I know this group has moved on.  I hope you all are happy and healthy married couples!!  I am super happy for you all.

Almost made it to 17 months.  That is over 510 days.  2 case enquiries, and gotten in touch with our lawyer....so maybe there will be good news ...soon

I hope you get news soon. This is truly insane but it sounds like you’re doing everything you can to move forward.

  2. We are also in this situation and confused about it. I called USCIS and they said my husband didn’t need to attend. But I’ve seen posts on VJ saying the fingerprint is necessary for re-entry into the US If they travel with the card and my husband wants to travel home soon, so he’s going to go To the second appointment just to be safe. It’s one of those things where I’d rather be safe than sorry. It’s a hassle but anything that will possibly prevent him being detained on re-entry seems worth it to me. It’s just an hour or so of our time to do it again.

We are also in Seattle and just had our bio today. Did your notice have all 3 application numbers on it? Ours was just for I485 and I765, but not I131. The guy said it wouldn’t affect the combo card but we would get a separate appointment for the AP biometrics to attend so that the fingerprint would match the combo card. So, basically said our AP wouldn’t be usable even with the combo card in hand until we got I-131 fingerprints done, but the work permit would be fine. I’m just super confused by this.

Ok I’m very confused by this. My husband is in this situation. We did one biometrics and he got his combo card in the mail several weeks ago. Today we got another biometrics notice. i called USCIS and they told us to disregard the appointment since we already have the combo card. This now makes me feel like we should go? I’m so confused.

    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to stop in and thank everyone for their positivity, well wishes and good thoughts.  It really means alot to us.

Today marks our 15th month of waiting for Noa2.  There has been no change.  Two 'outside normal processing times' requests.

We are together, we are still fighting, although the damn time zones could shift a little!!!

I hope you are all well and staying safe

    Thank you again

Thinking of you Dale! Each time I get an email notification from this thread I hope it's you with good news! You guys are so strong!!!

  5. Wow, that's kind of a pain in the butt about the different letter/bio appointments for 131. I'm pretty sure I've read on forums from previous months that there were other people that shared that the one appointment did end up counting for all three and USCIS just ended up updating their 131 information later.  I really hope they do that for people and don't make everyone go back!

    happy friday everyone!!

just received a letter for my biometrics appointment 6th August!!! no updates on case tracker or USCIS website!

The notice date on the letter was 18th July! so USPS took their time delivering the letter, but we have had terrible postal service here in chicago almost once weekly :(

anyway!! good luck to everyone, good news is coming for you all!!!

Amazing news! So excited for you! And so excited to hear someone in Chicagoland get their letter! Let's goooo!

it actually makes sense, they were ahead of us already, and still getting to those on top of the list. its just more waiting.

I'm ok with this, if i had my appointment cancelled in march and someone in may got it before me, that would be more discouraging.

I saw that post too and had the same thought. They’ve been waiting longer than us, and things are just going to be slower now, just like everything else in the world.  I’m just glad things are moving.

So not sure if this means anything but i was just on the USCIS website to check my case and my i485 changed from fingerprint fee was received back to case was received.

Very strange... hopefully its not them giving me an RFE and it means they are working on the case again.... 🤷🏿‍♂️

Anyone else got the same? its just totally bizarre

I checked and ours says that too! Weird!

    Hi Everyone,

I've read this thread and got a question regarding I944 Page 5 Question 7 "Is any of the additional income listed above from an illegal activity or source?"

I do not receive any additional income so that question 6 section does not apply to me at all. As a result, do I answer No to question 7 or should I leave it blank?

    Thanks in advance!

I left it blank, just checked. I had N/A in any possible space in that section but since that one doesn't have an N/A option, I didn't answer it.

    Hmm,

On the official instructions for the I-864 form it says:

Petitioning relatives who have already filed proof of their citizenship or immigration status with Form I-129F, Form I-130, Form I-600, or Form I-600A do not need to submit proof of their status with this affidavit.

In regards to paystubs it says:

You may also provide pay stubs showing your income for the previous six months

I feel like this falls in the category of things that according to the directions you don't NEED to do, but that a picky officer could be annoying about, and that isn't that hard to include, so better to just include it anyway!

Goodness me thank you so much for the information!! I honestly wasn’t expecting anyone to have an answer for this, that’s really helpful! Bummer about the several weeks but if that’s what has to be done then so be it - not as if any further delay makes much difference the way things are right now!
I had an email from member services at Experian which said they can’t help me but if I “ask for my credit report” over the phone it automatically produces a letter to say there is no report...but when I called they asked for my SSN and when I said I didn’t have one they said “there’s nothing we can do to help you” which is nice isn’t it 🙄 Mail is probably our best option! Thank you so much!

You're welcome and looks like @Akrapovic had better luck on the phone too!!!

I think that may be the only option for both issues to be honest. I literally spoke to USCIS today and they were like “hmm it’s a pretty new form so uh...” IF EVEN THEY DON’T HAVE AN ANSWER WHAT THE HECK ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO LMAO!
I‘ve read online that being an “applicant for LPR” makes you eligible to access the healthcare marketplace so I went on Covered CA today but because I don’t have a social security number they couldn’t verify my identity and neither could Experian. I’m going to call Covered CA tomorrow when they’re open and try talking to them but I feel like we’re going to hit the “no SSN” wall again. In that case, we’re just going to write addendums to the credit and health insurance questions and hope that because the forms will be dealt with by a human and not a computer, they will understand. It’s their own systems that are holding us back from being able to do things the way they want, it’s utterly baffling, and hopefully they will show some leniency. It’s all we can hope for!

    Hi there,

I don't have much light to shed on this but I did want to share that many people are having luck in getting a letter to prove no score by requesting their credit report via mail.  There is a form you can print out and send in requesting via mail.  I did it for my husband, he DOES have a credit score but still has no report.  You could just leave the SSN line blank or put all zeroes, and they will send you something back saying via mail. The only issue is that it takes several weeks to get something back.  Just an idea!

Oh okay great! Yep! We had a really hard time getting our AOS paperwork accepted, it took 3 tries. We are all good now but didn't get a biometrics appointment before all of this started so we are on hold.

You should join our what'sapp group! All people doing K1 and CR1 visas who have a partner/spouse in the DR! Do you want the info?

I will send you the link to join in a message!

I am at the same place. We got accepted for k1 in Dec2019 and he also arrived in January. Is your process paused?

I think the doctor in Romania said it would be easier here because some of the vaccines needed time to get results? Don't quite remember. Also, wouldn't health insurance cover any vaccinations she needs? Obviously depending on the health insurance I guess, but figured this isn't anything elective...

I went through this with my husband. It is a big pain in the ### but manageable. Insurance will cover the vaccines. You’ll need to go to your normal doctor to get them, then bring record of that to the civil surgeon who will do the required part of the 693. Insurance will not cover that part.  Civil surgeons That will only do the vaccine transcription and not the entire exam tend to be really difficult to find. I called over 20 before i found one (Chicagoland area). There are threads on this that you can find if you do a search.

    Thank you for your response!

Yes that is what we will probably do. So did you get a RFE after leaving it blank first time? Did you supply proof of the automatic renewal, like an email? In the instructions of the I-944 it asks you to provide documentation of when insurance renews/expires so not sure what to provide as evidence...

I did not get an RFE.  My forms got complete rejected twice with a very general rejection letter so I don't know exactly what it was that caused the rejection.

Re the insurance: I asked the insurance company when I called them for a letter like you describe as I saw that too and they said they did not have that.  I included proof of enrollment and summary of coverage as well as his insurance card as our evidence, and the note I mentioned explaining that we don't have a specific end date since I couldn't get the letter.  Not sure what will happen with that, hoping it will be enough!
