    Perfect, thank you!

I've gotten to the end and it's 95% likely it's going to cost me a new laptop. So the photo crop doesn't work on chrome, then on Edge and selecting save on the cropped photo it just saves it as a "File" which I then can only open in paint and isn't cropped.

I also was unable to upload a photo - my laptop almost went out of the window. I just went along with my 2 US style passport photos and was absolutely fine.  Good luck!!

    3. Can I assume that I as the alien don't need to take any evidence of my own  income/meagre savings along to the interview in the form of a bank statement or my own British tax returns? Given that I am supposed to be the one being sponsored, and will not be able to work for a while until my EAD?  Or would they like to see that they at least have a little bit in the bank to get me through this period of unemployment, even if it's only a few thousand pounds?

You definitely do not need any of your own finanical information - the whole point is your US petitioner (and the co sponsors) will support you financially until you can work. So dont worry about getting additional documents together that you don't need :)

This could just be another case of "different department websites think the process happens in different ways...." but I just had my K1 medical in London today so scheduled my embassy interview for next week, 7 working days from today. It took my money and gave me a choice of appointment dates/times, but then after booking my interview it said something about bringing the letter I had from the consulate telling me what date my interview should be....?

Is this an outdated piece of info perhaps left over from a time when they'd tell you when to come for your interview? All I've had is the email from the NVC saying they'd forwarded my application to the embassy and giving me a case number with which I scheduled my medical (and now interview appointment).

Did I jump the gun on this or will it be fine to just take my printout of that email?

EDIT: I just checked my DS-160 status on a link on the appointment schedule site and it said my status was 'READY' for appointment, so I assume this supercedes not receiving anything by way of a physical paper letter through my letterbox and I can just rock up with all my forms.........??

Hi again. When you book your interview you'll get an email that starts with this:

"You have successfully scheduled your appointment and paid the K Visa application fee. Here are the details of your transaction.

You must print this instruction page and bring it with you to your consular interview, along with the letter or email you received from the Consular Section."

Followed by your personal info/interview time date etc. All you need is a printout of this email, I'm not sure if they send anything by post (if they do i certainly never got it). If you want me to tell you a full list of everything i took to interview just drop me a message

So I'm assuming if they (conditionally, I guess) grant your visa at the interview but don't have your medical results on hand, then if they're happy with them when they arrive they just send the visa in your passport/with the packet that you pick up from the courier centre?

Yeah - I was technically refused and handed a 221G because the medical results were missing. They told me everything else was fine though and they had everything else they needed. As soon as the results are recieved by the embassy they'll pull the file out again and aslong as nothing else is outstanding (which theyd advise you of at the interview) they'll just issue your visa as normal. :)

So your interview was Dec 17. On what date did your visa get delivered?  Typically it would be one week after interview. How long did yours take with the 221g.

Hi. Yes my interview was 17th Dec. I got confirmation from the embassy that they recieved my medical results on the 28th of December. I'm yet to have my visa in hand, the ceac tracker only changed to Issued today (8th Jan)

I keep reading different instructions/outdated information on various government department sites (NVC, USCIS, UK Embassy etc) about the K1 process so I'm a bit confused which one to follow.....

We've received NOA2 and now also our LND case number via email but not yet by physical letter. I've scheduled my medical for tomorrow (Weds 9th) and started scheduling my K1 appointment but decided to hold off after reading another page on the SAME embassy site that suggested waiting til after the medical to schedule the embassy interview....!

Anyway, with all this conflicting info flying about, how long did you guys wait between getting your case number and scheduling your interview? Should I just leave the prerequisite number of days for the medical to get couriered to the embassy? Some places say that's 5 days, others say 10... Or should I just assume it'll be there in, say, 3 weeks and schedule it now?! So many options. I guess it doesn't really matter but just don't want to fall afoul of the process....

Hi. I recently had my medical at Knightsbridge/interview at the embassy. This is what I did. I scheduled my medical as soon as I'd got confirmation of my LND number. Then once my application was showing as 'ready' on the CEAC tracker I went ahead and booked the interview. I decided to leave 2 weeks between the medical and interview. This turned out not to matter as there was a major delay getting my results to the embassy so on the day of my interview my medical wasnt there. Don't worry about that though, you can still go ahead and have your interview as normal without the medical results if it comes to that. It'll just cause a slight delay in the issuing of the visa. Good luck with everything :)

They didn't say anything relevant. Just "Alright you'll hear back in 7-10 working days Thank you." My fiance actually took three steps, and then it actually sunk in that there was a refusal on the paper. It sucks that I wasn't there (Or maybe it was a good thing) because I'm that annoying person that's immediately "Nu uh" and asking a billion questions.

I checked my status today (and yesterday, a million times) and noticed someone touched the case today, so they're looking at it. At around the 8-9 day mark if we don't hear anything I'll call.

Yeah I'm the same, i did actually ask a bunch of questions despite the fact the officer told me it was due to my medical. I was freaking out immediately at the blue form being given to me.

I also forgot to mention before that my fiance is also an engineer so hopefully it's unlikely they're doing further checks due to your fiances line of work. Well, it's good they touched the case today, fingers crossed it switches to issued in the next few days!

I'm sure it will be. I'd just feel a whole lot better if in our case they told us why. We know the medical arrived there because the first guy was holding the CD. We know we provided the Subject Access Request/Report explaining the No Live Trace already for them to persue. So all I can think of is either they want a full background check for the aviation related contract work he's done, they want to know more about him moving as a military dependent as a child (His father was deployed in Germany with the RAF a few times and he spent 3 year stints there all before age 16) or if they just want to see the report straight from ACRO because ours wasn't signed or certified or anything :\.

No real way of knowing, Just godda wait. Did they keep your passport?

Yeah, the not knowing why must be torture. What exactly did they say when they handed the 221g over? I wonder if it's something to do with him living abroad for more than a year and theyre doing further checks on that? I just say that cos both officers asked me if I'd lived abroad for more than a year, so it's just a guess. They kept my passport, yeah.

On my profile it shows how little questions I was asked! I remember the anxiety leading upto my interview! You will fly through! London is an amazing Embassy to be interviewed at! Enjoy ALL of the UK whilst you have chance. I've been here 2 months and I'd give anything to give a whole dedicated week of soaking up the United Kingdom ❤️

Good advice! Once I've got my interview out of the way I'm just gonna relax and enjoy Christmas with my family before I move. I hope you're settling into the US! 😊

    Hi there!

I want to first off tell you I interviewed in London 3 months ago! I remember having a freak out with the DS-160. My issue was that I couldn't count (as I'm rubbish at maths) of how many trips I made to the EU! If it wasnt for @Wuozopokeeping me sane over that (me questioning my inaccurate counting of holidays) and their comment of getting the 'red pen out' I'd have lost my mind. I know he will confirm to you also, you have NOTHING to worry about. London is great, marvelous and you will have NO issues!! Update us when you get your approval!! ❤️

Thank you soo much!! This has made me feel better 😊😊

  11. Hi, can anyone help with this or had the same experience-

I've completed the DS160 and booked my appointment (it's in 3 days). I realised a few days ago that I forgot to list a country I've visited in the last 5 years (the country is Denmark). Should i mention this at my interview? I'm really worried it's going to cause delays because I've missed information off the form.

I'm already majorly stressed because Knightsbridge have requested further information from my GP (mental health) and over a week has passed and my surgery is messing me about, not returning my calls and giving me no indication as to when they'll provide what's needed.

    Really grateful for any advice!

  12. Hey everyone I've not been on the forum for ages cos everytime i tried to access the site on my phone the browser redirected me to some weird virus looking type website so i just gave up. It seems to be working so far today though..

    ANYWAY

Hope everyone is well and you all either have your visas in hand or are almost there. @BJ & Christine I see from a couple posts above your fiance has hers now, congrats!!! Remember when we were miserable and waiting for noa2? 😂

Anyone still waiting for their medical at Knightsbridge, I had mine yesterday, it was fine apart from I need to get a further letter from my GP due to having mental health issues on my medical records. A fly in the ointment so it's annoyed me a bit but what can you do!

My interview is on the 17th Dec, getting really nervous now/excited.

    😁

  13. Hi all, not been on here for a while as kept getting a weird virus type popup thing every time I tried to look at the forum. Anyway seems to be working now after going in incognito mode - #######. Latest news is our case is currently "in transit" on the ceac tracker and has been that way for 2 weeks now. I'm wanting to schedule my medical for early December, have rung this morning but they don't have appointments that far ahead yet so will try again end of next week. Still in the US right now as decided to stay longer than the week I'd originally planned. Will return for my medical and interview and have Christmas with my parents before the big move. Hope everyone is well 😊

Cleaning customs in Dublin was great! I flew Aer Lingus (LHR-DBL then Bradley)

let me know what the flight was like into New York, (white plains?) because as great as doing customs in Dublin was, the plane was old, the food was awful as was the  service. Was like flying a budget airline. Would like it if your experience was better! Hope you have an amazing trip.

My flight was the same as yours, it was a Norweigan flight to Stewart airport (Hudson Valley NY) and I booked it because it was super cheap (like £190 return before i added extra baggage on) but yeah it was a budget flight, small older plane, no food provided and no entertainment on board - I've flown with them a couple of times via Dublin before to take advantage of the dirt cheap prices so luckily I knew what I was in for but it is a shock the first time you fly long haul if you've been with Virgin and expect the movies, food etc 😂

Thank you! 😊 When I arrived I'd been awake for 20 hours cos i didn't manage to sleep a wink on the flight so i got here, ate a burrito and passed out!!
