Hello ! I’m wondering if anyone that filed Oct 2023 is still waiting interview ? Husband applied Oct 20 2023 and still nothing. Anyone experiencing the same thing ?
Me! My Receipt date is 13 Oct 2023, and I'm still at "actively reviewing your case." There's still a lot of us out here! 😭

Hi there! Thank you for responding. I saw another post on this site that mentioned they are from NYC, they filed in Nov ‘23 and already have an interview. I have no idea if it’s due to being in a big city. I think it’s at random. It’s pretty nerve wracking though. Hopefully our statuses change soon. When did you file?
I filed on 13 Oct 2023. I hope it's not coz I filed on Friday the 13th lol jk. Good luck to us! 😆

Still no interview
I know we should be patient, but we see a lot of people getting their interviews and they filed after him. I’m hoping we get good news soon. Thanks to this forum, I know not to trust the estimated processing time (it currently says 4 months*). We are from The Bronx and our field office is NYC. Any October filers from NYC?
I hear you. I've seen posts of people file in December and already got interviews. I'm not in NYC, but from Chicago. I figured maybe bigger cities are busier and have more workload..?

Mine went from 4 months to 1 day... I'm checking tomorrow and the suspense is killing me! 😬
UPDATE: Mine now says "taking longer than usual." You guys are right, it's not even remotely accurate. 😅 From now on I'll just check every couple of weeks.

My estimated completion time went from 4 months to 2 days! Could that be a glitch? Because they are even yet schedule me for an interview. Checked my Documents Tab also, no interview notice yet either. Has anybody else's time changed so drastically? Filed on 10/24/2023 online. Tampa FO.

Got my NOA extension letter yesterday, 04/09/11. It was dated 04/03/2021. Glad this part is over! Now we wait for biometrics, or lack thereof...

Good to be back on VJ lol. Just sent in mine last week and was marked received by FedEx on 03/11. GC expires 04/09 so keeping my fingers crossed! Good luck, everybody! 🤞

When we had our AOS, they checked for the checking and savings account but took lots of pictures. Take a lot of photos together, in different contexts, with your families, friends, different places, even boring stuff like just watching TV at home. Show you have a life together.

When I was going through EAD app, I started volunteering for nonprofits that are in my field. I wasn’t paid of course, but my experience there helped me land my job right now. I started applying for paid jobs after I got my EAD. As soon as I got my card, I started writing my resume. I’m glad I waited coz ALL of the companies that gave me offers asked for I9 verification and even made disclaimers that they won’t move on with the hiring process if you don’t have the credentials to legally work here. I agree with one of the posters here to start networking, and probably become more involved in volunteer programs related to your line of work. The job market could get competitive if you don’t have connections or the right background experience, and the companies I applied to actually considered a lot of my volunteer work. Good luck!

NEW CARD BEING PRODUCED!!!!!!!!!!! Waaaa... finally this ordeal is ovaaaaahhhh!!! I was so nervous coz the officer interviewing us was so serious. I got a couple dates mixed up too. He also did not approve us on the spot (which, my lawyer said, is very common but of course I was still high key freaking out lol). But I am so happy this is done! Thank you, JULY 2018 group!!! Hope to see you all in a couple of years. For those waiting for their interviews, good luck!! If anyone has specific questions about how our experience was, just ask away and I’m more than happy to help. 😊

Guys I just did my interview! Officer said he'll review and we will hear from them in 2-4 weeks. My lawyer (who was at the interview too) said this is normal and actually knows the officer and said that's the norm for him lol. Rarely does an on the spot approval. Keeping our fingers crossed! They just looked through our pile of pics and asked us to pic like 6 of them. Didn't even ask for our joint accounts but checked our bills. I kinda feel nervous coz we were smiling the whole time coz my husband and I LOVE telling the story of how we met but the officer found it funny top and smiled a few times. Lol what can I say, I have a happy personality. 😊 We did our best and told the truth that we are just a couple of young broke millennials. Hope they send us a decision sooner! Good luck to everyone else waiting! I will update when I hear back. 😊😊😊

Chicago filer here. Just got my interview letter for 4/5/19. We submitted our application July 2018. I was expecting it would be later, so I’ve slowed down with the picture taking lol but we have a lot, even before we started dating. I’m both excited and nervous, wish us luck! 😊😊😊

anyone know why on my DHS account it says that they received my submitted date says August 10th and on the USCIS case checker its July 31st? I'll be hitting 139 days tomorrow according to the app, getting pretty fed up of this process 😂
Lol my dates online were not in sync too, but I found that following the NOA dates on the paper letter was the most accurate. 😊

Because of USCIS e-verify. Because it’s risky for most businesses if caught. Because the intending immigrant runs the risk of being underpaid, overworked, and harassed by employers/ coworkers without legal repercussions. If you’re getting bored and need something to do while waiting for EAD, go volunteer at an organization or an event (make sure you’re not getting paid or signing employment stuff tho).

Damn, congrats @Jiga! I'm currently on 134 days. They received my case exactly the same day as yours actually, on the 31st of July! I'm hoping to find out soon. I've been checking the case checker and not the other new one. Which one is best to be checking?
Don’t rely too much on the online sites, my case tracker still says “Case Received,” and the DHS one didn’t update my status until the day after I received my approval letter! Your mail might be on its way right now. 😊 Best of luck, you’ll get there soon!

So our favorite website, USCIS (the new DHS one), FINALLY updated my EAD status online at 5am this morning, after I finally got my approval letter last night. Also, for those who are wondering, “New Card Being Produced” is really listed before “Case is Approved,” which is funny coz u can’t produce a card without approval lol so it just means those two statuses are one and the same. Le Card is on its way. Now gotta spend this weekend at a coffee shop sipping peppermint mochas 🎄 while writing a bomb resume. 💪🏼

GUYSSSS!!! Ok so be careful what you wish for coz in my last post I said I checked the old website and the status was still “Case Received,” and I was like wishing that they just sent me my EAD in the mail without updating. WELL I GOT HOME LATE AND CHECKED MY MAILBOX AND GUESS WHAT WAS IN THERE??? MY FREAKING EAD APPROVAL LETTER! Approved on 11/29! I do not trust both USCIS websites now! Also, the expected date of adjudication here on VJ and USCIS’ date range is pretty accurate, in my experience. I am so freaking happy, I can FINALLY get something for my hubby’s birthday next month. Thank you so much to everyone here for being a great source, being an inspiration, and being patient. Now the wait for AOS interview begins, but for now I’m gonna savor this and enjoy the holidays. 🎄 We gonna hit the ground running in 2019! 🤗 I wish the best for y’all! 😘😘😘

For me they updated my status online to “RFE Received” when they received it then “Ready to Schedule for Interview” so I guess they were satisfied with it. But if you’re waiting for a letter, you won’t hear from them except if it was denied or need another RFE.

Just checked the old website (egov) in the slim hopes that they updated and it’s still the same message from July 2018. 😔😔😔 Hope they just surprise me with a letter like y’all. 😭😭😭
