  1. the name of the green card should be as listed on ds 260 /she can mention to CO at interview or just ask
  2. Refused is what CEAC says till the visa is actually printed and issued the CO could have issued u the CR1 and u traveled after the 2 year anniversary CBP could have made notation IR1 or USCIS would have changed it to IR1 and 10 year card
  3. u will list birth and passport and on the form it asks for all other names used so list all that have been formally used
  4. good point and in that case i would take a copy and keep it to protect my future N 400
  5. On the I 864 u do have to claim him as part of your household Think of it this way, I 134 and I 864 have to claim fiancee or spouse on the form as household size even though they are not in USA yet when it comes to tax filing, he doesn't have to pay taxes on foreign income so he would not file separately at all so, why wouldn't u claim him and take the extra tax deduction 1 senior 5 year LPR just took out Part B only to cover Dr visits , outpatient care and equipment/she forego the big Part A premium
  6. These are being sent out by county , state officials and both republican and democratic parties, trying to make sure people who are able to vote register and/or learn how to do it. Many people , believe it or not, don't know they need to register to vote or where there voting district is/ I get mail to vote for the mayor of city near me even though i don't live there and can't vote for the city mayor why send these out ? because some just don't get out and vote. Even with the last 2020 election that was so close , only 66% of the eligible voters turned out ignore it and do not register till u become a USC if that is your decision
  7. when an immigrant says "my family is poor" or "there are no jobs here" automatically it should send up a red flag to a USC as the signal is given "i want to get out of here " that is why in poor countries CO's look at education and past work history I am going by my own experience with a K1 and what we all read daily on VJ. OP the best u can do to help is talk talk talk daily and let him know every little and big thing about u, ur family and ur life in the USA Quality time together to prove a real relationship really helps and a 10 day or 2 week vacation to meet is often suspect OP you have my prayers for the upcoming interview and for a good life together in the US
  8. but u will be time of interview as u will return in 11th February which is coming soon otherwise u would use Pakistan address
  9. there is a yearly limit on EB2 visas issued so u wait on visa availability Approximately 40,000 EB2 visas will be given each year. Additionally, no more than 7% of EB2 visas can go to applicants from one country. This means that if you are a national of a country with many applicants, the wait to receive a visa will be longer.
  10. How long was your visit? former post about high fraud countries this is what TBoneTX wrote While acknowledging Gary's true point, I believe that Diana's answer is the most accurate of several good replies here, si man. Earlier in my process, I asked an immigration attorney (who had served as a CO himself in Yemen and someplace in the Caribbean) the question that the OP has. He said, "Any poor country." Think about that. And my attorney said "all African countries "
  11. it says interview will be in Germany. Will u have a residency in Germany at time of interview? then i would use that one if u want to change to Italy and have residency and plan to be there for studies, use that one both addresses will be listed with dates in travel history
  12. Recrecreational and medical mariguana are legal in Michigan they just need to know the states like Indiana, Pa that aren't legal when they travel and not to take it on a plane or into Canada https://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/legal-medical-marijuana-states-and-dc/
  13. HInts: Apply for the SS card within the first few weeks marry and apply AOS ASAP as the fees are expected to go from $1225 to $2820 for the I 485, I 131 and I 765 (no charge for the I 130) What i read is the fee increase is projected to happen in April
  14. all your family members plus his 4 , so are u married and have children? If its a F1 student visa, you would not sponsor/ he would apply Brother is a F4 visa for a USC what is your priority date? It would say on the receipt for your petition
  15. you are expecting an RFE? did you sign the petition? that's one we often see proof of meeting in person really no way to help u with your response till u know what USCIS IS asking for
  16. Congratulations remember to update your SS card at the SS office you are also free to register to vote now
  17. you should have been called for biometric appointment within a few weeks. Has that happened?
  18. Looks like they want the original(s) and a copy. copies can be sent to USCIS and NVC but originals and English translations are taken to interview this will appear at CEAC site as refused until the embassy has what is needed and a decision is made https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx if they intend to approve, the embassy will ask for the passport
  19. those are good points as the CO looks at all those (although a Muslim man can marry Christainn or Jewish girl) check out the following for what issues are considered red flags https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/red-flags-that-make-uscis-suspect-marriage-fraud.html and add they also will want to know if the USC woman is of child bearing age as its important to have children in their culture
  20. this is a denial u should have been given a white paper with reason for denial
  21. meanwhile please go to the portal and on timeline hit the moroc flag so your post will be in our portal and after u do whatever petition u decide, do a timeline this helps the VJ community answer any further questions u may come up with and there will be many if u do the K1 and have to AOS here in the USA
  22. OP you will need the court disposition for the interview BUT why K1? for Moroc its the hardest to be assigned interview date and then the chances of approval are low Go the word portal and read the post from Laura and Hamza Biggest issue now with K1 is the new fees to adjust the status after the US marriage are to go up to just under $3000 (you can fly to Moroc and marry for that kind of money)/ You can add him next spring to 2024 tax returns as alien resident spouse giving u the double tax allowance. Many a denied K1 after waiting 2 years for interview return to Moroc and marry which happened to me For either visa you do need quality visits to Moroc to be together He will need a solid plan of what he will do in the US (work of study) this is only my opinion , of course, but the last stats for approved visas in Moroc show only 18 K1's approved while 39 CR1's and 74 IR1's were approved
  23. Biometrics will be done at the embassy interview just attend interview as scheduled and ask about this it could be that his name is so familiar in India and was used for person
  24. USC gets the emails including when the interview is scheduled for the spouse visa
  25. My attorney explained this part to me he said if i worked 40 quarters after the moroccan arrived , they counted (and it could have been part time/just SS benefits needed to be recorded for each quarter the work of a spouse or parent adds qualifying quarters. it is included on page 13 of the I 864
