She will be there for the high school hockey tournaments!   And the snowstorm that usually arrived about that time.

    .. I do not miss Minni-snow-da winters.

My fiance arrived in Manila Wednesday and collected here CFO sticker from the CFO office. Visited with her friend for a couple of days and flew out Friday morning (MNL time). She flew to NRT and is in the air on her way to the US. We should be together in 12 hours!

Guess it's over to the AOS forum...thanks, all! Good luck to everyone!

I will try to check in and answer questions if I have the knowledge to do so. Can't say enough how much we appreciate those of you who are willing to help those on their visa journey.

She got it! Interview 2/14. Visa Issued 2/27. VIH 3/4.

She will collect her CFO sticker on Wednesday. Flight is Friday. Now we are just sweating the potential credit card issue at check/in. I’ve scanned it along with my DL so she will have that. And my passport bio page. Anything else?

Congrats to all those who have had good news and fingers crossed for those still waiting!

And sincere thanks to all who offer their time and expertise on this forum. You are amazing.

You can look up the wait times by time of day for any POE.  For Seattle the average MAX wait time in minutes over the past three months for Non USC's is for each hour is as follows
    Time             Minutes
    0600 - 0700 24
    0700 - 0800 60
    0800 - 0900 52
    0900 - 1000 52
    1000 - 1100 75
    1100 - 1200 76
    1200 - 1300 55
    1300 - 1400 29
    1400 - 1500 15
    1500 - 1600 26
    1600 - 1700 33
    1700 - 1800 17
    1800 – 1900 38
    1900 – 2000 19
    2000 - 2100 30
    2100 - 2200 29
    2200 – 2300 22

So based on the above 2.5 hrs might be OK.  If you are jittery, take the added hours

Not willing to take that risk. With my luck, she will fall and break an ankle in all this fricking snow and ice and I would be looking at a $50,000 medical bill. Better safe than sorry.

UID is the number under the barcode in your embassy appointment confirmation page.

Hey, thanks for this. So tired of watching that CEAC processing icon only to have it time out! Tried using the AA number and worked instantly. Since I'm checking the site daily, sometimes multiple times - lol, this method will save what sanity I have left.

Yes, it did that right away. Well, when it went to AP. Hopefully it's nothing to be concerned about and it will switch tomorrow. My fiance is going a bit crazy with the waiting but we are hanging in there. It may change her travel plans but we have not booked the flight yet so will just need to adjust our expectations if things don't go as planned.

Yes, you can fill out the DS-160 with her assistance. She will need the confirmation with bar code once it is completed so you should either print that out and send with the other documents or email her the PDF and have her print it.

She will also need to pay the visa fee (see instructions on Hank's site) and she will need the payment receipt so make sure she hangs on to that. She will need her case number to do that, however.

Make sure she gets a lot of passport photos. She will need 4 for medical and interview and she will need them when she gets to the US.

She will also want some additional photos and/or chat logs since you filed the I-129F to show continuing bona fide relationship.

She can pre-register at SLEC for her medical to save time at her medical appointment though there are no scheduled appointments. First come, first serve. Case number needed.

She can register and take the CFO seminar which can be done before the interview and some people, including my fiance's CO, think it's a good idea as your fiance will get a bit of interview experience and know what to expect. She will need to collect her CFO sticker once she has her visa in hand (maybe the one drawback to taking the seminar before the interview.) Again, she will need her case number.

If she has ever lived/worked in another country for 6 months, she will need police clearances from those countries.

The CFO form is a bit confusing. My fiance had the same question as she was filling it out to register. The form asked for Country of Citizenship and she at first thought she was supposed to answer Filipino. But they are asking for the citizenship of the petitioner so they know which seminar you are attending. So if your fiance is American, you filled it out correctly. And you are registered for the American seminar.

We are in the same situation. Approved 2/14 but waiting to see ISSUED. My fiance has taken the CFO seminar so just needs to collect the sticker at the airport. She is hoping to fly on 3/11 but we have not purchased airfare yet. She is in Albay so not sure what kind of timeline we are looking at for 2GO delivery. Once it's delivered, I will book the flight.

She mentioned that Monday, the 25th is a Philippine holiday so perhaps they are behind a couple of days due to the holidays? Patience is a virtue, I keep telling myself.

pamawemo got a reaction from Hank_ in How are K-1/2 Visas from, Philippines going?
Our K-1 was just approved last Thursday. I submitted my I-129F May 25, 2018 so the time from application to approval was 8 1/2 months. We could have had it done in 7 1/2 months but were held up by required police clearances from Singapore and Hong Kong.

Medical at St. Lukes is a 2-day process. First day is exam, x-ray, labs. Second day is vaccinations and pick up packet for embassy interview. You can pre-register online but appointments are first come, first served.

CFO is required and you need to register online for a spot before attending.

payixbka is correct. As of now, Interviews are only done on Thursdays. Read Hank's links - great step-by-step info.

I was able to talk a bit more with my fiance about her interview which was held earlier today. She was scheduled for 7:15 and everything took about an hour. She said the people at the first two windows were "strict" and added a bit to her nervousness but the woman at the interview window was more welcoming and put my fiance at ease. The longest wait was to get to the interview window.

The CO first focused on my DUI arrests from 15 years ago and my fiance assured the CO she knew all about them and we have talked at length about that. The CO asked her what my mother's maiden name is (we were prepared for that one), my birthdate and asked to see the affidavit of support (not transcripts). She asked her to tell the story of how we met and what it was like when I came to visit (I've only been to the Philippines once). She looked at our photos (my fiance had a little album put together) and asked how often and how long we chat every day. She also asked her if she had met or talked to anyone in my family and my fiance was able to tell her yes because we have video chatted with everyone and she and my sister have become close friends. The CO seemed to like that.

The CO told my fiance she was glad/impressed she had already taken the CFO because they had discussed IMBRA already at the CFO and the CO gave her the pamphlet. My fiance said taking the CFO before the interview was very helpful because it prepared her for the preliminary questions at the embassy and for the interview. After about 3-4 minutes, the CO told my fiance it appeared we were meant to be and congratulated her.

My fiance said she and some of the other applicants - once outside - burst into tears. Happy and relieved tears no doubt. Now we wait for the visa which she was told would be 4-5 working days to process and then it would be shipped so probably 2 weeks. Once she has the visa, we will book her flight.

Thanks to everyone here who has been so helpful especially Hank whose website I referred to countless times. I know we have a lot more ahead as we navigate the next steps but we are just going to relax and enjoy our success on this part of our visa journey. Salamat!
