Hi everyone, had my interview on monday then my case status changed to case was approved. Still no card is being produced. Just wanting to see how long it usually takes for card to be produced after it switches to case was approved?

Hi everyone! Just received like a lot of people here the letter about the biometrics for AP.
Although still no update on anything since they received the RFE answer end of January...
I received one in the mail after I already go my combo card, weird.

I had my AOS interview on Monday and on Tuesday my case status online changed to Case Was Approved. I haven't gotten any notification that my card is being produced. Do I have anything to worry about? My case was approved, so that means my green card should be coming soon, correct? At the interview she said it could take a couple of weeks for her to review my case.

Just wanted to write up an update regarding my interview today. When I was called up the interviewer asked my husband to wait in the waiting area. When we went inside she went over the form and asked me to confirm all the information like dates of entry, marriage, parents names, etc. Then most of the yes or no questions on the form. Then she said the reason my husband wasn’t called in to interview with me is because we had already filed for the K1 and when she interviews couples together it means she wants to verify questions between them. She said she believed our relationship was real basically. And so she asked me how we met and how it turned into a marriage. Gave her all the supporting documents. And she said she couldn’t approve me on the spot because if she goes back and reviews the documents and she’s missing something then it would delay the green card so I should just wait for the update online. That’s pretty much it. I’ll update everyone when I get the approval! Good luck to all!

I’m happy that so many people are getting their EADs but it’s very discouraging to see mid December filers getting it before so many people still waiting for months and months 😔

Good afternoon everyone,
My husband ( Dual citizen Iranian and Canadian ) applied for CR1 and in DS 260 form they asking to upload document. They asked for Canada police clearance and Iran police clearance, he wasn't in Iran for 20 years. Also they are asking for military document which he was in 2 years service ( Sepah) when he was in Iran. I asked him to translate that military service card and upload it into website.
Is that going to be a problem due to Trump ban if he served 2 years in Iran? Is anybody with dual citizenship connected to ban countries recently got immigrant visa approval?
I also have dual citizenship. Born in Canada but I have an Iranian passport because my parents are Iranian. I applied for a K1 visa and was approved and received my visa 2 days after my interview. I was questioned about my Iranian citizenship and travel to Iran during the interview and I just explained.
Your husband may go through administrative processing (AP) because of his citizenship and previously being in the military. AP can last a few months at the Montreal consulate.
My brother in law is a Canadian permanent resident and holds an Iranian passport. They issued him a B2 visa through the waiver. He had no problems at all.

Hi Everyone,
I am in the processing of putting together my AOS package. Can you tell me what supporting documents you included for the I485 and for the I864 if you have already done it? Just want to make sure my list is complete. :))
Thanks!
Sabrina
For I485 I included the following:
- the form filled and signed by me
- 2 passport style photos with my name and A number written on the back
-photocopy of my birth certificate
- photocopy of the biographical page of my passport
- photocopy of i-797 (NOA for I129F)
- photocopy of k1 visa
- photocopy of entry stamp
-photocopy of I94 from (also included copy of i-94 from website)
-copy of certified marriage certificate (the original)
- copy of ds-3025 (the sheet I got when I did my medical in Toronto)
For form I864:
- the form filled and signed by my husband
-a photocopy of the biographical page of his passport (or u can include birth certificate)
-his 2018 tax transcript
- an UPDATED letter of employment
- last 3 months of paystubs.

I did a lot of research before I put my AOS package together and pretty much everyone suggested to put the original copy of your marriage certificate. That is technically a copy but is notarized and certified. When you get married they give you as many copies as you want, but you need to pay extra.
Are copies of the marriage certificate also required for the I-765 and I-131 sections or just one copy is enough for the entire application?

Planning on mailing my AOS documents today. I have two questions:
1. Do I have to submit an original or copy of my marriage certificate?
2. Do I have to sign & date all supporting documents and/or write my name and A number on the top corner or something like that? Or just clip it to the back of the forms.
Thanks!

On form I-485 question 1 it asks whether you’ve ever been associated with any organizations, associations, fund, foundation, party, club, society, or similar group in the united states or in any orher location in the world including any military service.
my question is... do u list any organizations or associations you were part of in your country if they weren’t military related? For example, I’m part of the board of nurses in the province that I moved from, would I list this in part 2-5.b.

I'm looking for some forums for that too. I just used sample I-485 forms from this website. Wondering about how to fill out the K2 I-485.
Make sure you download all the updated versions of the forms on USCIS! And apply for I--765 and I-131 in case.
I've been following the forum below.

Hey all! Glad to hear everyone's interviews have gone so well! Has anyone filed their Adjustment of Status application yet?
Not yet, but are you doing it yourself? Are there any threads you’re following for help? I want to make sure I don’t make mistakes and that I’m doing it right. Just got married on Saturday... planning to have the forms in by Nov 1.

I have a question related to the SSN and form i-765. I went to the social security office last week and had to be manually verified. Today they called and said that my card was processed and that it would be mailed to me in 2-3 weeks. I plan to apply for AOS by Nov 1. If I don't get my card by then, what do I put for Part 2, 13a-13b. Thanks.

For anyone who may still be following this: VISA HAS BEEN ISSUED! CEAC finally changed to issued this morning and my fiancé got his email for tracking as well. He had his interview back on July 3, 2019. Was told he was approved but then received DS-5535 within a few hours and we have been waiting ever since!
So happy for you! Congratulations

I’ll also post my update since @QueenieBonds shared with us. I’ve been in Michigan for about a week now. My fiancé and I drove through the Port Huron POE through Sarnia. I made a basic list of the items in the boxes we had in the car. I had the boxes labelled. They never asked for a list and I never had to fill out any sort of forms. They never asked what was in the car. When we got to the border we told them we had a K1 and we had to go inside. Keys and phones had to be left inside. Only thing we could take with us was our passports and documents. The officer was VERY friendly and made the entire process smooth. He did ask us some basic questions such as the address I’d be staying at. Told us we had to get married and adjust status within 90 days and that’s it! Very easy

Has the AOS checklist changed after the 15th or just the forms? I’m starting to fill out forms and want to make sure I’m not missing something. Thank you!!!

Hi everyone,
I’m leaving to the US soon and I was wondering if anyone has gotten temporary health insurance for the period between entering the US and getting married? If so, what types of insurance allow individuals with a K1 visa to apply for that?
Thanks.
