Had my interview yesterday, I was so anxious and nervous but all the built up tension from this whole process turned into an extreme burst of relief as soon as the officer said it's been approved and I should receive my passport soon.
I also got to take a week off from work and go on a little vacation to Rio for the medical and interview so overall it was a great week. I'm ready and refreshed to go back to real life after getting this immigration weight off my shoulders.
Now on to finish packing everything and looking for tickets!

Can I submit my DS-160, pay the fees and schedule an interview before the case gets to the consulate or should I wait until it says Ready? My case has been At NVC for a while now.

Hi Brazilian! I am also Brazilian and now living the J-1 Waiver drama. Would you, please, help me with these questions??
Were you in Brazil during this process?
Did the Brazilian Consulate sent the non-objection letter via e-mail or by mailing it? They sent mine via e-mail to the DoS but that sounds weird because it is written on the Third Party Barcode Page that they should mail it...
Hey!
Yeah, I was in Brazil during the whole process. The embassy sent the No Objection Statement directly to the Department of State but they also sent me a copy via email, so that's probably why you got it.
Hope you get rid of this drama soon.

you may be putting into the Non-Immigrant option, Try using the Immigrant option. Happened to me until I realized
I tried both actually. I tried replacing the last 3 numbers to 001 (that means the first case of the day) and it doesn't work either, I guess they haven't added the cases from yesterday to the website yet.

I can't believe this is finally happening. I'm so grateful for all the support we gave and received to keep each other sane during this torture.
Even though I rarely post anything and we're all complete strangers, I feel connected to each and every one of you and that we're all in this together. I wish all the happiness in the world to us and long live to our relationships. No government bureaucracy or anti-immigration agenda is going to keep two people who are willing to wait half a year just to be together from doing anything they can to be with each other. Love can move mountains and we have seen it ourselves.
We've made it this far, the worst has already passed and we can already see the finish line. Let's take a breath and cry a little if we need to, it's time to relax a little and know that our time has come.
Thanks @Naes and @Daniel P for your voluntary work, you make this wait a lot less hellish and you are of great value to this community.

The only way I see is to add it to my account but I don't really want to have a bunch of strangers cases tied to my account.

Finally got a favorable recommendation yesterday

My ex-husband's grounds for in admissibility was fraud... don't remember what the exact code they gave was but it derived from consulate officer saying he admitted to working in the United States while here on a visitor's visa (B1/B2).
Isn't illegal work forgiven for K-1 applicants and marriage-based AOS though?

Someone please help me here. I think the fact that I did so much work in the past (2012-2013) all on my own as left my brain fried or just have me feeling less motivated with doing research etc:
-Visa denied at consulate file I-601 waiver (all Lawyers said I couldn't get approved for this)
-Filed I-601 waiver on my own and requested expedite so fiancé could attend my graduation
-Both expedite and I-601 waiver approved (USCIS not so bad afterall lol)
-Got married and filled I-485 and I-131 (I-131 approved and we traveled to his brother's wedding)
-USCIS REQUESTED A SECOND I-601 WAIVER BE FILED SAYING I DIDN'T QUALIFY THE 1ST TIME and new medical (financial nightmare and stress to now gather documents again for waiver)
-I filed I-601 waiver a second time and it was approved.... green card issued
My question is: What is the income requirement for me and my fiancé? is it $20,575 for a household size of 2? I think I read on here that I'll of to provide 3 years tax return so would all 3 years of to meet the requirement? What exactly do they need to see at the interview (paystubs, W2, tax return, bank statements)?
Sorry if someone already answered and I missed it.
Would you mind sharing what was your ground of inadmissibility? I know that it can be a sensitive topic for some people so no worries if you aren't comfortable with that.

Right? It feels like September has been dragging out for so long and I can't tell if it really has or if it's because of the anxiety of being next in line.

Oh guys, I wish I could be somewhere in the beginning of October NOA1...we`ve sent our docs in the middle of September and waited for USCIS to receive our envelope for over a month Some magical way it took them so long...Anyone of you had similar situation?
Kind of. We filed all the paperwork in June but the attorney held onto it for for three months and it only got sent in October.

It's been 44 days for me and I haven't even gotten a recommendation, which sucks when I see many people getting their recommendations in 15 days or so.

I know it doesn't mean anything but there's only 30 days until the estimated processing on my timeline.
We're so close!

Hi everyone, i am glad to have found this forum that we can all share our journey in this community. We applied for our K1 Visa on Oct 24 2017, we did receive the NOA 1 letter for Oct 26 2017. Hopefully all goes well and we should get our NOA2 letter soon. Its almost 4 months since we applied. Any October filers received their NOA2 letters yet??
They're still processing cases from July/August (although there are some May and June filers still waiting), should take a couple more months for them to start processing October.

I was going through the instructions for the K1 visa on my embassy's website and found this:
QuoteUntil you receive your green card your ADIT stamp is your proof of legal residency in the United States and you can immediately live, work and study in the U.S.
Does that mean we're allowed to work before we get the actual EAD?

It is not about being interested or not. But These numbers belong to people and we don't know everyone of them. So thinking their privacy I don't believe it is advisable.
I had had a similar request before but I believe this is why uscis website and apps exist for and this shouldn't be an info too much out there.
also I really would like this to be over before we can even get to that and not a regular occurance in anyone's lives.
There’s no need to publish the numbers. It’s just a nice and convenient way to generate reports, which we’ve been doing already.
Regardless, you’ve been doing a great job for this community and I think everyone appreciates having you here, keep up with the positivity and good work.

@JSCGPV @Naes Would you guys be interested on working together to create a website that automatically runs scans every day at a set time (or even twice a day like you’ve been doing) and generates all kinds of reports and charts for different months? I have the knowledge on software engineering and web development but I’m not a statistics guy, I’d love to work on that.

in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

It was pretty straightforward. I was interviewed by a nice lady, she just asked a couple basic questions like when and where we met and what were our plans to get married.
She did however ask a trick question. She implied that my fiancé has been to Brazil and asked when was the last time he's been here. My fiancé has never been to Brazil.
After that she just asked when was the last time we saw each other and said that it was approved.
