Please see attached, and yes my profile is up to date with the correct information and our country is the Dominican Republic. Is this the Packet 3 or 4.  We are confused as to what details are in each packet.

If you didn't go all the way through to reschedule then you are safe and haven't used any of your "times" to reschedule.

Yes I would very much like a copy of P3 from your country. BTW what is your country?

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

    Thanks

  2. Has anyone ever received this response from Ustraveldocs as I am trying to reschedule an appointment and I got this response.

Thank you for writing to the U.S. Visa Service Desk.

We do understand that you would like to (cancel/reschedule) your appointment however we will not be able to proceed with the (cancelling/rescheduling ) your interview appointment, since cancelling/rescheduling of appointment must be done 2 business days prior to your confirmed interview appointment, you can contact us back once the interview date has passed to schedule a new interview appointment date.

You can visit our website for more information: www.ustraveldocs.com/do.

Please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/gss_dominicanrepublic to share feedback on the services we provide.

Thanks @Greenbaum I only select reschedule appointment but never go through with rescheduling it because I am just trying to view the dates they have available. Is this still counting against me? Also would you like for me to send you the conformation/instruction email they sent to us as I know you ask others so you can add it to their country? Lol you are awesome do you work for visajourney. Thank you so much.

  4. Needing some assistance with two issues. First, packet 4, is this an automated email you receive once you have scheduled your interview and biometrics? Secondly, they only had December dates available and now there are none. We have it scheduled for December 28th but considering changing it to January but there are no available appointments for January as of yet. I sent an email and they said first come first serve, shoulor be alot until December 1st to see if January appointments come available?

Can someone remind me the trick that was used to determine if your documents are in transit, I believe it was through DHL

    Thank you!

Go to www.dhl.com click Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, and on this page you add your search information. You change the day and month to what you think your package might have left NVC or call NVC to get the date your package had left NVC in route to your Embassy then go to the DHL website and enter the following information:

    EXAMPLE:

    * Shipper´s Reference : EXP 24 MAR 2011A  (This is the date you think it left NVC, just substitute the date and leave everything else as is)

    * Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011

    * Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011

Account Number - Leave this blank

Shipment Destination: Manila (Works for any Country Just replace the city where the Embassy is located)

@Greenbaum our case is set to ready on the ceac website but we have not received notice from the embassy via email, we went ahead and scheduled for our interview which is on December 28th and the Vac for the 26th of December. We are trying to get an appointment for the medical for next week. My question for you is should we schedule the vac close to the medical exam or is it okay to do it close to the interview.  Thanks.

It will be 10 to 14 days for nvc number. On average.

Can take up to 3 weeks to be sent to embassy. Depends on when u get nvc number

once u have nvc number. "Depending on embassy" u can schedule medical and interview.

tbh @Naes be best to answer these questions for ur embassy.

Are you counting the days as to when someone gets approved? Or the opening business days for NVC?

  8. All, just want to let everyone know that it appears USCIS is moving pretty steadily now as I think they are trying to get the approvals done before the holidays so we can see our loved ones.  I sent my paperwork in last week on October 4th, and found out this morning through an email that action had been taken on our case and we got approved.  Thank you all for your posts and guidance, God speed everyone.

I thought this photo of a USCIS adjudicator's desk was interesting. I pictured maybe a handful of files at a time, it seems like quite a lot to juggle and oddly made me feel a bit better that my case wasn't just rotting in a corner alone and forgotten.

I am glad you posted this, I had an experience today that I wanted to share with all of you.  I sent in my rfe but found out that any documents that needed to be translated from the beneficiaries country will need to be translated in English.  I requested an intercept of my parcel with USPS.  I contacted the distribution center in Laguna, Ca and in talking with the representative who was to send me my parcel back they explained to me that they receive over 300 packages a day to the USCIS Immigration.  So just imagine we are only seeing a handful of people on this sight whereas there are probably 100's more going through our same situation.  This has enlightened this whole experience for me and if it takes either a month or two or even more to get my fiance here then I will wait patiently.  All we have is time on our hands.

  11. Okay I am literally sick to my stomach to find out that the request for evidence was for a typo in the application. However, the typo was caught as soon as we received our NOA1 in the mail back on February and we called and spoke to an agent to have it fixed, according to the USCIS website it was resolved on March 6th. Well to my surprise we received a request for evidence stating that we need to submit documentary evidence from the courts or official issuing authority to establish the correct name used by the beneficiary as well as the statement explaining the name discrepancy. They also request for any documents that are not in English to be translated. My question for all of you, I am sending a cover letter explaining that the typo was a mistake and the corrected spelling, with supporting documents, of his birth certificate, and a photo copy of his passport.  The birth certificate has been translated in English as well.  Do you all think this is sufficient enough evidence to get approved?

We were in the same situation too: our RFE draft was generated on

Aug 28th, it was mailed on Sept 7th (they weren’t able to see it before it was mailed). We received faxed copy on Sept 10th and we were told that we could send our response on RFE with faxed copy which we got and we did that. Maybe it depends on what do they ask for, but who knows.

We sent our response on Sept 11th, they received it on Sept 12th and status in app / old web site was changed on the same

    day.

Waiting game #2 is officially started again.

Thank you so much, this gives me a lot of hope. At least they have touched it, that makes me happy because I am seeing some people on here where their petitions  have not even been touched.  This is so sad.

  13. February filer here the 12th to be exact and needing some advice or guidance on what if anything we can do. I called and spoke with a tier 2 officer yesterday and today to receive the same answer that our petition had been placed on hold for evidence since September 5th. However, both officers were unable to see what the request for evidence was. My question for anyone is that has this happened to anyone before? What is the timeframe that USCIS has before they can send an update to the petitioner? What type of RFE's are out there? This is so nerve racking and unfair as i feel that they should have to give you an update by 7 months.

I’m feeling so defeated. I really hoped my fiancé would be here when I had the baby but of course with my luck nothing works out. I’m February 14th old site Feb 19 new site. Last week I called and they told me that I will get a response in three weeks. I called today and the lady told me maybe in another 2-6 months. I’m so frustrated I just want my family together. I don’t know what to do. Or who to reach out to.

Wow you and I are going through the exact same thing.  I had our son back in June, and thought he would be here at least by August but nope.  Keep your head up and know that you are not alone.

I was very calm until all the dates similar to ours and later then ours started getting approved. It does hurt being “probably”last ones lol and not knowing the reason either.

Perhaps all we can do is keep praying for eachother & just hoping for the best in the coming few hours 🤞 and few days.

So true. I have been strong until this point so why not keep on being stronger and praying that the approvals start to roll in for the rest of us.

Iv been literally full of anxiety today, god knows what’s happening out there and how long will we have to wait to see a change of our status on that page (🤞 approval) , it is the most depressing time. No emails/ notifications/....etc  for the past 6 months apart from the NOA1 notice. I haven’t seen my fiancée for nearly 2 years. This is really killing me. Iv never mentioned anything as such on here but now I can’t hold my emotions anymore  😭

I completely understand. I had our son and he wasn't able to be there for the birth and now my son is here and we are still waiting. My heart is breaking that our lives are in someone else's hands.
