Fiancee did the interview this morning and got approved. They only asked two questions apparently and she was out twenty minutes after her arrival. Such a relief
 
VJ has been a great resource for us to lean on, it actually saved us lawyer money lol. I want to thank the founder, the members and especially the folks who contribute and help others around. You're the real MVPs (Kevin Durant voice lol)

My fiance gave his interview today at 10am (it was 3am my time so I didn't get any sleep lol) and he was approved!!!!! His appointment came last, so it was about a 2 hour wait. His interview lasted only 10 minutes. The lady officer was very nice, she asked lots of questions but they were easy and he said everything went smoothly. MAKE SURE you reference the checklist given here on the portal for your specific embassy and ask others who have gone through the process. There were some documents that the embassy required which were not listed in the packet we were emailed! For our case, it was a copy of the passport and the email confirmation of the interview which looks like this:
Dear Sir:
We received your approved fiancé visa case.  Please find attached the required documents.
This was not mentioned anywhere on the embassy website either.

Here is what I decided to go with for Page 4, Part 3, Item 38 additional information:
 
The person named in part 2 is a K-1 visa applicant. I intend to receive, maintain, and support that person in full for the entire duration of her stay in the United States. The specific contributions include, but not limited to, room and board, money for food, apparel, personal care, transportation, entertainment, and any necessary medical expenses.
 
Probably completely extraneous, but I wanted to leave nothing to chance.
 
I wanted to add, "I intend to cover any puddles she has to walk over with expensive fur coats." But I run out of space.
 
Also, I can see my fiancee sticking her manicured nail into the form, a few years down the road, and yelling: "You promised money for entertainment. Pay up now, lazy bones!" LOL

Can you try the Chinese embassy in London and see if they can notarize? If they cant, don't stress, you will be fine with what you have.

Medical done this morning, she said it was easy breezy (she was nervous wreck 🤣) Hopefully they will send the medical report by next Friday for our interview the following Monday. Fingers crossed.

Had mine this morning also, was very easy and very quick even though it was very busy. Heres to hoping for a speedy turn around.

I took my I-485 NOA and a copy of my marriage certificate to the county and they reinstated my wife's drivers permit.
This was in Minnesota.

Finally got a case #! Guess I was panicking over nothing 😊

We were able to book medical for November 15th and interview November 16th
we r aware that medical has more then a 1 day turn around😂😂.
it save a extra trip down to London from Sheffield tho.
Figure we may have visa in hand first week of December. But, not worried if we don't as we r planning late January POE.

Interview booked for 28th November!  ! nervous, excited

I just looked at the open interview date and saw 10/28, so our interview is rescheduled.

Update: Interview booked for November 14th (21st & 27th were other open dates for November).

I think maybe the Readiness form was finally deemed useless. It used to be in place on a paper form mailed in, then an online form submission when the embassy picked an interview date and mailed out the appointment. It let them know you had gathered all the documents and were ready with everything needed in hand so they could call you for interview. Now that you select your own date, they just have to trust that you will be ready when you get there. People filled out the Readiness form before when they didn't have things but hoped to have soon, so what's the point really? Just an extra step/form that has no way to be checked for truthfulness.
