Hello Everyone, Me and my fiance plan on sending our I-129F package this month. We have done a lot a of google searching but we can't seem to find our answers. For our package we are wondering if there is a form that we need to put as proof for joint sponsorship. I have a year round "Part-Time" Job and I don't get paid enough to reach the Poverty Guidelines on my own but my lovely parents have 100% agreed to help as a joint sponsor. So Is there a form to file for that or do I have to include pay stubs from me and my parents. Please Help we very appreciate any responses. He was also a J-1 student the past two years and we are curious is he will have to get the medical stuff done if he has already been through that kind of process.
Hi! I am probably one of the least knowledgeable people here since I just filed my I-129F, so hopefully others who are further along and more knowledgeable will jump in here. But I believe that you do not need any of this sponsorship/financial information for the I-129F form. I certainly didn't send any - it's not in any of the guidelines for that form. I think that the time when you submit that information is later, on the I-134 form (Affidavit of Support) which you do once the I-129 has been processed and approved. If you search the VisaJourney site for K-1 Visa process you will find a really nice timeline that explains everything. I am going to try to include it here but I don't know if it will work since I'm not great on the site yet!

Seriously??! I know the I-130 is different than the I-129 but that doesn't seem right at all! Do you have confirmation that they got it? Did they cash your check?
-
You must be ahead of me, I don't even know what the 160 is! I probably cant help you, but I'm here to listen! When did you send in your I-129?

Would love to connect with people starting their process for a fiance in the Dominican Republic right now - this is all SO stressful! I could use others to talk about everything with! Let me know if you want to connect - I saw some people from April made a Whatsapp group and would love to do something similar!!!

Can anyone confirm that packet 4 is not needed? Or anything that the beneficiary needs to receive by mail? Because after months of trying to sort it all out, it seems like mail isn't really functional in DR - my fiance doesn't seem to believe he will be able to receive anything by mail and trying to even write addresses for the form was very aggravating for both of us!
-
I don't have the answer to this but wanted to tell you that I was EXTREMELY stressed about this and have no idea if we did it right!
After all of my research it seems like mail just isn't really a "thing" in DR.
I am thinking/hoping that everything of importance will be sent either to me in the US or via email/electronically - because it seems that you cannot expect to get any kind of mail ever in DR unless sent privately!

Hi all,
I just sent in my I-129F today. Exciting and scary all at once. And I know we have a lot more waiting to do, but my anxiety gets SO HIGH, SO FAST that I need to start processing next steps now so I have enough time to walk away and come back over and over to prevent freaking out too much!
I have a question that I'm hoping someone can clarify here...
My now fiance applied to come to Chicago on a tourist Visa awhile ago earlier in our relationship. He was denied (not surprising, but we had to try!) Anyway, he already made a ustraveldocs account at that point, and went to the VAC for fingerprinting at that time.
I wanted to verify that he will use the same account this time around, and also to ask if he goes and gets fingerprinted again? Thank you!

Thank you Tyler, I will do that! 1 out of 3 lingering issues solved!

Hi everyone,
I have viewed so many posts in this forum, everyone here is so helpful. I'm hoping to get some help for specific lines of the I-129F form that are confusing me. Any advice is appreciated - I want to get this filed!
1. If employment, address, etc. is through present, do you list the date that you are ready to file, or do you leave blank? I noticed that the only time "Present" populates is for my current address. Other than that, the form only allows numbers. This is an issue for my employer's name as well, as it has a number in it, and the box only allows letters. For that, I figured I would use the additional information section.
2. My SO currently lives at the resort where he works. His only other address is his sister's house, where he stays when he has his off days (6 days/month) and it is in a remote spot. He says that she never gets mail. We are listing that as his mailing address anyway. For his "physical address 1" and "physical address abroad," which seem to be the same thing, do you think we should just list the resort as his address?
3. My SO doesn't have much of a relationship with his parents. He was raised by his sister, who isn't really his sister at all but a family friend. He has their passport numbers on his birth certificate, but doesn't know much about them. He has been trying to figure out where they were born and their current locations (he is not even sure if they are still living?), but if he isn't able to, any suggestions about that?
Thanks in advance!
