Abdeslam reacted to NikLR in K-1 Visa will expire
No the OP would not have to leave if married to the K1 petitioner after the 90 days. They can still adjust status but would need to file an I-130.

Abdeslam reacted to Diane and Chris in K-1 Visa will expire
We don’t know both sides of the story. Encouraging her to do a VAWA is, IMO, not good advice. If she only wants to stay because of the green card and falsely accuses her husband of abuse, that would be extremely unfortunate for him. Let’s not give her false hope to stay and misuse the system.

Abdeslam reacted to troika in AOS , EAD from K1 ( evidence)
I didn't apply for AP, but looking back, I only submitted one copy of marriage/birth certificate with the whole package (AOS + EAD) and we didn't have any issues.

The latest Adobe Reader version worked for me. Anything else either didn't show the bar code or distorted it beyond recognition.
Exactly, this is what we used the latest version of Adobe. Everything else failed. Thanks!

We also took the marriage license/certificate to the social security office for card. You will need this is you changed your name when you got married. I would take it just to be sure.

Not required, since the I-485 was updated, G-325A no longer necessary.

You don't need to send any proof of bonafide marriage when you file for AOS. If you do have an interview down the line you can bring proof then.

The bar codes are there so they can scan in the forms directly without having to do OCR or manual data entry. If they don't appear, then the worker just needs to scan it in like any other form. If they do appear, they will scan the bar code and use the data from that. It's mostly a benefit to the data entry folks, but if used en masse it can help speed up processing.
The issue is if you do use the barcode, then do NOT handwrite anything. There's a decent chance they won't ever see it and just use the scanned data from the bar code.

It's no longer needed.
from the guide listed previously:
" Download the Following Forms:
1. I-864
2. I-485
3. I-765 (optional)
4. I-131 (optional)
5. G-1145 (optional) "

The form types listed are current right now. Always download the actual forms from USCIS directly to ensure they are the latest editions.

You can do either or or both at the same time. You can start with SS and it takes short time to apply. AOS is time consuming and you need to submit many documents. Just follow the Link that Geowrian posted.

Wow, you are a sharp shooter, got married in two days from your arrival. Congrats.
Well, for your SS, you can go to SS office and apply for one, they will ask for your Passport and your I-94. But you have to do it as soon as possible otherwise you have to wait for your EAD or Green Card and Original marriage certificate.
For EAD and AP, You need to file I-485 adjustment of status. Just look at the GUIDES here in VJ and follow the instructions.
Its will take at least 6 months to get your EAD/AP card

Abdeslam got a reaction from Rani32 in K1 visa denied in Casablanca
I think theirs more to the story than what you said , been aproved or denied is not about time spent together , I got aprouved in the embassy of algeria , with 1 visit for few days ( not even a week)
one more thing , they tend to aprouve or denie some one before the interview

Abdeslam reacted to Alabamak1 in Visa under review at consulate
did you talk to your fiance about what happened in the interview? this sounds a little odd. my experience and from what i could read on VJ most people dont get much problems if the documentation was complete and proof of relationship was good enough for the CO

Sounds that way for lots of people here.
How do you think it will sound to the CO interviewing you?
You can either get defensive or take the advice given about your difficult situation.

From an outsider perspective , getting maried twice to a us citizen in a such a short time sounds like a mariage just to get into the us

Lots of job opportunities in Houston honestly. Big area though so could mean travel for work each day, commuting time can be a pain with traffic. What type of field of work? Also, same as for my husband, he had a degree in management but because, even with having internships in the US previously, without a lot of US work experience he had to start at a lesser position in one company until he found something else in his current company as an assistant manager. So depending on your field of work you may have to concede to a slightly more "entry" level until you get US work experience; but that is not always the case either.
