Hey John, it's Tillie here. I'm sorry to hear about how your application turned out, but it's good to know that you are moving on.

If Tony & I were in your situation, I'd choose CR-1, at this stage. Yes, it will take longer than K-1 but we've already proven that time and distance won't keep us from loving and supporting each other. We've survived and nurtured each other while in a long distance relationship for almost 3 years, what other hurdles can we not overcome together? At this point, I would feel more secured knowing that we are married while we go through the process of finally being physically together. Plus, going through another interview in a different circumstance (from K-1 to CR-1) would be a huge relief. The stress and pressure will definitely be lesser.

I wish you all the best in what ever you and Rose decide on. Be persistent in keeping her involved in the decision process. Filipino women are used to being submissive to their man because that's our culture - the man of the house has the final say, most of the time. Do not accept the "what ever you think is best" answer. I'm pretty sure she thinks and feels differently.

Good luck to you both. Hang in there.

I'm sure Rose would love that, so go for it. A wedding on the beach is nice too.

All the best to you on your POE. I fly out tomorrow too, and we're both June 30 NOA1.

Last week, I've said my "see you in January 2020" to family and good friends. It was bittersweet. Sad to leave them but excited to come home to my soon-to-be husband. I can't believe we are going to deal with USCIS again in a few weeks.

Tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day for all of us. I will be signing off the sale of my house so I am officially free of the last thing that is keeping me here.

Said goodbye to my oldest and closest friends last night. Had my last roast dinner with them, had a laugh in the pub... Then cried as they each wished me luck. Saying goodbye to my best friend last was heartbreaking. Lost. My. Sh!t.

Ed, my cat, has just this second been picked up and is on her way to the cattery for her preflight pampering.

I'm sat at home alone. It's empty... I fly out tomorrow. I'm scared, happy, crying... And cursing at how bad my grey hair and my roots are! Should probably go reapply the purple and turquoise so I actually look like the photos I provided 😂

This part is nearly over. 😐 How amazing, yet utterly bewildered this all is.

Seriously, go hug your friends and family, if you still can!

I spoke to Rose. We are getting married there in July. I think she and the kids are happy but I still get “whatever you think is best” answer.  Sometimes I wish filipinas weren’t so submissive! Lol

Yes. I know she will go along with what I say no matter what she feels. Right now I am leaning for CR-1. I want her family to be there when she gets married. I want her to be my wife. I want to visit my wife and not my fiancée. I know she wants to share her wedding with her family. I love them all. If we got married here it would be with 5 friends and my 2 kids. There are 22 of her family on a beach in Batangas right now for her sister’s birthday. I want her to share that moment with her family.

We will, in a few weeks. But that would put us on the May 2018 filers. Will keep a close watch of the April thread, though.

    @Martin3517
Call NVC 2 weeks after your NOA2 approval date. It took us 16 days to get the NVC case# or MCN. Your fiance can call them too. The process goes pretty quick after NOA2, for PH beneficiaries.

    Congrats!
I found this cover sheet online, and it actually doubled as a good checklist. Hope this helps. (Ignore the formatting at the top, it is a table inserted into Word)
I believe G-325A is no longer used. If it is, I didn't send it!
Hopefully this is all that is required, I'm no expert, so take this as advice.

Sent an oversized, heavy suitcase on Thursday (arriving at his today), did my last shift yesterday, staying with friends on the coast this weekend, picking up my passport and visa on Monday, visiting people all over next week, belongings being picked up on Thursday, gotta have a hair colouring session, get my nails did, go see my wax lady for the last time, Ed (my cat) gets picked up a week on Monday, I fly in 10 days. One last roadtrip with my sister. 😢
    Oh. Meh. GERD!

It's been SO emotional so far. Bittersweet.
Guys, waterproof eyeliner and mascara is an amazing investment. 😂👍

To those still waiting, make the most of your friends and family on home soil. This has to be one of the hardest things I have ever done.
I'm off now to hang with my best friends. Planning to spend the afternoon in the sunshine in a beer garden... Enjoying the 78° weather.
Hey, Americaland... You still stuck in winter over there? 😉

Sending you all and your loved ones tonnes of love, hope, and happiness.

The best is yet to come. 💜
