This is what frustrates me about the whole process. You got your DQ in less than a month after submission while im here religiously checking emails for a response lol. I had to resubmit the police record on 1/15/2020 which is before you submitted.......their process makes no sense. You would think they'd have a different section for people who resubmit one simple document instead of having to go back to the end of the line. Oh well. Congrats btw

I'm sorry to hear that... Our theory is that some officers are more efficient than others😂 Just like how some centers process the petition in 6 months but it took us 13 months to break up with Nebraska lol If it makes you feel better, today is actually the 505th days since our PD 😂😂And the wait time for interview in Canada is  5 months...Can't wait to finish the whole thing and be with my husband! I feel your agony... but don't lose hope!

    Hi everyone,

I have a question about the digital photo.

I had the photo taken professionally and they sent a digital image. But when i open and upload the imagine on the website it is much lager than 2”x2” . It is the right pixels 600x600 and 159KB.  Am I doing something wrong here, or does it just appear larger on my screen? Thanks for any help! Also if it’s digital, then just one photo is necessary or must I scan it as well?

As long as the pixels and the size are right, it doesn't matter how it appears on your screen, considering everybody has different types of monitors. We just uploaded the digital form only

Congrats!! That was a fast DQ!

    Thank you so much🙌 🙌

Yea we checked the documents like millions of times before we submitted them LOL Because we were so traumatized from the wait time in Nebraska (13 months for approval), so we spent extra efforts to make sure there's no more delay

Hope all of you who're still waiting can get a fast DQ too!

  4. Hi all, we finally got our approval today!! Yay🙌🙌

For those who got RFEs, here's our timeline for reference:

    NOA1: 09/28/2018
    RFE posted:09/23/2019
    Received instruction:09/27/2019(*letter date:09/30)
    Mailed:10/01/2019
    Received evidence:10/08/2019
    NOA2:10/21/2019( In mailbox 10/26/2019)

No update on website nor email. We got the approval letter in mail.

Best of luck for the rest of you!

  5. I think with an increasing amount of k3 filers, the process for everybody would eventually slow down again. Just because they have to squeeze time to deal with double amounts of cases now( cr1/ ir1+ k3). But it doesn't hurt to try since so far the result has been positive. At least for now it's still a trick that's shared within small community. I regretted I didn't find out k3 soon enough lol And I have waited a year for nothing. Anyway, I love vj and I have learnt many useful info from here. We need to support each other. Timelines are still useful regardless, but if people don't feel comfortable to share them, we should respect their choices too.

  6. Hey P&E, thanks for posting this question here. I was wondering if you were able to expedite your case at Montreal consulate? Have you tried to contact NVC or the consulate?

I'm in the same boat pretty much. I didn't expect my case would take so long to approve and by checking the trend I anticipate that there would be a long wait before my interview on 2020. I'm worried that it will delay to the point that my work permit has expired. Please let me know if any updates on your case. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and good luck on your case!

Hello everyone! Me and my husband got our RFE last Sept 27.

PD: Nov. 2, 2018. Is it a bad thing?

I know a lot of people get RFE's but when I search on google they make it seem so bad like a soft denial. Yesterday I was happy when we got the update on case tracker now I can't help but feel so sad thinking about what part of the application did we did wrong. 😭

    We filed K3: PD: Sept. 3, 2019

They'll send you an instruction in a few days. We had RFE on 09/23 and got the notice on 09/27 that required a petitioner's passport photo. It's just gonna set back the case a bit but shouldn't be a soft denial.

I shouldn't have to file something for them to approve the i-130...it's their bad system.

This process feels endless..when we applied over a year ago the estimated processing time was 5-7 months...now it has doubled. It's truly unfair.

I totally agree with what you said...I understand that they might have overwhelming workload but they really need to upgrade their digital system and find out an efficient way to deal with cases. Not only that the system is obsolete, unfair but also inhumane. In Canada, applicants can accompany their spouse and they can legally work here while their cases are pending...

I'm truely sorry for your waiting. Don't give up hope, we're almost there

I did call. They gave me nothing. In fact worse than nothing, the guy said it could take 15 months for approval.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you see some updates soon. The long waiting process truely set back a lot of things. My husband was gonna call today, but I guess I'll ask him to save his efforts and time since it's not worthy lol
