    Great News Everyone!!!!!!

Someone's CEAC status changed to  "Issued" today.
They were on AP/Ds5535 for just over one month…

I hope the Person shares their Experience here.

This could be an indication that something good is brewing

Perhaps, Standford can reach out to the Consulate, Senate or Congress on your behalf.
I would also, recommend you contacting your consulate daily even if they do not answer.
In other words, you must remain proactive, as there is a possibility your Visa is put aside to either die or have you
give up altogether. Read around the net and you will realize that USCIS and DHS officials have clearly stated this Form is nothing
less that a Tactic to slow or stop Visits and Immigration from Certain parts of the world and of Some of certain Faith.
Best of luck and do not give up.

Lebanon is Majority Muslim. Some can change their names to pass for Christians iot get Visas. It was done in the past in Egypt and Jordan. DHS is aware and give the Ds form to ensure the names are legit.
What opportunity you missed in California?

Isn t it ironic that "Faith", Islam and "Alah" are the very reason behind the Ds-5535? Again I hope I am wrong, but the Man in charge said: "…A complete shutdown of Muslims….etc". He attempted a Ban on all Muslim Countries, but had to narrow it down. Very Sad how religion can be the root of a lot of evil on this planet. When religion should bring peace and justice to all humanity regardless or nationality, faith, gender, color, ethnicity etc…. I have great respect for all religions, but have zero tolerance nor respect for extremism in any religion, shape or form. Let us hop the Man finds it in his heart and allow our loved ones to come home. He is our only hope and the greater Powers too, of course. Be it Alah, Krishna, Jesus, Buddha or Pegasus.

December 2018. But, I have been monitoring the progress or lack of progress of the Ds-5535 form.
Mainly because my wife and I expected this dreadful form; She is from Fez, an imperial city that has not been liked lately.
Honestly, I am not sure what to do because I can not move there, and obviously she can not move here. I wish I had known
she would not be able to come here. It would have saved us money and perhaps, we would have not pursued each other.
Marriage and family are meant to be under one roof, or at least know when they would be together. Currently, there is no indication we will have a normal life, together in one home where I make a living and feel at home. I have a great career here in my country, and it would be almost a career suicide to move to Morocco. Add to that my entire family is here and I can not imagine myself living overseas. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of assuming I, a proud Us citizen, have the right to marry whomever and bring her home. I paid fees and went through all the steps without an RFE nor a Sponsor. My wife had never left Morocco nor done anything to raise a flag for this Ds form. BUt, it is what it is and we are just taking it one day at a time and keep praying and hoping for a miracle.

I could not have said it better. Agreed that Marriage is a blessed institution and love must conquer all. However, reality has a different picture of it all. My statements regarding my own marriage come from my deep and true love to my wife. I feel she deserves a lot better than this experience and ordeal. No one should be put in this heartless and inhuman dark hole. Had I known, I d have spared my wife this pain and suffering. As someone stated above, there is no solution nor light at the end of the tunnel here. Again, I hope I am so very wrong and that our spouses come home soon. You have been waiting for over 18 months. What are your plans? I hope you hear something soon so that this tread becomes a bit hopeful.

Hello my friend! This marriages are written in haven! Now that you are blessed with this sweet marriage, please be optimistic and never value any thing above marriage, no country, not a job, nothing above family and marriage. Please be patient, and travel as often as possible to meet your spouse. I made 5 visits to my wife in Tangier area in just 15 months. I value my wife more than my self, if denied the visa, I will go to court, and if court also denied my wife visa I will go to the next level and next level until the supreme court, and if the highest court denied my wife visa, I will give up the US citizenship at that point! Nothing worth in life than a loving spouse and a great family. Like your case, I have a great job in USA. I hold a terminal degree and a higher position. If my country (US) doesn't value me, I am willing to move on and live in any country that recognize my quality. This processes so far doesn't make any sense. My wife and I are VERY educated and have nothing in mind than contributing to our country (US) and the humanity at large. We are intelligent, we love life and we wanted to bring up our family to be so. We do not fit the profile for this security screening, but its what its. So my advise is to be patient. Moroccan are sweet people, seek help and support from friends and be optimistic. Always believe that the final decision comes from Allah, that me be to live with your spouse in USA or else where and always for a good reason! Never regret or heart your spouse because of this process, be grateful that you got to know and marry your spouse. I do not have Moroccan background, but married to a VERY loving beautiful Moroccan wife, and have very beautiful son from my wife. If asked to repeat this over, I will still with great love marry my wife despite of all these difficulties!

I hope I am wrong, but
is it possible the Ds-5535 is just a "Backdoor Ban"?
Since its introduction, I have monitored websites from Fb pages to VisaJourney.
Only a hand full of cases have received Visas after submitting the form.
Is it possible only a single digit percentage of applicants get thru? only to show the form is not a "Backdoor Ban"?
Again, I hope I am wrong, but numbers are not encouraging. Also, there is Zero Transparency about this Ds form.
Please correct me and for the third time, I hope I am wrong that this might be just a Ban in this mysterious Ds-5535.

The Ds-5535 must be given to all or not given at all.
Or, at least it should not carpet one area and ignore other areas.
My initial understanding was that the CO requests the Ds-5535 when they sense the need for Extreme Vetting.
I was wrong when I found out Certain areas are almost Exempted while others are Required from Everyone, including
a 72 year old Grand-mother… A waste of time, money, resources and most dangerously letting some slip through just because they were born in a different region considered "safer".

My wife and I have given up on trying to understand how this entire Visa System works and how safe this system makes us here in the States. Some males with trips to Turkey, which borders Syria, with no English skills nor any skills get approved for K1 s with no DS-5535 forms- Extreme Vetting. Their K1 and CR1 visas are approved and in hand within days of the interview. Not to mention the petitioners are much older with no income and must use 2 and 3 sponsors to bring these young men. Meanwhile, Moroccan females, who ve never been outside their hometowns with college degrees and clean records, with spouses that can support them six times over, are handed the Ds-5535 for Extreme Vetting.
Why? Only because they happened to be from one region, while the males are from another. Try to understand ...

may seem inhuman but TangierMorocco  a member on here has waited since December 2017
the people who get ds5553  don't like it but it keeps them from traveling to a country deemed hostile to the USA while they await the ds 5535 investigation
if they were allowed to hang onto the passport,  they could travel and it would require additional security checks/  even buying a ticket to Europe  friendly country as you can travel from there to anywhere
immigration  is working hard to protect our country,  our citizens and even the beneficiary (with rules  that keep a foreigner safe  like the Adam Welsh Act)
