Hey everyone, my interview was today just got out of the consulate, was approved thank God. Took 5 minutes for interview and an hour just waiting and paper work. 

All done. Visa issued. 
Oh. My. God. 
After seeing 1 guy to give over my papers and fingerprints, I was sat waiting for 10 minutes to see the second person. It was pretty empty in there. 
The lady asked about my Baltimore Ravens shirt I'm currently wearing, made me raise my right hand and ask if all my stuff was correct, asked where in the US Mr H lives, if he lived in a house... Then boom.
"I'll issue you your visa. You have a great day."
Was at the booth for 2 minutes. 
Total time inside the embassy; 30 mins. 
It's an impressive looking building.
 
Called him, he couldn't eat his breakfast he was that excited and shocked that there wasn't a problem 😂
 
Up to 2 weeks to collect my visa and envelope.  
 
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!

We are approved, 

Been awhile since I visited all the fellow Junies. On Sunday I will be leaving Chicago to go to Manila to bring my fiance back to the US! We will both be back on US soil on April 18th!

I love seeing all the progression of Junies! I check in daily on you all...especially during my lunch break at work . My fiance and I went to get our marriage license today. We were in and out within 10 mins! We are 10 days away from our wedding day!!!! It is crazy how quickly the days have passed by!! 

I am beyond sad and full of questions that doesn’t come out. We have a sponsor and paper saying I will get my disability check indefinitely in USA, and if I have any medical expenses I will get paid partly back from Norwegian government. 
 
Yes, I am 100 % disabled here in Norway and I am on no medication other than alergi and over the counter pain pills.... similar to Advil. I will get all from my Norwegian government and having a sponsor, so how the hell am I going to be a public charge for the American government?! 
 
We we are going to talk to a lawyer on Thursday over Skype and on top of it all the USCIS approval we have will end at 22 nd April. We don’t even know if that time frame will be extended or ... I am just baffled and upset, we are not giving up, but this is a stupid reason for denial. It’s like they have been trying to find any way to deny us all the way. We have 7 affidavit, 44 page of chats and pictures, official gov letter stating I will get my money indefinitely - though here I am wondering since it wasn’t stamped and signed can be the reason they didn’t believe the authenticity of it - sponsor I-134 papers which works for the American postal services - here I am wondering if they even looked at that application and only saw Jason’s I-134 papers which we know wouldn’t be enough and reason we needed a sponsor.  He is also disabled and gets disability from US government. 
 
It’ Like disabled people aren’t good enough people to find love... not like we been together for over 8 years or anything..... sighs.

So Iza said that at the fisrt window they only asked her my name and how long we have been together and sent her to a second window. Maybe this was cause of the whole paperwork mishap and they wanted to keep on schedule, who knows. She didnt really say anything about the second window she went to. But then she was called into the interview with the American CO. They asked her what my ex wifes name. when i was divorced. how many times we met in person (5). Iza said she seemed impressed by that and told her that her last interview only met once. She asked if she knows my kids, she said yes she has met them personally in ph and talks to them every night. She asked the little ones there names and if they miss their brother and sister. Then She looked through our photo album and was smiling and joking with Iza during that time. Then told her congradutations your approved. She didnt look through any other of her paperwork. Now time to plan their trip home!

I was just going to the uscis case status page to get the receipt number to put on the form to send to my congressman and I figured while I was there I'd go ahead and check the status, expecting to see the same thing I've been seeing for months but instead it said 
MY CASE WAS APPROVED! I guess it just happened because I haven't even got an e-mail about it yet.
I started to cry for joy. Um....I mean um, something got in my eyes and they teared up at that exact moment-crazy coincidence, huh. 

Well POE for Rakhel was Chicago its been 1 week since she got here! amazing how time flies! 
As far as customs go she said immigration was easy in O'Hare they just asked who was picking her up and reminded her about the 90 days several times and that was it. Now if we could only get some warm weather here in the Midwest lol she has been freezing since she got here  The below pic is from Navy Pier after it was taken she was ready to head inside.. Remember warm blankets and turning up the furnace if your anywhere where its still cold! 

I had my interview yesterday. It went well, I got approved. I was at the embassy at 7:30am, finished at 10:40AM. Got my number, wait to be called. Once called, the interviewer only ask me one thing : 
Officer :  Please raise your right hand ( I got so nervous, raise my left hand mid way and was like, oh right hand is the other one). Do you swear to tell only the truth today ? 
Me : Yes 
Officer : Congratulation, your visa is approved. Welcome to America. Please go to the EMS counter to sign up for your visa to be delivered to you. 
And that is it, no question asked, nothing. I have prepared to answer all and everything but luckily I didn't have to. I left right after the officer said so, I was afraid I would say smt silly or like if they changed their mind. 
Such a relief, POE will be middle of May
It has been a long journey and I;m glad I had this community with me. Thank you and Good luck to those who still waiting. 

Hay Naku...It turns out that we had two people show up as "READY" because for some reason, Aira was not included in the information sent to the Embassy.  Only Rose and AJ showed up when they looked at the file.  Since it is already in Manila there is nothing NVC can do about it here so I have to call the Embassy on their Monday to see if I can straighten this out.  I can't leave a 15 year old girl alone in the Philippines while her mother and brother move to the US!!!  LOL
 
NVC said we have time to fix it.  I checked all the paperwork and she is included.  We have receipts for her MRV, and confirmations of her medical and interview.  It is fixable but it happened right when I thought things were going really smoothly.  Aira is crying and we really don't know how to fix this easily.  Since this is Holy Week the Embassy is closed until Monday so we can only wait until then before we know what we have to do.
 

278 days after NOA 1 and we're approved!!! Interview in Montreal was super simple and straightforward. Thank you to everyone in this group for the incredible help and information at all times, this process really takes its toll but having this group of like-minded folk is a bloody godsend! Onwards and upwards  Best of luck to everyone else still stuck in the USCIS grind!!!

A month ago I had my interview in Australia, fast forward 1 month, and we are officially but unemotionally married! (Our formal ceremony/wedding is June 30th).
 
Entry into LAX was super easy. 
Filled in a declaration form from the customer service counter, (you couldn't use the computers for K1 visa's apparently), went to the immigration officer, he took my sealed envelope, passport, and fingerprints. Stamped me though in less than 2 minutes!
From plane to baggage claim in under 30 mins!
 
I entered 2 weeks after my interview. We decided to road trip from Chicago to Vegas in an RV that cost $1/day. Highly recommend it if you have some spare change to drive across the USA! We even received $300 fuel credit!
We stopped into several National Parks and had the best time taking in some of America's greatest sights - Estes, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Monument Valley, and of course, Grand Canyon.
 
We were able to stop into a random town at an SSA office and get my SSN sorted in about 30 minutes.
 
Finally yesterday, we were able to walk into the Vegas Marriage license office, obtain the license, walk around the corner to the county clerk, and become officially and unemotionally married in less than an hour. (Our witnesses were another couple who were also getting their marriage license. We waited for them outside and we walked together to the clerk office become officially hitched).
 
We then took a Lyft down to the Vegas welcome sign and snapped a few photos with our official documentation!
Cheesy & corny, but makes for a great story in the future

Hello everyone my visa was issued Friday and I got my visa in hand today, but the weird thing is I have a k1 and k2 and both issued the same day but only my k1 passport got delivered for pick up and not my k2 so is that normal ?

I have my POE tomorrow! 
could I BE any more nervous? (All my friends watching folks out here get it).
 
now. Just to be clear. I have my passport with visa, my medical result CD and my sealed envelope with me. 
Is there ANYTHING else I need? 
Just for safety, I have my entire K1 visa folder in my backpack with all kinds of docs. 
 
Just want to make sure I’m gonna be okay. For some reason, I’m terrified to cross the border. 

So now Rose, AJ and Aira are pre-registered for medical, have taken their passport photos, have their interview confirmation and are just preparing the paperwork to carry with them.  It is so hard to believe that just 3 days ago NVC received our petition.  
 
Our interview is scheduled just 27 days after NVC received our petition.  It is just incredible after 9 months and 7 days waiting on USCIS.
 
Hang in there everyone.  This is going to happen and the speed will blow your mind once you get past USCIS.

Hey my Junies...just wanted to let you know all know that after 305 days which is 10 months and 5 days WE HAVE BEEN APPROVED!!!! (March 22nd)
 
No email or text or app.....waiting on the hardcopy as we speak!!!
