Hi guys, I have an update

I just recieved an email from NVC saying they've recieved our case and confirming our LDN case number. So we can go ahead and book the medical and interview!

I filled out the Ask NVC online form out 4 or 5 days ago and got this response today

    😄

Actually just got ahead of myself there. Meant to say book the medical, and then the interview when the embassy have recieved our case, obviously 😂

Our NOA2 came through in the post today! No email no site update. Our RFE has taken 17 days from when USCIS received our response. Surely it’s a sign for everyone else!!! 😍😍😍😍😍

I actually have no words to describe how I feel right now. Been a long road but now it’s finally moving 😊

Everyone that is patiently waiting, hang in there, your time will come xxxx

    Congratulations! 😄

Hello our NOA2 is sept 5th - called the NVC they state they have not received it yet.

I am assuming it will be sometime in the next two to three weeks and we will get our case #.

Can I go ahead and book medical ? Or should I wait till I get the case # even though it should be soon?

Looks like earliest medical appointments are late October.

    Thanks

    Hi

You need the NVC case # before you can book the medical

    Thankyou!

I thought so but wanted to get conformation. Just called and booked medical earliest they had was 19th October. Just some information about how long the wait is for y'all.

Brill, Ive been waiting for a UK filer to book the medical appointment cos I wanted to know what the wait time looks like. I'm wanting to book mine for early December so as soon as I get my NVC number I'll get it booked

I got nervous most when i just went even though I've been many times, i think it's because its the last time we travel before our one way ticket. I honestly was so nervous i burst into tears when I got through to arrivals hall.

I had alot of bags with me too, which made me feel suspicious, even though I was doing nothing illegal! You'll be fine, they just asked me how long I was staying for.

I think that's what it is - it'll be my last visit before the big move so it just feels different somehow even though itll just be the exact same experience at immigration as my last visits. One good thing though is I'm going through preclearance at Dublin so after that i can just get on the plane and relax then just get my bags and go when we land!

    Couple Questions

#1 had anyone received their case number from NVC yet? How long was the wait?

#2 has anyone been or is going to visit their US fiancé recently? Was it very stressful at immigration? Suggest anything to bring?

Sorry I don't have the answer to either of these but just wanted to say I'm visiting on Saturday and I'm SO nervous! I've travelled twice since filing k1 with no problems but i don't know what's making me so nervous this time! 😭

Hang in there! I can totally relate to the stress this whole process is eliciting. Something that has worked for my fiance and I is being conscious about how much we discuss the visa in our conversations -- easier said than done, I know, but it helps to just focus on what you're grateful for and think about the little things that made you smile everyday. Otherwise, "The Visa" tends to overpower all our conversations. I'm crossing my fingers for this week, too! We can do this!

I totally relate to this, a few days before we got approved I realised that the visa application was all I talked about anymore so I made a conscious effort to not talk about it for at least a week. My fiance is very relaxed about the whole process so it was me constantly talking/worrying about it, not him. It just so happened a couple of days after I vowed to not talk about it we got approved anyway. But in the couple of days I decided to just drop it I realised we'd not really spoken 'properly' for a while and it was so nice to talk about other stuff and it actually relaxed me so much. Its really easy to let this whole thing take over before you've even realised it

Atleast you know you had an RFE and are just waiting, Imagine some of us who have no idea about a thing 😢

Hi June, I know it's awful not hearing any news at all but hope this brings you comfort - I didn't hear a peep until I refreshed the old site on my 204th day and saw the approval. I checked your timeline and see today is your 204th day. So you could hear anything, anytime now 😊🤞

Celebrations are definitely in order and same for you guys also, I am sure!

He is only able to come for 6 days because of work but its six days better than no days.

I can't wait to book my medical, it's so silly but I feel like that is the point where it will become real.

We are going to start calling around the 24th probably.

Absolutely, I just have a nice relaxed feeling now cos it feels like I've got over the major hump, I know there's still  a bit to go until visa is in hand but hopefully it'll be way less stressful!

Are you gonna go ahead and book your medical as soon as you have your nvc case number?

I am in Nottinghamshire. How about you?

Bet you can't wait to see your fiance! Mine is coming here in just over two weeks and I can't wait to see him.

I think we will do the same and call NVC when he is here. is it the Petitioner or beneficiary who needs to call NVC?

    I'm in South Yorkshire 😊

I'm very excited for this visit! How long is your fiance visiting you for? It's going to be so great now the long wait for noa2 is over with, it's taken such a load off. I just peeked at your timeline and youve had to wait so long for your approval, I bet celebrations will be in order for you guys!

I think someone else has answered this now but I think either can call. I might give it a shot!

    Hi everyone,

We just got approved yesterday after 259 days!!

So now it is my turn to do the necessary processes in the UK.

Anyone know how long it is currently taking for cases to go from California to London (to get the LDN case number and start booking things). I have everything together, when should I expect to start trying to book medical etc?

So happy to finally be in this group. :)

👋👋 where in the UK are you? I'm visiting my fiance in 2 weeks time so patiently waiting until then until we attempt our first call to NVC! 😊

Haven’t been able to catch up with the thread - congratulations to all that have been approved!!!! 🙌🏻 @Eleanor & Jack just seen yours - congratulations!!!!!

So happy to see that our status finally updated to RFE mailed on the app/old site. So much better than being in the unknown. Good luck to all still waiting. ❤️

Thank you!! I'm glad your RFE is on it's way to you, just a little longer until NOA2 now - hoping they process your RFE super fast!! (And @BJ & Christine too) 😄

Oh wow! Did the hard copy have a new number on it different from the USCIS receipt number? I called NVC today because I’m so anxious (even though We were just approved sept. 4 haha) and she said it takes 6 weeks for the USCIS file to get transferred!

I'm not sure actually, I'll ask fiance to have a look today 😊 but as far as I know it should just still have the same WAC number which you'll give to NVC when you call

I think they usually give worse case scenario when you call so try not to get too anxious. I'm visiting my fiance in 2 weeks so we're gonna leave it until then to call NVC so it'll have been almost 3 weeks from our approval. Hopefully they'll have received our case by then and maybe even assigned us our case number 😊🤞
