She's not here on a visa anymore. She has her GC and will be able to remove conditions on her own. What I want to know is when did this warrant come to light? What crime is it said she committed? If this is a crime that happened before she received her visa, she can lose everything if it was approved on a lie. Please say you found this out by official sources and not from so and so that so and so knows kind of thing? It would not be the first time someone back home tries to destroy someone's life.

When you were filling out your AOS forms, there was a box on it that asked if you wanted them to apply for your SSN for you. I take it you did not follow VJ's guides and found some other site to follow. Here is the link check to the guides

EAD is your employment authorization. That should have been one of the forms I-765 you filled out when you applied for your adjustment of status. GC is the green card.

Do you have your EAD or GC now? Sadly it was your job to know what to file and apply for, you could have checked the box when you filled out your AOS forms. Sorry but this one falls on you and your spouse.

Now time to let those guys out of jail, release the funds they have seized and drop all charges on the ones who are still fighting things and clear the ones who already made a deal so they can get back home to their family.

You can apply for an ITIN number. I'm not sure how long that takes though.

A K2 can only get a SSN after they receive an EAD or GC.

Sadly nobody knows. It used to be 8 weeks for extra documents, CV were a little longer. Do not redo medical, or send anything back to them unless they request it.

Look up 15 minute city or initiative something like that. I already see little bits of this already underway. They are convincing owners of property to donate portions of their property under the guise that they are trying to revitalize the area to bring more ppl. Putting in sidewalks, made a 4 lane road into 2 lanes which all but eliminated most traffic through that area. Putting sidewalks in the hood is not going to make ppl want to walk around in that area. It's like putting lipstick on a pig really.

They are doing AOS so it is a US job with work authorization.

Yes they can use it. The spouse is still the main sponsor.

Follow with what K1visahopeful instructed to do. Starting off with married name when you apply for AOS is the easiest. Waiting more than 3 yrs to change the last name, and then all your ID, update all the Doctors, car insurance, and all the other little things here and there is a much bigger pain in the rear then doing it now. When you go to get the SSN don't mentioned the marriage or name changes. Many times it just confuses them and they think it voided the K1. It one reason why we recommend getting the social prior to marriage. The SSC may come if you check the box but it also may never come in. That is something that does happened a lot. By going down to the office it might come in faster. That can be helpful when adding your wife to your insurance, many HR stories on here that do not know they can add a spouse without a SSN.
