    After the upgrade:
    1. If the case is completed > 1 week wait >  Interview will be scheduled (1-5 months).
    2. If the case is not completed > 2 months wait > Case Upgraded > Submit documents to NVC > 11 weeks wait > Case completed >  Interview will be scheduled (1-5 months).

I have the same problem, unfortunately there is nothing you or me can I do but wait. I recommend your husband to apply for USC. I guarantee with you it's gonna give a push to your case. For me, I filed F2A first, then I upgrade it after I became a USC. It's at least 6 months faster than processing with regular F2A.

Normally, most people gonna go even faster than me. I was stuck with background check before naturalization interview for more than a year. Only 10% people have extensive check like me so no worries.

Just process your case under F2A category than upgrade it later. If the naturalization process goes smoothly within a popular time frame (4-7 months), there is no differences between your F2A and CR1.

More than EAD, the Filing Date shows the cases that NVC can start processing, in March will be cases before May 2017. This means filing, sending documents and paying fees for people with approved i-130 and with current date on March's VB.
The Final Action Date for March 2016 means the Final Action taken on cases, which means that cases with dates older than March 22, 2016 are getting interviews at Consular Offices to get their F2A Visa.

For people inside the U.S., Filing Date might be used to file for Adjustment of Status, (together with EAD and AP), but that is decided on a monthly basis by USCIS if that date is approved to be used or not.

Yes, these dates can be confusing.

So chart B which shows May 17- is the chart you need to file for your EAD. So until it doesnt say june17 you cant file your EAD.
Chart A is when your PD becomes current and you will get your GC interview letter.

Your date remains being June 17, Filing Date moves cases to be allowed to be processed by NVC (or Adjust Status if within the US)

While Final Action Dates are the cases getting interviews at Consulate posts.

Also, CSC seems to not process a lot of applications until the Filing Date moves.

Thank you Tenreyro . I believe f2a catogery is priority than others .So they would process it first. hope f2a process does not exceed 2yrs (24months) timeline as it is now(earlier it was 18 months). Lets wait and see how does 2018 Q1 report looks like.

It will probably be 2 years for most of us. It should move more when the filing date moves.

The next Quarter report could enlighten more on the trend or changes in worked cases.

That's actually a very interesting chart using data provided from USCIS itself. Thanks PD3, nice work! USCIS could use people like you on their workforce.

It shows what should be one of the focus of Uscis's Ombudsman, as it clearly proves that while the number of pending cases has almost doubled, the amount of cases being worked by quarter went to a 1/4 on 2017 Q3 and 1/3 on 2017 Q4 comparing that how it was 2016 Q1,Q2,Q3,Q4 and 2017 Q1.

    It is just shameful.

During my medical they did not asked if my husband has health insurance. I got arthritis and high blood. My blood pressure was really high, I told the doctor about it and she told me to take my medicine. The doctor also told me that I can get a good treatment in  the US. My visa was approved during my interview. Don't be scared because like what JFH said

At the medical they are looking for-

    - TB
    - sexually transmitted diseases
    - mental health problems that pose a risk to the safety of yourself or others
    - drug and alcohol use

It you are concerned,  you should be seen by a doctor which is unrelated to the immigration process. This forum would not be the best place to seek medical advice. Health concerns should be addressed with licensed professionals.

Regarding Chronic conditions my husband underwent heart surgery 4 weeks before moving to the US. I talked my my employer to make sure he was added to my health insurance the day we were married and had a cardiologist appointment set up as a follow up a week later, to ensure there were no further issues post surgery. There are no issues with immigrating here with chronic conditions as long as they are not contagious.

The issue will however fall on you/your spouse once in the US to make sure you are insured/or can pay for treatments in case you are requiring treatments for your health condition.

OP, here is my experience with the medical. I had a brain hemorrhage which lead to a stroke at the age of 22. I have since had 4 TIAs, I have been left with epilepsy due to scar tissue on my brain, very poor vision, and partial paralysis on my right side. I also have some gynae issues in that I had recurrent miscarriage and a very traumatic pregnancy (my only pregnancy that got beyond 6 weeks) that resulted in emergency surgery to save my life. The baby died and I had to have some of my reproductive organs removed also. And I was approved without even a blink. There was no mention of insurance or finances during the medical. I have always worked full-time and unless anyone watched me closely they wouldn't know about the partial paralysis. But it was all declared at the medical.

If any of the above apply to you, you will have a problem.

I read of someone with advanced MS who was confined to a wheelchair who went through this process and the medical was approved. And there's no reason why it shouldn't have been.

Youre right! I'll not try to panic lol. I just hope I'll pass the exam and interview, inshaAllah! Prayers Needed! ❤ well I was asking about some real chronic illness like arthritis etc. If they find something like this (using this just as an example. ) will they still deny? If you dont know and you tick no ( ×) will they believe you or deny the visa? Just asking. I'm okay now 😍

I wouldn't even consider it a category. If it asks about genitourinary disorder (پیشاب کے نظام کی خرابی)  you could maybe list it, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.
If they find a disease that could be communicated to the general public - like TB - which I am sure you would have signs of before now - then maybe they would request you complete treatment for the sake of you and others.

Making yourself worry will not help - being anxious can cause your blood pressure to be high and your heart rate to be high. Just try to be calm - you're almost done.

As a nurse, I can tell you, a cystocele is very very common. Even more so after childbirth - they won't do a pelvic on you and I would hardly consider it to be a "chronic disease" -- its inconvenient for you, but even in a worse case scenario, a minor surgery would fix it.

Hi I have a non contagious auto immune disease. My spouse wasn't working and didn't have health insurance. The Dr at the medical exam recommended that I keep seeing a specialist in the US. I got my visa approved.

When I came here I took a job which provided health insurance. I did get sick however due to lack of treatment (I took 3 month worth of meds with me but it wasn't the kind of med I needed).

I suggest to get your depression under control. I started taking meds for it while in the US. I never had it treated in my birth country. I'm doing a lot better now.

How will you handle the insurance situation? Will you get a job and insurance yourself or will your spouse take care of this? Moving to a different country is stressful on your body and it might make you sicker. Better plan ahead for these things. I wish you all the best.

Last CSC update personally I heard about was from November 7th, 2016. It was approved this week. Trust me, I filed in December 2016, and still waiting.

I hope you can find the patience to overcome the distance.
