE just didn't make sense, but actually for that reason I am not stressed about it. There is zero question about qualification I guess it just needs another letter and more evidence, which fortunately I am easily able to provide.
Just annoying more than anything!

As of 7th November our case also went to "Ready To Schedule For Interview". Bio was on October 16th. What I think is happening (I'm not 100% sure), but I surmise that once the fingerprinting reviews have been finished /completed at the (NBC Missouri) and then the status changes to Ready To Schedule Interview I think at that time the cases are forwarded to the respective local field office. As we all know from the K1 stage at NVC that cases can and are moved around either electronically and or by mail/courier. I do assume and think that the fingerprint check and background checks are done at NBC and then all that data is forwarded to your local field office where the interview will be taking place. I am sure someone will correct me if my train of thought is suspect! That's my take on it.

I understand, but get that out of your mind, your status update will be along shortly, just a matter of time.

My status updated exactly 24 hours after the biometrics. For the most part the update after biometrics is pretty fast.

Your attorney is out of touch check images you can see, but most banks charge to send you the cashed check and are not readily available unless you request it. Definitely the case numbers are NOT on the check image. Sometimes the numbers are sent to your agent in this case your lawyer otherwise they are sent to you. I'd dump the lawyer before she or he really screws you up.

Hi
Our checks were cashed 8 days after the package was delivered.
A question: our attorney, who has been known to give us incorrect info, said that the picture of the cashed check available through our bank, would show the receipt number on the back, in the endorsement section. It looks like the checks was cashed electronically (ACH) amd my bank doesn’t yet show an image.
Does that match other folks experience? I’m guessing it will be another week or two before we receive the NOA1 in the mail.

Silmaril reacted to geowrian in Typo on I-130, any avenue to fix?
I would expect either an RFE, or you can fix it at the interview. It shouldn't be an issue.

Silmaril reacted to Loren Y in New AOS rules started 10/01/2019 Hosed us at the interview today.
As I understood it, you are right. They said the questions were going to be more detailed and " technical". How that plays into the mix I have no idea as I didn't get to hear any AOS interview questions, but I am sure I will the next time around, and with 4 people there listening to the questions twice at least due to translation I am sure I will have a accurate list of questions asked. But yes, the translation seemed to be one issue, that led to them being concerned that she may have trouble with the new form of questions. Maybe it is better in the long run, but I had my wife now before she even came here complete 16 weeks of English for Thais at the Patong Language school. This was a 8 level course and pretty intense, and really not too expensive and I knew it was important she learn the language fluently. As @JoelThai had referenced above when we went to the SS office less than 24 hours after arriving in the US she breezed thru the questions there with no issues, and then when she was here I had her take some ESL courses offered for Free at a local community center, so she isn't exactly an amateur with the English language. Had no issues at the DMV when getting the license, and going back to renew it, so she has interfaced with quite a few government agencies with minimal problems. She has had to make statements to the police when she was witness to a robbery at a convenience store, and couldn't write a statement, but was able to give information to the detectives to help. It is what it is, but I'm going back loaded for bear, and ready for anything. Like in the movie Zombieland " Oh, this Twinkie thing, it ain't over yet"😁

Hello everyone, new member here.
Well, we sent off our "one step" AoS package today, plus I-765 and I-131. Wish us luck, and best of luck to everyone here too!
A question: our attorney created the package for us.
While there was a photocopy of our certified CA marriage certificate in the I-130 section, they did not include a separate copy of our marriage cert with the I-765 and I-131, though it was all in the same giant pile.
How likely is it that USCIS is going to be silly and send an RFE for additional copies of the marriage certificate for the EAD? i.e. because they separated out the 765/131 and didn't see a copy of the certificate in the I130 section?
There was a list of contents on the cover letter. Even if we respond instantly to the RFE, I'd guess that would delay issuance of the EAD.
Also, has anyone experienced problems with a "confidential" CA marriage license? We got it since we didn't want our details splattered all over the internet as a public record, but now we're regretting it!
I'm guessing that with the rules changes coming, they're going to see a large increase in applications, has anyone heard of any further delays for filers since August?
Thanks!
