I dont care for the whole story what else do I need to know other then the fact she cant speak english like so many years here . It shows me no integration or assimilation has occured . 
It shocked me and confirmed me what I see in my daily life here so it doesent matter what you think .

When I went to a citizenship ceremony last year there was a lady getting naturalized and the jusge wanted everyone of the new citizens to say something about there story . Well 50 year old lady after like 30 years in the USA couldnt speak a word of english and had her daughters translate for her . I mean seriously I was so amazed that they let this women pass but USCIS Tucson is known for its extreme easy going attitude at interviews so it doesent suprise me . All the staff are hispanic so probably just had the interview in spanish. At least she will know who her president is. 
 
Even the judge was uncomfortable and at the end said speaking english is one of the principal things of integrating sucessfully in this country .

Yes its there fault , no americans dont make fun of people that dont speak the language or speak it poorly I KNOW from experience . They do hate it however if you dont even try . 
 
Dont give me this “we need to increase english language courses give them this give them that” Basically make them get used to the hand out mentality . Everything served to you on a silver plater . You go get a English for dummies book study and watch youtube and netflix with subtitles thats how I learned Italian and English.
Then you go out and speak and not stay in your enclaves where its nice and comfy . 
 
English is extremely easy to learn in general so there is no excuse . Go move to Mexico and see how you can live there 20 years no English . There government forms , social security office , passport applications etc are not written in English and Suhaeli and god knows what .

Just makes me know on what kind of level of knowledge about the world you are on and the amout you have actually travelled to a third world country . Most likely ZERO visited.

I strongly believe that all immigration (besides spouse) should be 100% merit based in order to ensure success. I'm talking basic education (reading and writing), English language skills (because the chances of someone who does not speak English at all, or doesn't speak it to a reasonable level getting a good job and not being taken advantage of in the workplace are pretty slim), evidence of skills training and/or higher education, demonstrable work history in a field which is required in the US, etc etc etc.   Many western countries (Australia, Italy, Germany just to name ones that I know of personally) require people applying for citizenship and sometimes even LPR to show a basic ability to speak the local language. To me, it's a no-brainer - how can anyone expect to be successful in a country where they don't speak the language and can't communicate easily on a daily basis?
 
At the moment the ability to sponsor family members is very much weighing things unfairly towards "who you know" - if you're a person who doesn't meet any basic criteria except that you have a direct family member in the US who makes enough money to sponsor you, you're gonna have a bad time (As a working-age individual, anyhow - totally different story for minor children and/or aged parents).  But what about the person next door who has vital skills but can't otherwise immigrate (because all the work-sponsored visas are actually quite difficult to get approved) because they aren't related to a USC?   Admittedly a lot of this even going back multiple generations, has a lot to do with luck but personally I'd love to see the removal of the automatic benefit/privilege for those related to (relatively more) wealthy USC's.  
 
The one point I do disagree is about poverty.   I have known several people who have stated explicitly that living in Poverty in a "First World"/Western country is a hell of a lot better than living in poverty in a "Third World" country.

Interesting read you know the majority of european countries had a rough ride the last 60-70 years. I know that very well growing up in Germany. The economy has only really taken of in the beginning of the 2000s before that it was way different and well going back 30-40 years everyone knows what was going on there. But look where it is today 
I was referring to mostly what the situation is right now. Yes there were lots of germans and british and scandinavian immigrating here in fact the decedents of those immigrants founded this country and wrote its constitution. 

Also yes you have the official numbers of immigrants but the illegal population especially for Haitians is WAAAY more . 1/3 of El Salvador population lives in the USA. I am sure they did not come here through legal channels so most are not counted in to the statistics you are referring too .
 
And the comparison between Haiti and Norway coming here on EB-based visas. Look I dont care about them coming in here through merit I said that plenty of times but the reason there are a a little more from Haiti although its so marginal I mean what is a few hundred people lol is because Norway is far superior like you said .

You cant compare such a homogenous societies welfare system also taxed at about 50 percent on every dollar you make with a low tax country like the USA where you have so many new people coming in every year. I wish that was the case for the past eight years.  Of course in that case if you disliked the president you were labeled something else by the MDL and their biased media buddies.  However, I disagree, the hatred for Trump ramped up significantly when he ran as a GOP candidate and actually had the audacity to win.  We all know how much the DNC will do to stay in power, so they needed to start a campaign of hatred.  Personally, I am not nor have I ever been a big fan of Trumps, but I sure don't mind his politics.

I think the corruption in CA and SA stems from the socialist revolutions that occurred in many of the countries down there.  Most folks understand how socialism corrupts.

But oddly enough we have moved away from 3rd world status in almost every category since was elected. The MDL keeps telling us how bad the country is since Trump was elected,  but never any examples 

FAMILY REUNIFICATION HAHA ! You know what I call family reunification, American Airlines, you go and VISIT your family . Not move your whole village over that has no merit or reason to be here other then being part of a CHAIN. Its a really good word for it actually its like a chain, and just sponsoring your siblings is not the end of that chain. Once they are citizens including the spouse that has joined that sibling for example who had nothing to do with the anchor immigrant in the first place technically that spouse can eventually sponsor the parents. Its so crazy when you think about it . So no the family reunification is a very inaccurate word for it. Chain migration is a word that explains most of the issue also at the same time and a  lot of people will grasp the core concept quickly . Family reunification sounds like something I heard in germany when families where separated by the wall and then finally got reunified after the wall came down . 
 
@smilesammich I know all the lefties including you are so obsessed about the norway comment but if you think about the proposal really quick or just look it up ( Trumps immigration plan ) you will quickly realize he didnt carve like a special law for norwegians brining over there parents in terms of chain migration . No everyone will be exempt . No country doesn't matter white, brown,black will be allowed to use it. And I know you know that deep down but it just sounds more emotional to say what you said and it creates drama out of every thing trump does which is completely unnecessary but I know you guys love that, so its one of those things. 
 
Yes guys Haiti and for example El salvador are indeed 3 world countries and you can also refer to them as something else. Do you have a chain migration pipeline with currently 4m+ people going into Haiti or El Salvador or is that to the USA. Haiti had a tough history but that is no excuse for whats going on right now. At the core the region (south and central america) is very corrupt. And dont give me that "Oh america invaded all of those places and they could never recover" . Ever talked to a brazilian for example they will tell you a lot about corruption thats destroying this country in fact they impeached a sitting president for that just recently . The USA had nothing to do with that nor am I aware of any occupation of the USA in Brazil . 
When you visit those places everyone is corrupt from the core. Its the personality too.

You just said that "chain migration" is not racist in all context, but based on the MDL congressional leaders, apparently, the only time it is used in a racist context is when Trump does it.  I figured you were following the daily DNC talking points.

But it is in fact a long line of individuals waiting their turn to immigrate. F3/F4 married adult children and sibling categories take more than 22-23 years to process for the citizens of Philippines or Mexico. Best case scenario still a 13-14 years long process for others.
 
Reunification sounds like families were separated against their will. For refugees or asylees it is the case but I don't think most of us were forced to leave our home countries or leave our families behind.
