I wanted to send my package yesterday. But then decided, I wanted to edit a few things... so, I'm gonna send it tomorrow.

How many pages did ya'll send??

On the one hand, I feel like I'm not sending enough. On the other hand, I feel like I'm sending too much.

I'll be sooo glad when this whole process is over!! I'm tired of being stressed out and having uncertainty! 😭😅

It's really not about the number of pages but rather the strength of the evidence. 50 pages can be stronger than 500 pages if the 500 pages are mostly "fluff" (chat logs, affidavits from friends, etc).

It is helpful to post what evidence you have and then people on VJ can give you specific feedback on your evidence :)

I understand.

I tried to keep it fairly brief and explained everything that I attached. But I also tried to front loaded it as much as possible, so I won't get a RFE or might even get the interview waived.

We also didn't have a lot of "typical" hard evidence. He had a paid off house and two paid off vehicles before I even moved here. There was no reason to add me to any titles.. and loans or leases don't exist. Due to covid we also barely traveled, so no receipts for that either. We only went camping. No wedding ceremony due to covid either, and so on.

So, mostly I've got car insurance, health insurance, credit cards, 401k beneficiary, tax return and vet bills as commingled finances. And as proof for mutual address driver's licenses and USPS informed delivery... other than that, I only have pictures, letters, text messages, etc.

Every one has their own way 🤷🏼‍♀️ We are young and don’t own a house, and we didn’t really see necessary to have a joint account. I put jointly filed tax return, lease contract on both of our names, my husband’s life insurance and 401k shows that I am the beneficiary, a month of Venmo statement that shows transfers between us, a joint car insurance, affidavit letters, photos, a couple received mails on both of our name, copy of state Id’s to show addresses and photo of joint credit cards.

kind of after seeing everyone holding joint account, we are thinking about going to get one just in case if we get RFE

Everyone's situation is different so I definitely wouldn't worry about not being on titles/loans/leases. Your other evidence is good and they love to see comingling of finances. Some suggestions, if you're looking for anything else of substance to add:

  • Power of Attorney (we each have Durable Healthcare POAs for each other)
  • Emergency Contact info from work/school/doctor
  • Joint Memberships, if you have any (gym, Costco, etc).
  • Utilities in both names - water, power, trash, internet, or phone?
  • Any other bills addressed to you both
  • Joint bank account(s) - you mentioned credit cards, but do you not have any other joint accounts?
  • Make each other beneficiary on bank accounts that aren't joint

That is funny but when you have joint credit cards, doesn’t show both names on the statement. Only shows fist person’s name. So I only added copy of the credit cards. I personally in grad school and working part time so my husband is paying all the utilities. Never thought about adding beneficiaries on bank account, I just did it online and it was easy.
