Hello! I have a question regarding the I134 and my embassy which is Bogota Colombia! I have this issue! I started working last in June! If i would of have worked the entire year i would have had made the income required by the embassy! But i was in Colombia las year during basically 6 moths! I have been traveling back and forth to see my fiance and have stayed with him for months at a time! Thats why my income taxes are not that hight! But this year i have worked every month up to date! I have all my paystubs and i have direct deposit! My taxes for 2108 were 15k but if i would have worked all year round i would have made much  much mich more! From june 2018 to December 2018 i made over 3 additional trips to Colombia! I got engaged in Sept 2018 and have been in a relationship for more than 3 years!!! Since he will be coming this year i decided not to travel as much as before!!!! What should i do?

I've done a search of previous threads that may be in a similar situation as we are and found some answers, but I just want to check I have everything in order more specific to our situation before submitting documents to NVC.
 
This is our situation in a nutshell:
My husband is the petitioner/sponsor for myself (spouse) and our 18month old son and we are currently living in New Zealand. Husband intends to continue working for a company he co-owns with his brother-in-law as soon as visa is approved and we can all migrate together. Have property assets and savings.  
Questions regarding the Affidavit of Support:
I will be stating in Part 6 - Sponsor's Employment and Income: currently unemployed so will indicate current individual income as zero. Will it be enough to submit the AOS without a joint sponsor if we state in Part 7 - Use of Assets to Supplement Income all our assets with supporting documentation? AND; Provide a letter of employment stating that my husband will commence work as soon as we move indicating annual income (which will meet the poverty guidelines threshold)?

Hola, yo también tengo cita el próximo mes y mi esposo va a viajar para ir conmigo pues tenemos entendido que si le permiten ingresar conmigo. Cuando es su cita?

Buenaos dias... Mi esposa va a inmigrar a USA y tiene la entrevista el proximo mes CR1 y YO  deseo acompanarla a la entrevista y estar al lado de ella.
La pagina de la embajada americana en Bogota no es muy clara en decir si yo como peticionario y ciudadano la puedo acompanarla a ella ese dia en la entrevista.
No quiero perder el viaje y que no me dejen entrar a la embajada ese dia... Alguien sabe de esto? o tiene experiencia que me pueda compartir . Gracias.

Nuestras facturas AoS / IV fueron pagadas la semana pasada y nuestro abogado está enviando tanto los paquetes AoS / IV a cabo esta semana, así como completar el DS-260. He estado leyendo otras líneas de tiempo, así como el hilo NVC, pero ¿alguien tiene alguna experiencia reciente con la agencia? Parece que se tarda alrededor de dos meses a partir de donde estoy en el proceso ahora, hasta que tengamos la entrevista? Esa es mi suposición mejor educada. Cualquier entrada o la experiencia acerca de la Embajada de Colombia? Parece que es un proceso de entrevistas bastante fácil en Bogotá. Yo pensaba que iba a comentar y seguir este hilo desde que mi esposa es colombiana. Conocimos a octubre de 2012 y nos casamos 31 de agosto 2013 (parte de la decisión inicial fue Sabía que este proceso tomaría algún tiempo y estábamos listos). Empezamos este proceso en octubre pasado. Se está poniendo viejo. La veo cada dos meses durante una semana o dos. Ella vive en Bogotá, pero hemos viajado por todo ... Cartagena, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Valledupar, Platón, Medellin, Cali. Gracias para todo...

At the end of the day you have to get married in both visas and even if the K-1 is “faster” it’s actually not that much faster lately. Also if you go with the K-1 route your fiancé will come to the US and wait quite a bit to be able to work and receive GC. But if you go with the CR-1 route it’s 11+ Months wait but at least as soon as your spouse steps into the US he’ll be a resident and will have SS card and GC mailed to your address quite fast

So I wanted to make this post to help anyone who has questions about an expedite request during the USCIS stage. I had a hard time finding information.I will also update how the process will go for NVC but so far is a timeline of events
Mailed Application: Dec 28th

I decided to try again but when I called you have to wait at least 5 days before initiating another request. 
 
So again called April 3rd to USCIS, the rep will ask you under which category you would like to request the expedite. I didnt give her any details other than I wanted to request it for Medical. 
 
April 5th- just two days after, I recieved an email from TSC to send evidence of my medical situation. I had already had the paperwork ready so I responded to the email the same day.
This time I sent more evidence 
     Personal Letter explaining why I needed the requested expedited
     A letter from my doctor with medical records
     Power of Attorney information that states the Beneficiary as my POA
 
NOTE: The information you send for evidence is crucial to rather your request gets granted or not..so I don't know which specific evidence granted the approval but I sent as much as I can to avoid another denial. It is a case by case situation so less or more information should be given depending on your situation. 
 
April 5th- received an auto reply that they recieved the evidence and will review.
 
April 12th- I recieved another email stating the request was granted and I should have a response within 30 days.
 
April 17th- I recieved an email that an action was taken on my case, I checked the website and it said approved.

I received an email from the Embassy and it said yes, but it was in Spanglish and very little details.

Actually did it in 2007, but I know things change.

I am currently living in Colombia with my Colombian spouse, and have filed the I-130 to the Chicago Lockbox. I am a little worried because it has ben received and the payment has been process, but no e-notification of application acceptance (G-1145) or NOA1  yet. This is my second time around doing this (with the same spouse 8 years apart) and know its a long process but remember almost immediately receiving an e-notification. Has anyone else experienced this delay in receiving an e-Notification?

Back story: My spouse and I have been married for 8 years now and have one 4 year-old. Life brought us back to Colombia for a little while while I finished graduate school, she filed an I-407 to abandon residency status in the US and get a tourist visa to travel while we lived here. We are now ready to move back soon and started the entire process over again.

I could not find a general forum for all the Texas Service Center filers to come together and share their progress. This will give us TSC filers a general idea of what dates they are currently working on. My timeline is in my signature. Good luck to everyone, keep us up to date on your progress!

Looks like the vaccinations are about $105 depending on which vaccines a person needs. This now sounds familiar now that I racked my aging brain, because I vaguely remember $400 for medical around the time my wife and I was going through the process ($275 + $105 = $380).
 
Keep in mind that those prices may have changed.

La visa K1 es sólo para prometidos(as) y una vez entren a los EE.UU. tienen hasta 90 días para casarse y aplicar para el Ajuste de Estado que tiene un valor de $1.010. 6-12 meses después reciben la residencia permanente.
La CR1 es para personas que ya están casadas y reciben su residencia permanente y tarjeta del Seguro Social 2-7 semanas después de haber entrado a los EE.UU.
La visa K3 se diseñó hace varios años para agilizar el proceso para las personas que ya están casadas. En ese entonces las visas CR1 se demoraban un par de años para ser aprobadas y la K3 sólo se demoraba entre 6-12 meses. Desde hace unos meses las reglas cambiaron y pocas personas son procesadas para la visa K3. El Centro Nacional de Visas decidió que la única forma de ser procesado para esta visa es si reciben el formulario I-129F aprobado por el USCIS antes que el formulario I-130, lo cual muy pocas veces sucede ya que ellos casi siempre reciben el I-130 primero, o ambos y si ése es el caso, terminan procesando las peticiones para la visa CR1. Debido a esto, el CNV se ha inundado con muchísimas peticiones aprobadas para ser procesadas para visa CR1 y el proceso ahora tarda entre 1-2 meses más que antes.
Entonces... las únicas dos opciones que existen hoy en día son: K1 para personas que todavía no se han casado y la CR1/IR1 para las que ya contrajeron matrimonio. Tenga en cuenta que los beneficios de la visa CR1 son muchos más que la visa K1. Por una parte no tiene que gastar otros $1.010 en el Ajuste de Estado y la green card llega por correo en unas semanas lo cual le permite sacar licencia de conducir, trabajar y salir y entrar al país inmediatamente si así lo desea. Con la visa K1 tiene no sólo que pagar por el Ajuste, sino también esperar unos 3 meses para recibir los permisos de trabajo y de entrada al país por si tienen que salir, y encima de eso la green card se puede demorar entre 6-12 meses.
Más claro no canta un gallo.

Hola Edilma, le cuento que mi esposa esta aqui en NY conmigo, precisamente el martes pasado tuvimos la entrevista y ya su residencia esta aprobada. Ahora estamos en espera de las visas de los ninos, las I-130 de ellos las enviamos en mayo, asi que confiando en Dios esperamos tener noticias pronto... Felicidades por sus citas!

Felicidades Angelica me alegra que el caso haya sido cerrado.
Carlos el suyo tambièn pronto serà cerrado, si tienes abogado presiona a tu abogado para que trabaje sobre esto, aunque si toma tiempo puede ser a su favor, por experiencia propia mi caso solo tomo 3 semanas con NVC pero tuve que esperar 11 semanas para obtener la cita.
Auque hay excepciones como mis hijas todo el proceso completo desde USCIS, NVC hasta que le dieron sus citas solo fue de 5 meses.

Buenos dias a tod@s, veo que hace un tiempo no se hacen publicaciones en este foro, quiero contarles un poco acerca de mi proceso, mi esposo es ciudadano americano, y envio la solicitud I 130 en octubre de 2017, USCIS respondio diciendo que el caso lo tendria ahora NEBRASKA, desde el momento hasta hoy, no hemos tenido noticias de nada, ya llevan 5 meses y aun no nos han dicho nada y en la pagina de USCIS tampoco podemos ver en que va nuestro proceso, aunque mi esposo ya llamo y le dijeron que todo estaba bien que si teniamos el recibo enviado por ellos, entonces nuestro proceso se estaba tramitando, pero como tal no hemos podido ver nuestro proceso, y la pagina de USCIS, no esta dando la informacion correcta, dicen que la oficina de nebraska esta tramitando procesos de abril de 2017, pero una chica que es CR1 tambien y puso papeles el 10 de octubre de 2017, USCIS ya le aprobo y envio su casoo a NVC, si alguno de los que esta en este grupo tiene un proceso parecido al mio, creo que cualquier informacion que podamos compartir seria muy bueno.

Mary, el foro de visas CR1 es sólamente para temas en inglés pero si quiere puede empezar uno en el foro Latino.
Para empezar sólo tiene que ir a las GUÍAS que se encuentran en la parte superior de la página, luego le da click a CR-1 / IR-1 Visa and I-130 Petition Guide para ver las instrucciones de cómo se debe aplicar para la visa CR1.
El proceso para empezar es muy básico, es sino mandar el I-130 con las G-325A y los documentos necesarios.

Hola barranquillera , esa es mi pregunta tambien llame varias veces a la embajada de bogota y me dijeron que la unica forma en que la niegen es que no tengas suficientes razones para demostrarle al consul o que no tengas todos los papeles contigo.
