you're right about this. Mumbai consulate has switched to online processing for the first time and I think they just missed all the EP cases. The thing is for them its just a casual error but for us it's another month of wait which seems more than eternity.

It's a very random process, I feel, more than anything they need better programmers.
I know atleast 5 cases where there were no special requests, case complete were later than mine, pd was later than mine but still they have been scheduled interviews.

Every month end, NVC schedules interviews for the cases completed in that month for interview dates in the next to next month. At least that has been the case with CR1 visas for Mumbai Consulate. But this time around, not everyone whose cases were completed in October 2018 were scheduled interviews. Lots of people are left. Is Mumbai getting too crowded? or is December a month with an expected aberration like this?

STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE INTERVIEW DATE FOR THE MUMBAI CONSULATE! I think there are a group of people being skipped over and I have no clue what to do.  Customer service at NVC is absolute trash.

I don't want to sound pessimistic but this is on basis of my research and experience over the last one year of the case complete to interview progress. 
Most likely time during which you can expect to receive interview dates is the last week of month (Usually 26th -28th of the month). This pattern was followed during the abnormal last month as well. And apparently that time of  the month is over and if my hypothesis holds true we are looking at December end now with February interview dates.
Only thing which suggests that we might get interview dates this week is that very few interviews have been scheduled till now. 

Am from Ghana and NVC completed my case on 11th August just waiting for my interview date.....  What at all is the hold up 

This sounds unfair... They should process everything in the order they receive, no?? If someone applied in January vs September of last year.... Your case should’ve been priority vs the January applicants... So sorry to hear this... I pray your case gets updated soon. 🙏

I got RFE at USCIS stage but after that as well NVC has been super slow in appointing interview date, been almost 2 months of idle time. Till last month everyone was getting interview date for the month after, without fail. I dont see anyone here with CC date before 20th Sept 2018, for mumbai Consulate. But God knows what went wrong last month that they scheduled only a handful of interviews and those too were very randomly selected.
Mumbai generally is not slow, majority of the people with CR1 filing from January 18 are already there in the states with their spouses. Its just some people are running outta luck. 

Wow... You and I filed CR1 around the same time. I guess Mumbai is slower than Chile... I filed CR1 on September 15, 2017. CC on August and interview on Novermber 16... AP after interview and still waiting. I hope you get your interview date soon... Sending some positive juju~~~ ☘️☘️👍🙏🙏🙏

So frustrated, i have seen people who have cc date 10/22 get interview date in December.  Also, the cc on my application is 10/19, not 10/26.  I am going to follow you lol, at least that way i know when you get it my date will follow.

I was told this by NVC rep on the phone also other VJers were told this as well they are scheduling until 16th of this month

LOL. I swear I though I did this at end of October. My bran lately. Please forgive me. If I was NVC all case completes would be getting interview dates in December they need to stop playing over there. LOL

Yes it is an automated system which is run by a scheduling department and the reps at NVC you talk to do not have any idea about how that system works because they're not the ones working in the scheduling departmens.
