hope it's not an error.
*applied from abroad because of military assignment.

Just got my biometrics appointment for August 4, 2022. My timeline is the following so far:
 
Package delivered at PO Box: 7/2/2022
Picked up from PO Box: 7/5/2022
Text message with Case No: 7/7/2022
NOA I-797 received: 7/14/2022
Biometrics appointment received: 7/22/2022
Biometrics appointment date: 8/4/2022

Joining in with this group! Getting packet sent off today or tomorrow morning at the latest. Let this next waiting game begin 😅

Just got the text for the receipt number. Mine sent to Texas.
 
delivered: 6/11
got the text: 6/14
but receipt number says they received on july 12, so i guess my noa 1 will be dated july 12. 
 
hopefully i will receive the notice in the mail soon. 

Well, I've finally sent the package today, after I've been saying it for almost a week 😅 turned out to be 240 pages and about 3 lbs... now the waiting game begins. I'm already worried, I forgot something. I really don't want to get it rejected.
 
How did you all pay the fee?
I used a check now. Heard way too many stories of credit card payments getting rejected.

We paid with a money order! 
Got our case number yesterday. 2 days after it was recieved by uscis.

Hey July filers, I'm with you! Haven't sent my husbands packet out yet, still gathering a few more things. Earliest we're allowed to file is on the 23rd. 
 
Besides the copy of green card, we're including the following stuff: 
- Drivers licenses w/ same address
- Me listed as beneficiary on his pension
- Scan of health insurance cards for both
- Car insurance documents that list us both
- Statements of joint bank account that list us both
- Statements of joint credit card (My name is listed at the top, but it shows transactions for both of us)
- Tax return transcripts for last 3 years
- Itinerary of trip we took last year to visit his family in Germany
- Letter from boss about our employment (we work together as well!)
- Paypal transactions from me to my mother (sadly we still don't have our own place, but we pay my mother for utilities as our rent.)
- Letter from my mother that backs up the Paypal documents
- Customs form from packages his family sends us
- Pool membership cards
- Pictures
 
Hoping this will be enough. 
 

Sent my package via USPS express mail on 7/5 and was delivered on 7/6. Received case SRC # text on 7/8 that package was received and put in the system on 7/6. Still waiting NOA1 mail. Waiting game begins!!!😊

I tried to keep it fairly brief and explained everything that I attached. But I also tried to front loaded it as much as possible, so I won't get a RFE or might even get the interview waived.
 
We also didn't have a lot of "typical" hard evidence. He had a paid off house and two paid off vehicles before I even moved here. There was no reason to add me to any titles.. and loans or leases don't exist. Due to covid we also barely traveled, so no receipts for that either. We only went camping. No wedding ceremony due to covid either, and so on.
 
So, mostly I've got car insurance, health insurance, credit cards, 401k beneficiary, tax return and vet bills as commingled finances. And as proof for mutual address driver's licenses and USPS informed delivery... other than that, I only have pictures, letters, text messages, etc.

Our interview got scheduled for February 24th ! We're very excited ! We applied in January 31, 2020.
I have a question regarding the I-864, do we have to take a new one for the interview? even though nothing changed in the employment and we already submitted it with the aos package ?

It’s true. Also, after losing my job opportunity (thanks SSA) I finally got the opportunity back last week. I start Feb 1! So so thankful. 

372 days and was just notified that my interview has been scheduled. Wooooo
 
No word on when, just yet - gotta wait for the mail. 

Hey y’all!
We just got back from our interview, we had to drive 30 mins in the middle of a snow storm, the office was not closed (we thought it might due to bad weather)
 
It went well for the most part, we are 5 yo couple now so we felt very confident about our story and current status, it was a chill conversation with nothing to hide or to be scared of.
 
We did forget to print some recent pictures to show proof that we are still a real couple lol. We only had a lease agreement on both of our names (most bills are on my wife’s name) and 2019 taxes filed jointly. And some Happy 1 year anniversary cards that the agent didn’t want to see 😂. We keep our finances separated so no joint accounts/cc, and we bought out her 4 year old car lease but we kept it under her name.
 
I think we will be ok, nothing went south during the interview.
 
I got an update a few minutes later that my interview was completed and being reviewed.
And then another one like an hour later that says my name was updated on the application (weird, I explained I have 2 last names and we updated our current address and employment info)
 
I should get an approval or a RFI in the next couple of days.

Hello All, 
 
We had our interview today in Portland, OR. We arrived at the USCIS office 15 minutes earlier (as instructed), went through security, and waited for about 5 min until we got called out. Our officer was super nice, he made the interview felt like a conversation, it was super mellow, very few questions and they were all about our form I-485, he asked us to provide all the new documents we've had recently so we gave him our newest Tax Return form, pay stubs, employment letter, and that was about it, he said that we did a good job gathering all the documents since the beginning and that it wasn't necessary to show more evidence so he approved our case on the spot. The interview lasted 25 min roughly and that was it, I checked our case status on the USCIS website and now it changed to Card is being produced.
 
Fun fact, our officer let me be the interpreter for my wife as she is still learning English and didn't feel ready to answer by herself. 😄

Since I was in “Ready to be Scheduled” (late February), I have gotten:
- an EAD combo card
- a Florida Driver’s license
- a SSN
- a stimulus check
- a Job
- a Virginia Driver’s license
- 2 US bank accounts
- 2 US credit cards
 
Also I’ve submitted an EAD renewal and will most likely get another stimulus check.
 
What a ride! And yesterday, Dec 28th,  finally I got my interview scheduled, date TBD.

It took this long because we moved to Virginia and my case was sent (theoretically) from Jacksonville, FL to Washington, DC office. Still I wasn’t expecting this for another 4-5 months based on DC’s very long timelines.

Just got the update that my interview was scheduled. Now waiting for the letter with the date. I'm over the moon 🥳🥳🥳
 
The update came 30 minutes after I paid $13 to send my ead renewal application in...

Got my interview today. Officer asked us so so many questions, asked for pictures and evidence of bank account, insurance and any document with both our names. At the end she said she needed to look at my file and if she needed more evidence they would let me know within 90 days. Told her I was traveling tomorrow and she said to use travel permit and that if I get approved while away, won't have a problem coming back. 
4 hours after interview, status changed to approved🎉🎉🎉.
