This seems to forward/redirect me to an eVerify website. What’s up with that?

It should be forwarding you to the USCIS site where it will ask for a one time code when you sign in then you click on myUSCIS option. This one is their updated site but sometimes officer only use this one and not the other, then sometimes vice versa so it's good to check both.

I have, all of the options I get require a receipt number, and I waited to get an agent, but no answer at all.

Try following the script to change your address. That will direct you to an agent. It may be awhile until they come on the line but IF there is a case number set up for y'all, they will have it. If they haven't cashed your check most likely they don't but maybe they can see something on their end that we can't. Doesn't hurt to try.

That's pretty much my situation now, my tourist visa expired on September, so now I have nothing to make my stay legal, I’m afraid of going out of the house because I’m so paranoid now.

We supposedly got a lawyer to make everything easier, and well that backfired like crazy.

It may be dumb of me to presume you haven't already thought of this or done it already, but have you tried calling them?

No, because before I was told that you needed to take the confirmation page.  But, this morning I read on the embassy's page about paying the visa fee, and I see that it's the bank deposit slip that the bank needs.  Thank you for your help, celie&joseph!

Ahh, so yes most likely that's the one they were referring to. Make sure he takes both (DS160 confirmation and the bank deposit slip) and he should be fine.

No worries, glad I could help!

      Hello all,

My fiance printed out what we thought was the confirmation page and took it to the bank to pay the visa fee, but the bank teller told him that it was not the correct page for the confirmation page.  Can anyone please explain how to get the confirmation page, and what does it look like?  We can't find any other page that we think could be the confirmation page.  The one my fiance printed out has a bar code in the upper right corner and has his photo, the word "Confirmation" under "Online Non-immigrant Visa Application (DS-160), a number in red ink, and then instructions under all of that.  Is that the confirmation page?  Or if not, where do we find it?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance,

                     Virgie

Did he take the bank deposit reference page? Maybe that's the one they were referring to. In Lebanon, when you go pay the fee at the bank you need to print out the bank deposit slip that you take to them and has a reference number.

Oh! It wud have been so nice of they had jus approved the AOS too without the interview 🙄.

They are jus unnecessarily making people wait for so long. I don't understand people who have applied for AOS had already gone through interview, medical, and background checks during K-1 process then why such a delay in adjustment of status. People came on K-1 entered US legally after almost a year long wait and rigorous process with a valid visa and now they are making us wait so long. It's so frustrating and disturbing.

    👍

Yeah, I agree lol especially since many of these interviews are scheduled a few months into their arrival and then another interview again in 2 years. Seems redundant. I get that they want to make sure the marriage is real but the evidence is not gonna change much within 2 years lol  maybe a baby or two.. maybe a house... maybe a car. Maybe none of those. IMO in makes more sense to issue the 2 year conditional one with the interview waived and give the couple two years to gather evidence for the removal of conditions interview. Some don't even make it that long and went through the AOS interview for nothing basically.

Is this new card for I-485 (Green card) or is it for I-765 (work authorization)?

Does this mean you guys don't have to attend interview for green card?

No, this was for EAD. We still have our interview in 11 days, but now he can start applying at places earlier at least and calmly wait for the green card after his interview. Yay to small victories lol

Hi everyone. Not sure if this is the right place to post this but thought I’d give it a shot. I filed for AOS after coming in on a K1 on April 4th along with the Travel and work permit applications. I have my interview for the I-797 in a month, but still have not been approved to work or travel. The last update I have for the work permit is on May 7th confirming my fingerprints had been accepted. The last I heard for the travel is that they had sent me a receipt notice. (Side note I did get advanced parole accepted, could this be an issue)? How can I chase my work and travel permits? Appreciate any and all help you guys can give me :)

You can try to request an expedite for your work or travel permit if you have good reasons behind it, or you can just wait until your interview next month and then you'll get your green card and you will no longer need the permits.

That is true for every office because it is based on individual facts and circumstances and the quality of evidence provided

Of course, naturally every case is different. But the reviews I've read mostly deal with one IO in particular.. a lady who comes off as rude and impatience for the immigrants so hearing others have had good experiences there helps.

Updating to help alleviate potential stress:

Had our I-485 interview yesterday in San Antonio.   Very nice officer and very casual interview.

20 minutes where the officer went through the application form,  checked through the yes/no questions (did you ever x/y/z/j) and then asked if we had any extra photos or evidence we wanted to add.    At the end of the interview -  we got a piece of paper with information on how to remove our conditions (I-751) in 2 years time.

Not going to fill out any data points or timelines for this website but filed early May and moved once so it's within normal bounds.

We have ours in 13 days in San Antonio, too. This helps! I keep hearing mixed reviews from the SA office.

We received notification in the mail today that our interview has been scheduled for December 12th which is way faster than others I've spoken with in this area. It took right at 4 months from NOA1. I think my local office average processing time is more like 14-16 months.

So, perhaps the request (and denial) of EAD might have spurred them on to schedule us for an interview early?

    NOA1: June 27th

    Biometric: July 18th

    Interview Scheduled: December 11th

It's funny you mention that. We also requested an expedite and got denied and 2 days later our interview was scheduled. I thought it to be a coincidence but there could be a link to these schedulings.

Hi guys! Our status just changed to interview was cancelled but we didn't even have the date of our interview. Is anyone know about it?

    Noa - July 18th

    Biometrics - August 13th

Ready to be scheduled - October 17th

The same thing happened to us and USCIS said it was a glitch

there is another thread where i have explained how I tried 3 times, and now in administrative customer "service" hell with DPS.

Same here. Had like 3 people trying to nail at me that it is possible, but for us it was not and I can't really afford to keep going back for just an ID so we let it be until he gets his EAD or green card. San Antonio DPS center you wait 4 hours to be at the counter for 2 min where they look for reasons to send you away. Lol

Did anyone here receive the notice “interview was scheduled” on a weekend or at night? Are all updates automatic updates and can happen during any time of the day/week? My case has been ready to be scheduled since 09/25 and I’m checking my status like crazy (although my app will update me 😂) because I should receive my interview date any day now. 🤞🏻

We received ours on a Friday night at 1am lol

Well, my medical exam for K-1 visa was in the end of October 2018, so it will be a year and almost a month by November 19th, my interview date. That's why I'm nervous a little bit

In that case, it will probably be up to the prerogative of the IO. This is from the I-693 instructions:

What if I am a K nonimmigrant visa holder and already had a medical examination overseas?
    Form I-693 Instructions 07/15/19 Page 8 of 12
If you were admitted as a:
    A. K-1 fiancé(e) or a K-2 child of a K-1 fiancé(e); or
    B. K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen or a K-4 child of a K-3 spouse of a U.S. citizen; and
    C. You received a medical examination prior to admission, then:
    (1) You are not required to have another medical examination as long as you file your Form I-485 within one year
of an overseas medical examination; and

    (a) The panel physician did not find a class A medical condition during your overseas examination; or
    (b) The panel physician did find a class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility, and
you have complied with the terms and conditions of the waiver.

    (2) Even if a new medical examination is not required, you must still show proof that you complied with the
vaccination requirements. If the vaccination record (DS 3025) was not properly completed and included as
part of the original overseas medical examination report, you will need to have the Part 10. Vaccination
Record completed by a designated civil surgeon. In this case, you must submit Parts 1. - 5., 7., and 10.
    of Form I-693.

So, it seems as long as you filed for AOS within the year after your medical, you should be okay. You may want to print the I-693 instructions and highlight this part in case you run into any issues.

I'm a bit confused.. Reading the checklist of what I need to bring for interview and it says "A completed medical examination (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted)". Does it mean that I have to do another medical exam or I can bring the one I did for K-1 visa?

You already submitted your medical at POE so all you need to bring is your vaccination sheet (DS-3025)
