We just went through this process in Egypt and we used the K-1 visa approach. This was recommended by our lawyer as it is quicker and for our situation better as I wanted to get married in the US. Hope this helps. We are thankfully enjoying our lives together now. 😊

As long as everything goes smoothly today, I get to see my Matt tonight! I'm so excited, but trying to stay focused on other things (like my actual job) since there isn't anything I can do except wait until 11pm!
His flight path is MAN > KEF > PHL > MCI

Fiance picked up his passport today, flying to Los Angeles on Wednesday. I can't believe we are done with this journey.
AOS process is going to be a lot easier since we will be together, but I am sure I am going to drive him crazy with this too.

Just an update from your favourite Canadian fox who is very happy to report that I picked up my passport and visa envelope this morning! It feels very surreal that it's all happening finally, and I wish all the best for everyone who is still waiting Now it's time to buy a one-way plane ticket! Thanks so much for all the help and support along the way, and see you in the AOS forum in a few months' time!

My fiance just left his interview, after waiting 3 hours for a 5 minute interview, he was approved!

Hey guys,
totally failed to share experience since I was so excited 🙈
I got my NVC number on Aug 17, did my medical on Aug 29 and picked them up on 30th. The docs were sent off to the embassy on Sep 4th and my CEAC status was “Ready” on the 7th. Scheduled my interview right away for Sep 11th and had visa in hands on 13th!!! Took me 6 days in total from docs arriving.
flying out on Wednesday! Thanks to all the support and advice from got on this forum, wouldn’t have been the same without you guys ❤️

@Greenbaum thank you as always for the excellent response. My fiance started her TB treatment this week. We are glad we caught this now and are getting her all better. Luckily rest of family tested negative.
