What a privilege US citizen get...Wait Wait Wait...they should let New Delhi handle current FB and keep rolling Cr/Ir at Mumbai...I have told me Wife that don’t anticipate to hear anything untill late October to November and she’s super pissed and want me to come stay in India untill I get IL..

I've been checking flights myself. I'd rather ride out and go into AP than spend more time waiting for an indeterminate date. I've done that now for almost a year. Our lives have been suspended for too long.

If they have any consistency it's NVC stopping contact in the middle of the month so by this week they'll be done with interview schedules for August.

  2. Are these forums always riddled with people waiting for Mumbai? It seemed like a lot of people talked about it raining in May for June interviews, but here we are in July waiting for August with some people from April still.
I've asked my husband to call the consulate tomorrow morning to at least give me some reprieve, but I'm at the end of my tether.

Okay so my husband and I got what you might describe as an "Arranged Marriage".  Which these days, is more like an "Arranged introduction with a recommendation from family members".

We met once with our families and agreed to get married. My parents were actually against it and kinda wanted me to say No.  Thus, as you can see, we both had the Final Say, even though our families were present and made recommendations.

This is common amongst people in my country, and i'm sure its common in other countries and for some of you reading this as well.

But i'm just wondering what my husband should say if his interviewers ask him:

"When did you first start to love your husband?"

or perhaps he might even get a more rude interviewer who asks "How could you possibly marry someone after meeting them just once?".

Any advice for how he should answer such questions?

I don't think they'd ever ask your husband that. Arranged marriages are common so they'd look more in regards to the facts: does he know your family, when/how did you meet, and they may ask for your wedding pictures.

its seems that the delhi office in india closing IR/CR1/CR2 file and other family based visa files, has back logged mumbai. At this point we will be lucky to hear anything even in july. Delhi office appointments that were scheduled post April 1 have been re routed to mumbai field office.

Where did you get this information? I was looking for an article online but didn't see one :( Delhi doesn't process family based visas, from my understanding
