I am wondering the same thing. I have spent a lot of time in the States on a B1/B2 visa, but never 6+ months at a time (I think the most was 4.5 months before I went home and came back). In total though, I have been here easily 12+ months over the past few years. Any advice would be very helpful! Thanks!

I called right now and was able to get info from the first person O_O'. She was able to tell me that we got approved and our letter is in the mail! ...still in shock

quick question: whats the difference between RFE and request for initial evidence??

but just from experience: initial evidence is usually mean they forgot something should have been in that package from the start.....but I think it really is not that different

We all make mistakes and that is how experience is obtained.  I understand exactly what you are going thru and will face.  Both my husbands did not work out and I just chalk it up as exerience.  I really dont think they were REALLY ready to be husbands, but hey thats just the way it was.  The only thing I can suggest is be prepared to be scrutinized.  Be honest with them and yourself.

Thank you everyone for sharing their stories. That gives me hope. 

This brings me some relief.  I'm a November filer, and this is 3rd and last petition!  Relationship ended after NOA2 on the first (no interview scheduled, no visa issued), second resulted in my 4 year marriage to my now ex-wife.  I have been told my circumstances shouldn't be too much of a problem but still the closer we get to our time I am getting very nervous and will feel sooooo guilty if there are issues because of my past.  Thank you for this post and good luck with the rest of your journey!!

So a week and a half ago I went to see my district congressman this is 2 weeks after terminating my lawyer's services. The representative at the congressman's office wrote a letter to CSC and submitted it the same day 2/16. He called to f/u the letter on 2/23 but was told the same b.s. we've heard a million times about the case is still being reviewed by an officer. He made another f/u call yesterday and was informed I was approved that same day. I re-read the email like 10x. Its all surreal...I thought I would be more excited and don't get me wrong I am overjoyed but this feels bittersweet. I've waited a long long time with other unfortunate souls for over 9 months for a NOA2 approval(which I haven't received the hard copy yet) so I'm afraid to be happy. I want to keep positive but this has been such a long & drawn out process. I haven't been on VJ for a while but I want to wish all those approved congratulations and those still waiting to keep on pushing. I know sometimes we feel like giving up but when one door closes kick open another. Good luck to all and have a great weekend.
