  1. Hello, Vegas filers!

We had our interview today, got approved on the spot. Questions: How did you meet? Did you meet each others parents, when? Then we were asked if there's any additional bona fide evidence, but after we've submitted Citibank credit card statements (i'm an authorized user on my husband's card), medical insurance and lots of flight tickets the officer said that we are approved.

Our case is very easy, no red flags - 2 years of dating, 1 year engaged, K-1, then AOS.

Green card is expected to arrive in 10-12 days.

    Our processing times: NOA - 1 July 29 2019, Ready - September 21 2019, EAD/AP - December 6 2019, Interview - 20 Feb 2020. Las Vegas field office.

    Good luck to everyone!

Would you mind posting the link of the different websites? I didn’t know there where two.

This is the old website, you can type in your case number and check the status right away - https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do;jsessionid=F16975E4625DF66B4E2A85E9ACABB20D

This is the new website, you need to create your profile in order to log in and check the status of the cases - https://myaccount.uscis.gov/

Thank you for answering. Could be normal. I just wanted to figure it out if it was just me haha

Hello there! Try new USCIS website (the one where you have to register your profile in order to check case status). For me both USCIS app and old website show "fee received" whereas new website says "biometrics completed" - for both AOS and EAD.

Hate to grave-dig, but how long did it take you guys to see the appointment dates open? :) Do you guys know of any whatsapp groups?

    Hello there!

It took us a month for the dates open up in the calendar, but from what I see now in our whatsap groups (we've got 3 of them - one for K-1 girls, one for AOS girls and one for interview dates tracking) it was a very unusual situation. Pls DM me and I will send you group administrator's phone number.

🤦🏻‍♂️ her interview is within 3 weeks on June 21, now what do we do?

    Hello,

Your fiance definitely needs a police clearance certificate from each country she lived in for more than 6 months over the age of 18. I belive the electronic version of MVD police certificate can be obtained faster than in 4 weeks. You should ask her to check gosuslugi.ru website.

In case you won't be able to bring the certificate to the interview, she will most likely be asked to email the copy of it once she gets it. Till then the interview status will be pending.

    Regards,

    Elena

Alright guys.....time for a stupid question. My husband's interview for his CR-1 Visa is on Friday morning and I am seeing conflicting addresses for the entrance of the embassy for the interview. The interview confirmation page says Novinskiy Boulevard, 21, however the normal entrance to the Embassy is Bolshoy Devyatinsky Lane, 8 and this is where we went to the USCIS office when we originally submitted the petition in February. I also see the link below saying the Visa unit moved to the Bolshoy Devyatinsky Lane address (dated January 2018), however, I have colleagues who have applied for non-immigrant visas saying they went to the Novinskiy Boulevard entrance.

    https://ru.usembassy.gov/attention-visa-applicants-u-s-embassy-moscow-visa-unit-moved-new-location/

This feels like an incredibly stupid question......but which address is correct for the immigration visa interview?

(I know they are close to each other, but my husband currently has a broken foot and is on crutches, so would prefer to not walk back and forth between the entrances on Friday morning)

    Hello there,

Correct address is Bolshoy Devyatinsky Lane, 8. IV and NIV visa applicants stand in the same line and then, once inside the Embassy territory, they are distributed between two separate lines - security guard helps with that.

    Hope it helps,

    Elena

  8. Hello,

I would advise you to write a request re case status to consulMO@state.gov. Status updates on ceac seem to happen quite erratically, so the best way to find out what is going on with the case is to write to them or call the hotline (8 800 100 2554 - for calls from Russia and 718 425 8337 for calls from US) and file the inquiry.

    Hope it helps.

Elena, Our case has already arrived to the embassy and is going through ‘Administrative Processing’. I know there was a holiday all last week in Russia so the embassy was closed. I am not sure where you go to pay for the visa fee and the ceac.com website says we have to file the DS-160 which has already been done. Should we be going onto the traveldocs.gov site to pay for the visa fee? In your last message you said in some cases the embassy doesn’t send out a confirmation email with instruction to schedule the interview. Did I read that correctly?

    Hello there,

Here's the information about the fee - https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ru/ru-niv-visafeeinfo.asp#payment

Also, you should make sure that the profile information in traveldocs is up to date - DS 160 number, etc

Once you update payment receipt number in traveldocs, it takes 1-3 work days for it to be recognised by the system. Then, the embassy will process your case and open up the calendar. Recently girls have been waiting for a month to get access to the calendar.

Thank you so much, you are so kind to me:)) Is there a way I can join the whatsapp group that you mentioned?

No worries, I can totally understand that the process can be frustrating at times. I will DM you re WhatsApp group.

Elena - Thanks for your reply. We've already completed the DS-160 but it seems my fiancé called the embassy and they instructed her not to do anything until she receives a confirmation email with instructions on scheduling her interview as well as paying for the visa fee.

I would recommend to pay the fee (sometimes it takes a couple of days for the payment to be processed) and to have everything ready in the travel docs profile. Once the case reaches the Embassy, you will enter the visa fee payment receipt number and wait for the calendar to open up

The main problem is, you are starting too many new threads that all relate to the same situation/case. This makes it more difficult for other users to properly respond to you because, if you have questions in multiple threads all over the site, they will not see the full context of your case.

Just keep all questions and discussion to your K-1 case in Moscow to this exact thread. You can just go to the bottom and add a new reply to update it. Starting a totally new thread is not necessary.

Hope this helps! We're not trying to be unfriendly, it's just that posting too many new topics creates confusion and disorder that actually makes it harder for others to properly answer your question.

I agree) I really want to help Kristina and keep answering her questions diligently but they keep popping up in different places)

Has anybody faced the situation of getting locked out of the account on ustraveldocs.com? Yesterday couldn't access it and had to call customer line and the woman said that it got blocked due to suspiciuos activity and will be unblocked within 72 hours.

You shouldn't log in to traveldocs for more than 3 times in 24 hours. The access will be unblocked within 72 hours, no one will be able to say, how much time it will take exactly.

To check the status of your case, while you are blocked, you can call the hotline - they will be able to advice if the calendar is opened.

But they do not open the calendar with dates at all. Cannot view it

    Hello Kristina,

Don't worry - this is a standard procedure. Once the Embassy is ready for you interview, you will receive an email and you will be able to see the calendar - either the dates or, in case there are no dates available, "no dates available" message.

Approx 10 girls in our WhatsApp group are waiting for the calendar to be opened.

And just in case I'm writing the same message in Russian:

Не переживайте, так и должно быть. Когда Посольство будет готово к интервью, Вы получите письмо на email и в traveldocs откроется календарь - либо сможете выбрать дату интервью, либо будет сообщение "на данный момент нет дат".
