I just want to share it with you guys that our case now arrived at the embassy here in my country. I’m so nervous because I will have to go back in SLEC for my personal evaluation on May 31. I hope that there’s no any problem/s anymore with my medical so that I can get my immunization on the same day. My interview with the embassy is scheduled June 1.

Just an update. I have called the CFO today and I was told that there’s a small possibility to ask for the parental advice letter since my fiancée is also a Filipino.

Yes you could use that letter exactly as is, have it signed and notarized . that document is from Quezon City, and is about the same as all others I have seen
OK got it. Thank you.

The attorney that will notarize the document will probably want to type up his own ... they usually do Talk to him about this.
So basically I can fill out the said sample letter that you have attached and bring it to the attorney to have it notarized right? I’m so if I have alot of inquiries, I’m just so confused with this. Or should I just go the attorney and ask to create a parent advice letter?

It needs to be a notarized document, use this as your template for the document

Should I remOve the signatatories for my mother and legal guardian?

For CFO. Get your father's signature. If CFO asks about the mother signature, explain as you did here.
Your grandmother is not a legal guardian is she? If no, you don't need her signature,
Got it. Should I create a simple letter or does it needs to be like a sworn legal letter?
No, she’s not my legal guardian because there’s no legal documents. But she’s the one who took care of me since 3 years old.

Hi. I need help regarding my situation. I am 23 and it says that I need to get a Parental Advice that I am getting married and travel in the US.
However, I grew up with my grandmother side and I didn’t have the chance to meet my mother since 3 years old. On the other hand, I have communications with my father.
Should I ask my father and grandmother to sign the parental advice on a different letter?
Please help. Thank you in advance.

it won’t proceed when i click no so i clicked yes instead and continue. now i have an appointment, should i worry or not since that i scheduled it a week after my interview, coz i was thinking maybe ill have the visa by then
I am not sure why you can’t proceed when you click no.
@Greenbaum your thoughts on this?

before you get to proceed, one of the question is if you have an immigrant visa. you’ll have to click yes otherwise it wont continue so i click yes instead. i guess i should just schedule it on the day when i think i’ll be having my visa on hand right?
You have to click no if you don’t have it. I was able to schedule mine without visa yet.
8 hours ago, BnK said:from previous threads they say that u may schedule an appointment and attend it without the visa but they will not give you that sticker something. You would have to come back with your visa on your passport.
Thank you for the heads up. This is something new to me. We could probably ask @Greenbaum

but requirements includes an original valid visa.
I know that it’s confusing but with or without visa you can schedule an appointment.

best time to do the CFO would be when? after we have the visa already?
From what I have researched, you can attend the CFO with or without visa.
I have scheduled mine on May 30 and my interview will be on June 1.

Anyone here who are also scheduled their appointment for CFO? (Philippines) Please send me a private message. Thankyou.

@Louize Our question was what documents did they require you to bring on the second day when you're due for immunization. Is your passport and receipt enough or do they need other things like ds160 confirmation?
I am not yet done with my immunization. I need to do some evaluation on May 31

I heard that they are asking for a copy of the DS-160 confirmation but I haven't been able to confirm that. Can you post if that is true or not? Thanks.
Here are the requirements needed in SLEC.

That’s the same line I’ve heard from them since last week. Just hang on and soon your case will be in transit.

Guys you are awesome..
you made a weird day way better...
So today was my last day at the office. (Yayyy)
I gave cookies to everyone and said goodbye with instead of goodbye everyone just said congratulations.
Then I got my medical (they gave me a copy) all clear! Which is basically a fancy letter saying do not have STDs, did not use drugs and not involved in gangs...Also she looks normal (no seriously there is a whole section about if I look normal!)
Then came home, got my REAL packet 3 TODAY!!
Thank to all those Gods involved (from whichever religion as I respect all but don't pursue any, but yeah with all of us here somebody should be on the right track!) that we decided to call on Monday, cause they sent me my packet 3, as an out of ordinary kindness on Tuesday by email. I am so grateful for whoever CO in the office decided not to write me off and was ok with the extraordinary circumstances.
I will have everything I can give them tomorrow. And all I can do is wish that it will be ok.
(Note that my problem is not related to my relationship, affidavit, criminal or any of those sorts. it is unique and is mostly caused because I am in another country at the moment because I can't go to get some of the things I wish I had which they may not even ask for actually - so no worries on your cases just because I feel a little pessimistic)
hard worker is a nice word for me I call it simply control freak
GOod luck on your interview
