  1. Just completed interview at Newark (14th june).
My interview time was scheduled at 9:30 but there was a long line. Actual interview took place at 1:15.
I counted 3 oaths - one in the morning, one around 1:30 (right after my interview) and 3:30.
I had to wait until 3:30 - they weren't able to print out my certificate quick enough after the interview to get 1:30.

Overall glad I could complete everything same day even though the wait time took around 6hrs.

I had my interview today and I was approved! :) The interview was really easy, I brought all documents including copies and originals, but the officer only asked me for my 2-year and 10-year green cards and also any photos of my husband and I. I printed three pages, one for every of the last three years, but the officer only took the page from this year, I guess because the rest of the photos were in my case already.

There seemed to be some issues with the internet, so I took the oath right after the interview and got my certificate shortly after! We had to drive really far to the office, so taking the oath the same day, especially right after the interview was great.

Good luck to everyone ! :)

Congratulations !!! Glad this process is over for you :)

Is it a requirement to bring photos to the interview ? If I recall correctly they weren't mentioned on the application (based on 3 year marriage), just documents.

    Thank you!!!

But how did u guys have a joint account? I tried to be added since aos application and without ssn I couldn’t. Thank you again!!!

We had problem with that at chase as well. We had SSN but they wanted a bill & passport with the same last name (we changed it when we got married).

I had no problem adding my wife as authorized user on CC though. She received the same CC card with same number. Officer scanned it and asked about the statements.

    Hi!! Congratulations!

Could you describe how was your interview? The questions and how it was overall?

    Thank you!!!

It was pretty smooth - about 25 mins.
Half of the interview was essentially me putting all required documents (originals) on the desk and officer scanning everything.
At some point she asked me about bona-fide documentation.
I had everything prepared in a separate binder so I started listing everything out. At some point officer stopped me and said it's enough.

It was pretty standard stuff: bills, renter insurance, lease, bank statements (she wanted those most), health insurance cards, 401k beneficiary etc..

When we went over the documentation, she asked my wife questions straight from the application "Are you a terrorist / prostitute" etc.. and some about our relationship like "how many brothers your husband has ?".
Then she gave us some marriage advices - to never give up, take care of each other .. :)

At the end of the interview she told us we get approved and stamped the application in front of us.

  5. Hello Everyone.
We had our interview yesterday - May 21st and we got accepted ! It was K-1 based AOS.
We filed from NYC (Queens) and I must admit that we were prepared for much longer processing.

    Here are our dates:
    NOA1 - 01/17/2019
    EAD - 04/13/2019
    Interview - 05/21/2019

Status updated to "New Card is being produced"

Just wanted to wish good luck to everyone.

  6. NOA2 - 08/22/2018

Just called NVC and received both numbers (NVC & invoice).

I'm just slightly confused because when I was checking visa status on CEAC website (https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==) I had to select 'Immigrant' visa and paste my NVC number in order to get status (at NVC).
When I pick 'non-immigrant visa' & my consulate  - it prompts me with error message that number is wrong.

Anyone had something similar happen in their case ?
