I sincerely hope my case hasn't been shifted to some unknown location. I reached out to USCIS a few months back to inquire about the same, but their response was quite discouraging as they warned me that my case might get delayed if I kept asking them repeatedly.

Do you know what happened? I cannot understand why these people are playing with us. We did the right thing, and yet, we are facing so many difficulties. After reading all those posts, I do not know where our cases are.

Wow, I can't believe what I am reading here. I hope USICS isn't delaying your cases for contacting the congress representatives. One of the sad things about this is that we did the right thing. I am concerned now as to where our cases are. Some of the cases are lost in limbo...? If this is the case, is it because we applied to the N400? Cata

It is the Deep State! 😉 . I had made some inquiries about the delay with USCIS and unfortunately, their response was not very helpful. They warned me that if I continue to bother them, the process could be delayed further (in writing!). It's frustrating to see that these people aren't held accountable for their actions. At this moment, I decided to wait patiently instead of disturbing my travel plans for work and vacation. I know it's disheartening to see that we did everything right by applying for the K1 visa, but we're still being treated this way.

Unless a miracle happens, those of us based in Boston will only get an interview after October this year. I spoke to a friend who applied for N400 here after being a permanent resident for more than ten years; the process took seven months for her (And that was just when Covid19 began). So I resigned myself, and thankfully I am very busy at work and life not to think about this situation every second. Still, it needs to be fairer what they do in Massachusetts.

I have no interest in providing my data to you after what you have done. It is clear what you did. Good luck with your letter 😉

I am going to write a complain for so many reasons. What they are doing to us is not only unfair but emotional draining. I will for sure to write it from a critical race perspective but also using a woman view - the immigration law and how the treat me here is so patriarchal. The paradox is that we are based in Massachusetts! How ironic, right ? sure, all that discourse they have it here must be somehow reflected in practice, right !

Hi Can someone help me with an issue I have: I arrived with a K1 visa in 2019 and married in August 2019. I could not work in the US in 2019 (I did not have an employment permit). My husband filed taxes in 2020 for 2019 as a married filing separately. I did not file taxes for 2019 because I could not work. We filed taxes as married filing jointly for the years 2020 and 2021, and we will do so in January 2023. For the N400, I filed the tax returns for 2019 ( husband only), 2020 (together), and 2021 (together). My question is: Am I going to have a problem here because we did not file jointly for 2019 (even if we only were married for four months and I was not working?) Also, if this is a problem, how should I resolve this issue? Thanks! Cata

I received my NOA 1 and biometrics exempted letter yesterday in the mail. Online website only has the NOA 1. Now, I haven't received the letter transferring my case to the local office neither. What a PITA!

Thank you Mike. I will wait for the mail letter to see if I need to contact USCIS. To the date, I haven't received any letter on the website.

I applied online last Saturday and noticed a glitch in the system. I asked if they received my online form since I did not receive a receipt, but the payment went through. After that, the webpage showed my submission and the NOA1 and then nothing. Zero action. I am so upset. Will I receive a letter in the mail, or will the communication be online? I thought that anguish that comes with this process and the uncertainty was done!

Yes, I checked the documents on the website. I only got the NOA letter. 😬
