Hilde reacted to Mr and Mrs S in All Nebraska I-130 Filers -- Part 5
That date made me panic for a second until I saw your timeline 🤣
Why do we have to do our dates month first 😂?

You either file I-864 based on assets or you find a joint sponsor.

Because Nebraska Service Center is the most mismanaged service center in the entire system. Example If they get 20,000 petitions for I-130 in a quarter they process 10,000. So 10,000 gets added to the backlog. This has been happening for many many quarters. While Potomac is processes example 20,000 petitions they process 23,000. So they 3,000 gets removed from their backlog. Texas isn't as great, but they are keeping up and not adding a lot to their backlog
So yea if it's still there. That's where it is 12.5-16 months of processing time all sorts.
Source: Just look at the quarterly reports for the form I-130 at Nebraska, and compare it to the other service centers.

Their processing times keep getting pushed back due to slow processing and increasing workload, so it automatically shows a date based off the average of the processing times. They're around a year behind right now, but since "official" processing time is 12.5-16 months, they say June 2018. They're chugging through September still I believe, so you should be hearing something soon. August had 8000 I130 petitions in Nebraska alone so they're still recovering from that probably

Unless you have extenuating circumstances, DCF is not possible in Brazil

Hilde reacted to geowrian in I-130 vs. Direct Consular Filing
No DCF for Brazil except in very limited cases. Stateside filing will be the path.
Edit: Note that it’s the USCIS I-130 path in both cases. One is stateside filing and the other is via DCF.

Hi everyone,
We are about to file our 129. We are also at Nebraska (yay!) and tired of waiting. I read somewhere in the comments that more documents are needed after your 130 is approved, but I can't find the list anymore. Can anyone advice me where I can find the list of documents, or to be so kind and list it here for me again please?
Thanks!

This topic might be more helpful. It's for all Nebraska filers. Welcome to the craziness of Nebraska! I'm right there with you 😊

We are July 10th 2018 Nebraska filers. No RFE's (so far...) and Embassy in Singapore, which is a very fast Embassy. Nebraska times are getting longer and longer times. It's absolutely ridiculous! Projected time when we started this was 5-7 months... Contact your local political figures and blast USCIS Nebraska office every chance you get...

Random tracker-obsession update: Just did a case tracker run - saw movement on cases with PDs up to Aug 27th.
