KamiPalmersQueen reacted to designguy in Cannabis
It doesnt matter what is legal at the state level, immigration is a federal process. Cannabis is a schedule I drug(on the same level as LSD and heroine, and considered "worse" than drugs like cocaine) at the federal level. He must answer truthfully at his medical exam. Current drug users are not admissible for immigration. If the physician believes he is still using drugs he may need to undergo drug testing for a year to ensure he is no longer using before his visa will be issued

You might be able to "pick up" where you left off, but many of your required documents will have expired and need to be refreshed

KamiPalmersQueen got a reaction from gabluc in Petitioner Interview Request
My husband did his interview yesterday in Kingston, JA. its temporary denied until they receive his medical and also I need to go there and do an interview with him as well. My question is how do I schedule the interview? Do I just send an email to the address they provided letting them know they day I can come? or is there an actual site where I can choose the date?

Send the email with the date that you’ll be available and they’ll respond with the time.

Yea they drill us at the interview.but my husband came with me so I think that helped us alot. Yea it's a long process but ita totally worth it in the end.i followed some forum here on Visa journey that's how I keep track and know as to when to expect my interview date. I called Nvc after 2 weeks I think and on the day when I called they said they assigned me a interview date on that day and i will get an email confirming it soon.

Relax and take many breaths. We all know what it feels like to be going through this. I'm nearing the final stage and I'm coming undone some days!! Make sure you triple check everything sent so that you won't have to resubmit documents. And many blessings! I don't believe in luck but I know we will be blessed through this process.

When you log in to CEAC you will see the option "Start Now" probably right next to paid. I don't remember exactly. Been a while that I filled out mine. But when you click on start now you will be directed to the DS 260 form.
You can view a sample of the form on their official website.

this is the most helpful information that I located when we were going through the BVC stage for IR visas. It’s the official government website so up to date. I found it helpful to go all the way through each page , looking at every link etc . first. That gave me a good overview and I then used each individual step as we got to it
