  1. My wife passed her interview today at the Irving, TX office. She did the combo interview. The interview went pretty quick. Took about 15 mins. Time at the site was about 30 mins total. I was expecting it to be much longer, since the notice stated to expect to be there up to 2 hours.

Her oath ceremony is scheduled for Nov 6th at Plano Convention Center.

It's been a long journey, but we're finally about to cross the finish line!

    Applied on: July 20th (Online)

    Biometrics reused: July 20th

    Interview notice: Sep 20th

    Interview date: Oct 25th

    Oath Ceremony: Nov 6th

Much love to others on this journey. Stay the course and your time will come before you know it!

Any updates from people with how long it took them for the Employee Authorization form (if filed), permission to travel (if filed), and last but not least the actual greencard application?

EAD/AP takes about 4-6 months. The GC will depend on where you live and the address you listed when you filed. Some are quick within a few months and some can take over a year for your GC. Go here to get information on processing times in your area.

    Hey @AmandaandChayne!!!

Been a long time since we chatted! We joined this site about the same time. So glad to hear that you were approved for your GC! We're still awaiting ours at this point but we did receive the EAD/AP Combo card about 2 months ago. We're probably about another 2 months out for our GC interview. Dallas is one of the busier Field Offices so it takes a bit to get an interview. No issues though! The Mrs. is able to work and has all of her US documents. Next step, GC!

Hello @SteVas   If I understood correctly, the status of your visa was issued and the next day you picked it up? Or the status "issued" lasted several days?

    Thanks

Hi @Juliee sorry for the delay. Yes we verified that the courier had the visa and then we went and picked it up.

Thank you! We actually got the Green Card in the mail today! Tampa is pretty quick lol.  He did approve us on the spot but didn't give us a stamp in her passport (stamped the packet a whole lot), said if we didn't get anything in the mail in 20 days to come back and he would stamp it.

I hope Dallas is quicker for you than the estimates! I imagine that is a pretty busy field office though.

Yeah it's one of the busiest in the country. USCIS suppose to be implementing a new process for over crowded field offices. They plan to have some cases moved to other not so crowded field offices.

They can send ours to Tampa. We'll make the flight!

    All went well!

Didn't really ask too may questions. Asked how we met, if we had any additional documents we would like added to our file. (We brought in our ultrasounds, because we are newly expecting).  So most of our questions/talk revolved around babies and tips for making a marriage work.

Nothing like I was expecting, but he did mention they have the authority to ask all sorts of questions such as who is 3rd in the line of succession for the presidency.  Sounds like they can dig very deep if they feel like it.

I wish you all the best!!  Our appointment was at 7:30, they wouldn't let our wave of interviews into the building until that exact time.  They took us back to the room around 8:20 and we were out the door by 9am. I'm thinking this all varies by location but wasn't too bad!

Glad all went well for you sir. Congrats on you both expecting!

Did they approve you on the spot or will they notify you later?

Yeah, depending on your location and the person doing the interview, the questions and the process could be very different.

I've been monitoring Dallas AOS filers and it look like it's about a year wait for our local office.

It doesn't look like there's much activity in this thread right now.

We are still waiting for our file to reach the NVC and be assigned a case number.

I'll try to supply as much information as possible to help future Panama filers.

Most are pretty much in a holding pattern for those who have received their K1 Visa. Awaiting AOS which could be short or very long depending your assigned local field office.

Hello guys. How long take the panama embassy for contact me after they receive my file?  Thanks

It takes about a week for them to contact you. You can speed up the process by contacting them. Go ahead and send your Profile page, DS160 and a scanned copy of your bank receipt. That will pretty much bypass them sending you the P3 and they will send P4 so you can schedule your medical instead.

Nope no combo card yet, but we did apply for it.

From some of the reviews I read on here about the Tampa field office, similar situations have occurred.  The officers end up canceling the combo card because the interview happens so soon.

It's kinda crazy.  How do the reviews look at your local office? @SteVas

Backlogged!!! At Dallas Field Office we're looking about 2 years. I'm hoping it goes quicker but Dallas has one of the highest wait times. Maybe I should move to Tampa! :)

Just just got our notification in the mail that our interview is scheduled for June 13th.  Not sure is Tampa is just fast or if processing times are quicker now.  Thought it was going to take way way longer.  Hope you guys all fair as well also!

    Hey @dwilder,

Is this the interview for your GC?

    @SteVas  @Ninaav and everyone else,

    How is everyone doing?

We just got our Biometrics scheduled for next week.  I'm wondering how everyone else's stuff is coming along.

    Hi @dwilder,

We've been busy planning for our wedding. Between that and me traveling every week since February. I haven't really had a lot of time to stay in touch on VJ. I hope all is going well with everyone and your process is going smoothly. We'll be getting married on May 4th. After that I'll file for AOS.
