I would think it's enough,  since you have the I-94 record/number. you should explain in the section for additional information the circumstances. Any copies/photocopies of the old passport / VISA?  (i submitted both my parents' packets in December)

did your mom arrive in the US more than 10 years ago? if not you may also be able to get a record from CBP I-94 website. what visa did she arrive on?

This is a bit different, but i went through AOS process myself without the original physical I-94 record (lost it), but was able to use the original passport/visa with admission stamp

it's not even heartbreak anymore, just being exhausted and frustrated mostly. but ready to have this part over.

From my understanding they are just testing from the 2008 civic test, I study and did my test on the 02/23 and only people who filed after December 1, 2020 and before March 1, 2021they have the option to get tested on the 2020 version or 2008.

The 2020 civic test was intended to create an additional and unnecessary barrier to naturalization, during the Trump administration.

    Hey everyone, it's been forever.

Long story short, in 2019, six months after entering the country, my spouse cheated, asked for a divorce,
moved in with the new woman and got re-engaged within months. I know, a proper soap opera/telenovela.

I was gathering the documents and I took a bit longer than I should've because I was heartbroken, (but still filed within the timeframe)
I mailed the documents in 2020, so of course I got stuck in the Pandemic timeline and have obtained both my extensions, which are valid until August.
I was also dumb and deleted a lot of the photos/messages out of anger, but I thankfully kept the big needed items. I've been told photos aren't too important.

I finally got my interview scheduled for March 31st, and I am mortified, thinking I don't have enough things with me.
I front loaded my application with the help of rapidvisa, I sent this and I am bringing the following evidence:

    * Lease of us living together, including emails with the landlord.
    * Our taxes filed Jointly for 2018
    * Proof I was on his insurance
    * Proof I was his primary life insurance beneficiary
    * e-mails to each other, good and bad.
    * Facebook screenshots and some random messages I could find
    * Proof of some trips we took together
    * proof of him being verbally abusive to me on an e-mail
    * an e-mail of him confessing to cheating
    * my receipts of paying for therapy
    * our divorce decree, which was started by him.
    * a letter from me explaining the separation

I am requesting 2-3 affidavits signed in front of a notary of people that knew us and knew the relationship was real.
One from his twin brother, one from a friend and one from a cousin. they all support me and were also blindsided by it.
probably will ask a 4th one from a friend that was in the car when he almost killed us driving drunk, but she is in Mexico
so no idea if this one will count.

I know you can't know if this will be enough, but that's all I've got. We never had joint credit cards or accounts, no children thankfully.
is there anything else I could include that I'm not thinking of?
Any words of encouragement or support are deeply appreciated.

DCMB got a reaction from Crazy Cat in Adjustment of status of parent with overstayed tourist visa
    Hello everyone,

I'm getting my citizenship certificate later this month but I want to be proactive and start the paperwork for my mom and apply I soon as I get it, she lives in USA, she came to USA on 2005 with a tourist visa (B2) with no plans to stay but due an abusive relationship with my father, she decided to stay, she is been working without authorization and she doesn't have lawful immigration status. Even though there's penalties, she is exempt and still be eligible for AOS  because she will be in the Immediate Relatives (parent of a U.S. citizen) category please refer: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-b-chapter-8

    I have a couple questions:
    1. One of the requirements to apply for AOS is proof of lawful admission, she has the physical version Form I-94, the Arrival-Departure Record Card, because she came before April 2013 there's no digital record in the i94 website, does a copy of the physical version should be fine?

    2. Unfortunately her passport with her tourist visa got lost, years ago so she don't have a record of the last stamp, passport number or visa number only the I-94. Is there anywhere I can retrieve that information here in the USA? what other evidence I can show that she had a lawful admission?

    3. Some forms ask for the entry information like the passport number and travel document number because I don't have that information I was thinking to add it in the additional information page.

Any advice or list of form that I have to file I would be more than graceful, thanks in advance :)

I-130 and I-864 are filled-out by the US citizen, and the rest of the forms are filled-out by the immigrant. In general, send the following four packets (*note that I-765 and I-131 packets are optional, but highly recommended) in the same envelope to the Chicago Lockbox:
I-130 with copy of your naturalization certificate, copy of your birth certificate, filing fees, etc.; I-485 with I-864 and supporting documents, electronic I-94 copy, filing fees, etc.; I-765 with electronic I-94 copy, etc.; and I-131 with electronic I-94 copy, etc. She'll separate each packet with rubber bands or fasteners: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/form-filing-tips
On the I-130 packet, I-130 payment method (check, money order, or Form G-1450) must be the very first item of this packet.
On the I-485 packet, I-485 payment method (check, money order, or Form G-1450) must be the very first item of this packet.

She'll eventually have to go to a doctor that has Civil Surgeon designation from USCIS. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-b-chapter-4
Timing of the Submission of the Medical Examination Report
Applicants may submit the Form I-693 medical examination report to USCIS:
Concurrently with the immigration benefit application; or
At any time after filing the immigration benefit application but before USCIS finalizes adjudication of that application. If not submitted simultaneously with the immigration benefit application, applicants may bring the medical examination report to an interview or wait until USCIS issues an RFE requesting the medical examination report.

If OP is aged 21 or older then OP's mother would become an Immediate Relative upon OP taking the naturalization oath: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-b-chapter-8
    Immediate Relatives
Certain adjustment bars do not apply to an immediate relative, including the spouse or child (unmarried and under 21 years old) of a U.S. citizen, and the parent of a U.S. citizen older than 21. [2]
An adjustment applicant applying as an immediate relative may be eligible to adjust status even if:
    The applicant is now employed or has ever been employed in the United States without authorization;
    The applicant is not in lawful immigration status on the date he or she files the adjustment application;
    The applicant has ever failed to continuously maintain a lawful status since entry into the United States;
    The applicant was last admitted to Guam or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) as a visitor under the Guam or CNMI Visa Waiver Program and is not a Canadian citizen;
The applicant was last admitted to the United States as a nonimmigrant visitor without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program; or
The applicant has ever violated the terms of his or her nonimmigrant status.
No. OP cannot currently (nor previously) file I-130 for parent because OP is a LPR.

But after OP naturalizes then the I-130 can be filed.
Check her I-94 record: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/recent-search Her B-2 status most likely ended way before 2021 assuming an Extension of Status (EOS) was not filed and approved.

DCMB reacted to bobarola in AOS for Parent of USC after Visa Overstay
    Hi All,
Helping prepare an AOS package for parents of a USC, who overstayed a visitor visa (B2). A few questions:

1- in the forms that asks for beneficiary's (parent) past and current employment, is entering Self-Employed acceptable? What address should they enter if jobs are in many different places, like contracts. home address?

2- we hear often that undocumented immigrants should still file taxes (beneficiary filed). However none of the forms seem to ask for evidence/records that they did. Is that right? and should that tax filings be brought to AOS interview, or submitted with the package? does it need an explanation?

3- Beneficiary(parent) received an SSN from a student visa long ago (70s), does proof or evidence of it need to be submitted? They entered it in the forms, but don't have the original card and cannot get replacement

4- If petitioner meets I-864 requirements well above the guidelines, is it still recommended to add income from the other member of the household via I-864A or would it be overkill or fishy? (petitioner's spouse) adding them brings them to ~400% over guidelines..

    Thanks so much!

    Hello,
I received the interview notice last Jan. 25. I also don’t know why it was in San Bernardino because I had my green card interview in Santa Ana. Maybe because it’s a tad bigger than Santa Ana.
To add, before I got the interview notice, last December 6, I received a text that there was an an update on my application, but when I logged in, the status was the same and was the same for a few weeks until that interview schedule.

    Hello everyone,
    Just sharing my journey.
I applied last July 14,2021. Interview was scheduled this morning, March 1, in San Bernardino, CA.
My appointment was 1:30 PM but wasn’t interviewed until 3:40 PM.
The interview was a breeze, officer was friendly. After the 6th question, I was told I passed the civics test and was given the yes/no questions. No documents were checked, only the green card.
Then after about 15 mins, I was told my picture had to be retaken since the one I have on file was 5 years old, then officer took my picture.
She then told me to go down and attend the Oath taking downstairs, to my sheer delight that it was a same day oath ceremony. By 4:20 PM, I was handed my certificate.
My immigration journey has ended. Good luck to everyone!

I had all my original docs what I uploaded in my USCIS account. Officer asked me only DMV, passport and tax transcript. English reading writing test happened followed by six questions. Don't remember any now. Then Yes/No questions. Officer approved it right there. Brought my cert and made me take oath in his office.  He was very professional and nice. Contrasting to what I read here, officer told me to update the SSA first then DMV and then passport application. I did exactly the way he said. My passport is under process now and I will be done. Overall, great experience.

The spouse should ALWAYS come to the interview if you have a pending i-751 (doesn't matter if it's only the i-751 or the i-751 AND the N-400 as a combo interview). The i-751 is a joint petition, so most often the officer will want to ask your spouse some questions too.

For the N-400 the spouse is not needed and in most cases not allowed to come with you. The N-400 is not a joint petition.

    Hello everyone,
My interview was scheduled today at 9:30 am at Holtsville NY, I got there at 8:30am the wait was around an hour the interview was okay.

First thing he asked me if your spouse is here with me today I said no, I didn’t knew he was allowed to be here (nowhere in the interview schedule notice saids to bring your spouse and more with covid restriction) I asked is it a requirement to he to be here? and he didn’t gave me a yes but he said just because your conditional status  was not still removed them I said my spouse is in the parking lot I can call him so he can get in, he said no is fine let’s get the citizenship process done first.

The officer asked me to write a sentence, and read out loud another sentence asked me 6 questions I answered correctly he said good job and he proceed, unfortunately the server was down in his computer and he couldn’t have access to his computer, he asked me if I upload my taxes I said yes and he asked me if I have them with me and I didn’t so he gave me the Naturalization Interview Results I passed the exam but

    B) A DECISION CANNOT YET BE MADE ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION

I feel so annoyed I took off a day off from work and drove 1 hour and because their server was down a decision cannot yet be made…
