  1. So we got the passport back through Purolator today. It took a total of five days including the weekend. Now, how the heck do you guys create a USCIS account for your parent? We never received any online account number (OAN) and I’m not sure if anyone can help me out with this. Wanted to track the green card processing.
  2. What about the DOS case number? Is that also on the visa? They never got a print out or anything with that information Nevermind. Looked at that link.. apparently also on the visa stamp. Thanks
  3. And this print out after the interview did it have personal information with your A number and other information? Because my parents never got anything like this.
  4. Ok I found it and the link Chancy posted. did you guys receive a paper with your A number and all that information after the interview or did it come with your delivered passport in the mail? The only thing my parents received was a printout from the officer, which explained how to order expedited delivery, or check your delivery status.
  5. No not yet. The passports are getting delivered today by the expedited courier Purolator. Will there be instructions included with the passport on how to pay the fee?
  6. So now after receiving the passport with the visa stamp, how will they get the physical plastic green card? Does it automatically get generated and sent to the US address? Is there another application to fill out?
  7. Just wanted to update y’all. My parents had their interview in Montreal today. They were approved on the spot. They were asked some questions about who is sponsoring them, what they do for work, and essentially just verified all the original documents and copies that were brought. Very low stress! From someone who has gone through this process already, when can you expect the passport to be delivered via expedited courier service? I was hoping that my parents would be able to visit for the holidays but now they don’t have their passports.
  8. hi, thanks for sharing. Quick question, what do you mean by uploading documents to CEAC? Everything is already uploaded since submitting the application. Did you submit some additional documents?
  9. Hi all. My parents have their interview on December 13 in Montreal, which is a Wednesday. My husband and I live in Texas and naturally we would like for them to travel here for the holidays. They live in Windsor, Ontario. Does anyone know how long the expedited Purolator delivery takes? We haven’t booked flights since we are not sure how long the delivery will take. My other question is regarding crossing the border after receiving the passport and having been approved. Do they have to do any immigration stuff at that time or can they wait until the deadline on the visa which will be stamped into the passport? Any info about this process would be very helpful. Thank you all and congratulations to everyone who is through with it!
  10. DQ for my parents who are currently living in Canada: father: 7/24/2023 mother 9/19/2023 how can I get access to the spreadsheet?
  11. Hello all, I finally received an update today from NVC that both of my parents' applications have finally become, as they call "documentarily qualified" by the NVC and have moved onto the next step which is interview scheduling. I was wondering if anyone has had any recent experience with the Montreal, Canada US embassy? How long did it take from becoming "documentarily qualified" until an interview was schedule and how long from that time was the actual interview? Would appreciate any insight! It's so hard to find any recent information since COVID times about how long the process is these days. Thanks a bunch!
  12. Correct. It says in their booklet that they were both transferred to the "Reserve" afterwards but they never were called to serve officially
  13. Hello all, I am in the process of helping my parents submit their CEAC application for green card through me since I am now a naturalized US citizen. My parents both completed mandatory military service in Poland but never actually served in the military, received weapon training or basic training. They just completed their 2 years and that is all. They do have a "military card" that basically just has their information and completion of this mandatory requirement. One of the questions on the CEAC application asks about prior military service and if you answer "YES" then it asks further about branch of service, rank etc- all are things that do not apply and cannot be answered as their never served in any official capacity. Just wondering if anyone else has had similar situations or can give any advice. Any help is appreciated.
