Hi everyone! I just wanted give an update. I arrived in the US yesterday, and now am living with my husband finally after this long wait! 😊 my port of entry was Houston and wasn’t asked anything about the new public charge rule. They only asked me how long I have been married.
i want to thank you all for being so nice to each other, when we have questions or when we need support. I really liked this community and I wish you all the best in what’s left of this Visa journey!

Hi, we had our interview last Friday (spouse not allowed in embassy) and I was not asked about the DS5540 (I was pretty much unaware of it until I came on here after my interview) nor was I asked about health insurance. We were approved with no issue thus far... thank God! But as the others mentioned my husband is also well above the poverty guideline (could be why we weren’t asked about it 🤷🏽‍♀️). I’m just waiting on the notification to collect my passport which the CO said can take approximately 2 weeks here. Didn’t update my timeline yet as I will only feel comfortable once my husband and I are back together for sure (reading about people and this process made me such a skeptic lol)... Hope this helps and God speed on the rest of your journey 🙏🏽

Mine did not change from “at NVC” until it was received by the embassy. Not even after getting my interview letter did it change it only changed when I was able to register my appointment (which is a requirement for my country) and that was exactly a week after receiving the interview letter. Hope this helps

Just checked CEAC and it shows that @Bking visa is issued. I'm so happy and excited and all sorts of other big emotions. I can't believe we're finally here. Just now to get it in hand and continue or moving plans

How you met your spouse, how long have you known each other, what was your wedding date? 
It was approved but they need attestation of age document sent before issuing visa.

Thank you to everyone that helped with questions that I had❤️ Everyone else still waiting, hang In there it will come. It’s not easy, I swear me and my husband almost divorced about a thousand times due to frustration, mainly my troublesome frustration towards this because he was the calmer one. In the past 2 years I have flown to Nigeria and Turkey a total of 9 times. It wasn’t easy but We overcame it! We are finally finished with this thank God!  
 
The day After interview, he was sent a notification via text notifying him to pick up Visa❤️ 
Timeline is updated. 

Girl!!! I don’t know what I would do without you!!! You have truly been a blessing with helping us through this process!! I received an email at 2 stating that his visa was in the process of being printed and that the courier will be given his package once it has been completed.  
Then I happened to check the status for some crazy reason and it says “ISSUED!!!”  I want to cry but I’m so glad this is done for now!!!
Your 🙏🏽 really helped me so much!!

Currently experiencing the same thing although my consulate is not Nigeria. Got IL last Thursday and I’m in the same boat. Thinking to give it a few days for them to enter it in their system perhaps🤷🏽‍♀️

Hello Everyone and a Happy New Year!
 
Been a while since we came back here as we were busy preparing for our big move.
Being a first time flyer, my partner decided to come get me to cushion the stress of traveling.
 
Long story short, Husband and Wife are finally together in the States!!!!.
 
All went well and we're looking forward to enjoying each other's company as much as we can every passing day
to make up for the lost time.
 
We want to use this opportunity to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support, well wishes and prayers.
We couldn't have made it without you all.
 
It looked impossible from the start, but here we are talking about the first part of our journey in the past.

Spouse's Interview date has also been confirmed. Just got the email 5 minutes ago.  Both wife and stepdaughter to interview Feb 25 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

we knew something was wrong in the last review and we called senator Wicker office and talked to immigration secretary to show our good faith and I just received 3 mails Saying
 « documentarily qualified » 
 
i am crying like a baby !!!
