Yes. They are right. You cannot work in the US without work permit, whether remotely or not.

I remember your story. Sorry for your loss.
Just curious, do you have someone already in mind to marry or just doing your homework on when can you, immigration-wise? And if you do have someone, is she from the same country as you?

People on DACA can AOS, as long as they are immediate relatives of a USC who entered legally. OP's issue is the illegal entry.

From title,  it was received October 2nd instead of October 5th. ROC window opened October 4th

Did you file for Citizenship and ROC?
If so, the notice is self explanatory.  Both have been approved and since Citizenship outweighs ROC, you won't get 10 year GC...Basically, you're all set as a natuaraluzed citizen

There's a difference between the Advance Parole and the re-entry permit. Both use the same form (i-131) but the AP is for those who aren't greencard holders yet, while the reentry is for greencard holders who are going to stay outside the US for a year or longer. The latter doesn't require you to stay in the US until approved if I'm not mistaken (only until the biometrics are taken), but the AP does.

I don’t believe it was released as the fee increase was stopped for the time being.

I managed to retrieve my package from the post office and resubmitted it correctly.

Honestly, call it a day. You don't want to deal with someone who doesn't know if she's wants to be on the left or the right. It will cost you dearly when married.

I'd let the petition die on its own and distance myself from her. You never know. She may end up getting a reality check and come back solid to you.

If tickets are non-refundable, utilize them and enjoy yourself. Even the leg to US, use it but avoid meeting/ going to her and seek your own happiness. You never know, you may end up meeting a flight attendant or some beautiful lady on the street in US who would be charmed by you. Basically, don't curtail your own happiness for someone else especially if they're not doing the same. Why give you both my legs yet you won't even give me one of yours?

And if all this fail, PM me. I still have 2 beautiful sisters who are spinsters. They're very highly educated. Do you know what that means interms of African culture????I won't tell you. Figure it out.

I filed taxes when I was 16, 17, etc. due to having summer jobs.  I remember being pissed at my dad because he claimed me as a dependent and therefore I couldn't claim any deductions.  No refunds for me.((

No. She never filed taxes. Her parents claiming her as a dependent does not equal to her filing taxes.
