Hi. I've been keeping up with the general US Embassy Reopening thread but no one over there seems to have any news on Brazil. Hopefully those who get their interviews rescheduled will keep us updated here. At the end of May we got notice that our case was completed at NVC (which was suprising because we weren't expecting them to be operating normally), so now all we do it wait for notice about the interview. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us.

We have a very similar timeline when it comes to Case Completed at NVC. Fingers crossed!

I am a US citizen living in the UK and moving back to the States with my British husband and British/American children.  I've been applying for both remote working and state-based jobs and have had several interviews via Zoom, but most of the challenge for me is that we don't have a firm date for when we will be stateside as COVID has delayed my husband getting an interview date.  I've just had to turn a job down because they wanted me to start on 4th September and I don't think I can be there by then.  You should most certainly apply for jobs in the US, but unless you can go ahead of your husband or have a firm date for when you will be in the States, it is a lot less likely that you will be able to find something now.

I think it's fair to apply to US based companies, if you are a US citizen then it should not be an issue with work authorization and if you're planning to eventually relocate back to the US, then it makes even more sense.

I know two people from Brazil who have an interview date for early august, they sent an email asking if they were gonna have the interview or if the interview was going to be canceled, the consulate replied saying the interviews stand, so it looks like Brazil might be opening in august.
I just don't think they will say anything before july 15th, they're probably not authorized to do so

I read on another post here on VJ that someone recently (as of this week) got their interview scheduled for September. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Not yet. Hopefully they'll arrive after the payments get processed.

When you try to call NVC , till you don’t hear a  ring before the message start . Hang up and try again . 
i do tant at each time and this « ring » is the « sign » that they gonna take your call .
if USCIS sent your case on 09/14 . It takes about a week for them to receive it but you have to call to know it . For the case number they gonna send you an email . You will probably hear something pretty soon ( Nvc received my case on September 10th and I received my Case number on octobre 4th for example )
