    Well great news, good luck.

We had the interview this morning.   Mostly fine expect that USCIS launched yet one more hurdle for us before approval.

After security clearance, the initial desk fingerprinted us and then we went with, say 40 others to a holding area.   It was the initial morning group and lots of people were called in to the interview rooms at the same time.    The guy initially asked if we had brought anything for him to see, so i provided joint data on car insurance, car loans, gym membership, costco, a joint bank account. He took each one and annotated them and added them to the file.  The only one he commented on was the bank account info. I had printed off the intro page only, and didn't have transactions.  He said he would consider at the end if he would need to get a page with transactions, but he never mentioned it again. He had other fish to fry.   We also gave an envelope of newer photos and some shared facebook posts which he glanced at and filed.    The original application was in March 2019 so had 2018 petitioner tax returns.  We gave him the petitioner 2019 tax returns.  He did query why it wasn't a joint return and we explained that i had no income and that we hadn't told the accountant for my patern.  He was satisfied with that.

He asked to confirm some basic details from the application, and the only thing he asked me about the petitioner was if I knew the date of birth.   He then asked me reams of yes/no questions from the application about various criminal, gun, drugs questions etc.  Only one I had to give details was on my previous visa rejections.

At the end he asked us where we met, and who proposed.  He wrote the anwers in one of his sheets with a red pen, and it seemed to me that if we said we met on the moon he would just have written it down.

Then to THE ISSUE.  He asked me if I had my medical records.  I said no becuase when we submitted the 485 applic in March 2019, it was clear that the medical records I had submitted in the prior K1 application would apply and did not need to be renewed.  That fact has  been discussed on this forum many times, is mentioned in some USCIS faq page and was agreed by our lawyer.  But he said no, I would need a new medical because those original medicals were on a State Dept form and he needed ones on a USCIS form.  I asked if it was the case that the originals had just expired and he said no.  I didn't want to argue so gave up.  I didn't ask if he HAD the originals in the file,  But on reflection, I don't think he did.  I think they were lost during the various issues with my casefile (documented in older posts).   So, Ive made an appointment for tomorrow, $375 and vaccinations AGAIN. He said they would be processed within 15 days when received and then the greencard would be issued.   But based on my experience of USCIS and my issues over the past 2 years, I don't believe any of their time commitments.

If the medicals REALLY had been required to be renewed as part of the March 2019 application, how come it wasn't done when the application was originally reviewed in June 2019 and they issued an RFE for the correct-form birth cert.   Or when I was intially called for interview in Nov 2019.   Instead of leaving it until everything else was done and THEN asking for them.    It makes little sense, but then its USCIS we are talking about here, not everything has to make sense.  I dont know of anyone else on here who was asked for those at interview.

Anyhow, any reader of this shouldn't draw any conclusions from my case, or get worried.   Stick to your own information.

    Thank you @Gigi2017
Yes i submitted my package December 31,2018. They have now scheduled me for an interview.
I honestly gave up, because every time we send in an inquiry, they say backlog.
But lucky for me on November 2,2020 my case change to ready to be scheduled for an interview.
Then on November 9 it changed to interview has been scheduled.

Finally, interview scheduled for mid November!!

In case the info may be of use to anyone else:

On 9th October, out of the blue, someone apparently from USCIS, called my spouse, the petitioner, to discuss the application.  They said they would have to track down their missing documents.   Then on 21st Oct they generated a notice that cancelled the Dec 2019 interview and the next day they issued a notice for a new interview in November.

Co-incidentially, on 10th Oct, I submitted as an "out of processing time" request.  The original March 2019 application PD was not out of their published processing time, but I claimed that the interview re-schedule was out of processing time.  On 14th Oct, the formal response to the service request was the very strange "not your case number".    I had used was the correct number, so the person processing the service request must have typed the wrong number in their system.

When in fact, they had started activity on 9th Oct.   Just one more wrong information from USCIS.  But it doesn't matter any more.

Hope the rest of you still waiting are hanging in there.... @rye_212 I'm sorry to read your post that nothing has moved forward My husband has now had to cancel two flights to Ireland...much of his family there tested positive and he's itching to get back to see his dad (who is not well and has been isolating alone since March!!) but it doesn't look likely anytime in the future. Hopefully you will get good news before travel is even possible. Thinking of you!

Crazy times people. I hope you are all safe and staying INSIDE. My husband has a friend back in Ireland who has been going through the K1 process and he had his interview scheduled last week and they canceled. So now who knows when it will be rescheduled or what will happen. I feel for him. This is insane!

Hi just checking in to see if you've heard anything new. I'm guessing probably not...was talking to someone last week who just got his green card (not a K1 -- was a student visa and work sponsored him to stay) in February and he was saying how grateful he is because he knows so many people now who were in the USA on visas who may have to leave, but of course no flights are going, so they are stuck and not sure what to do. We have a friend in Ireland doing a K1 who was about to have his interview the week of the shutdown and now nothing. I feel so bad for everyone stuck in limbo right now not knowing what will happen. And that you haven't been able to be home in over a year ugh. My husband went to Ireland in February and came back just as everything was beginning to shut down. His sister and her whole family ended up getting Coronovirus (they are all thankfully recovered) so no one has been able to see their dad as he is very ill with a lung disease and my husband is so worried about the next time he will be able to go home. We are hoping for September. His sister was supposed to come with her family here for vacation in June but obviously everything got canceled. Anyway, I'm blabbing but just thinking of you all.

Hey! Funny enough I just logged in to update haha.

USCIS called my hubby earlier and told us to just mail them the RFE so I did that tonight 🤞🏼

I really feel for those who were so close to getting to be with their other half’s, that’s heartbreaking.

I’m in NYC (Manhattan) so in the thick of it in the states but I’m so grateful to be with my man ♥️

    Stay safe 🙏🏼

Yes after the interview. They want court documents from an arrest In 2017 (charges dropped) that have a raised seal. It’s something I think is easy to sort out. Will call the court house on Monday.

So I’m the subway back to work after our interview and thought I would do a quick write up before I forget!

We are at the NYC office in Manhattan and our interview was at 10:45am. We arrived 20 mins early and had to wait for maybe 2.5 hours it was so busy but expected.
We were called in by a man who was actually really nice but very professional. I felt like we got really grilled 😂 he took some of our photos, and copies of our joint medical etc. He asked us why we had only filed 1 year (2019) jointly in taxes but then he laughed and was like of course you’ve only been married 1 year lol.

my husband stumbled and couldn’t remember dates but I could see He was really nervous.

We were in there for about 30 mins and he said said it will take about 2-3 weeks to get the card if all goes well.

not sure if I think it was good or bad to be honest! Fingers crossed

    Update!
Feb 20: Interview in the morning in SF. We came 30mins before schedule. At the inner waiting area, we were called to the interview before our schedule and the officer thanked us for being early. He was pleasant, friendly and thorough. It was a pretty easy interview. I was bracing myself for intrusive questions such as 'What colour are your husband's underwear' but he asked nothing of the sort. First we swore to tell the truth before taking a seat. He asked for my passport, EAD, Social Security,  state ID and my husband's passport and driver's license. He asked me all of the questions on the I-485 form and physically check-marked each item on the papers when my answer matches what was written. He would also write down on the form anything I answer that wasn't there (have I been a part of any organization- I didn't write any on the form but I said orally 'like girl scouts?' and he wrote that down). Then he went through all the Yes/No questions in the end, and looked especially serious when asking the question about having ever used public assistance from the US government. Then he showed me all the new information he wrote down on the form and had me sign it. Then he asked my husband where we first met and during this, I make a point of not helping him answer any of the questions, just nodding if he gets it right. After a while we just start telling our story. The officer seemed to be typing everything we were saying, all the stories we tell him and seemingly just every word we say. Then he looked through and kept a few photos from the stack of photos we had printed out and he liked that we had labelled it in the back of each. He commented that the group photos with family members were very good. Every time anything comes up in conversation that we had corresponding paperwork for, we would hand it to him. He said we're very organised, lol. He liked that we submitted mostly original documents and not photocopies (like the marriage certificate). In the end he asked if there's anything else we'd like to give him or tell him and we said no, that's what we have. Then he left to make a photocopy of my own work offer letter (I only brought the original, it was an afterthought). When he came back he gave us 2 pieces of paper, told us that our case will be reviewed to make sure that I will not be a public charge and that the decision will come within 2-4 weeks. Status changed later in the afternoon to interview is completed and that it was being reviewed.

Evidence we had: joint bank statement (checking and savings, the officer asked what we used the checking for, this seemed kind of weird), husband's job offer letter, my job offer letter, my latest W2 and husband's latest tax forms (husband always does taxes early), 1 car title showing both our names as owners, health dental and life insurance through husband's job also showing my name as beneficiary and as dependent, photos.

Feb 21: Status changed to New card is being produced! Woohoo!

    Hey everyone, March filer here!
So excited that I finally got my interview letter in the mail!! It's been scheduled for March 23, so I've got a bit of time to get ready for it.

My most pressing concern is this:
My husband has changed jobs since we filed the AOS last year. Is it enough to just bring an updated I-864 and recent pay stubs with us on the interview date, or do we need to mail this in advance?  If anyone else has experienced something similar, I'd really appreciate your opinion. Thanks!

Hi! Just wanted to give an update - we are APPROVED!!!
The interview was pretty easy and lasted about 20-25 minutes. It didn't really feel like an interview but more like a conversation honestly and the officer was really nice. After she swore us in, she explained how the interview was going to go and asked us if we had any new documents to provide. I said yes and while I pulled them out, she casually asked us when we met, when our relationship got serious, and when the proposal was. Then I handed her all the updated documents that we had for the I-864 (new pay stubs, W-2s etc..) and new evidence of bona fide marriage. As I was handing her all the docs, we casually chatted about them, like trips we had taken, who was in what pictures, our families etc. Then she went through the forms and updated a couple of things as necessary. Finally she had me answer all the standard "are you a criminal" type questions. After that she said she would have to do some admin stuff in the system but that she would be approving us and explained how ROC etc works. She was so nonchalant when she said that she was approving us that we didn't even realize that we had gotten it at first haha We got the email notification of new card in production within half an hour after we left!!

One thing that I thought was interesting was that she said that when the green card gets delivered, we would have to sign for it and that they would not just leave it without a signature. Which I thought was weird because I have not heard of anyone having to sign for it yet here? Wondering if that's a new thing..

All in all it was a pretty straightforward interview. I'm so so thankful for everyone here for the support through the whole process and for always being a great source of information when questions came up!

Just read through about 6 pages of new posts. I started a new job a few weeks ago and have been traveling a ton. My husband (the applicant) just got a new job at whole foods, so first time he will fill out employment info with his new green card! Just wanted to say CONGRATS to all of you who have been approved over the past few weeks (seems like a good number of people) and for the few in DC who just got notified of their interviews! I will say that it seems like everyone who started in this original group is finally coming to the end of this horrible process! It's a huge relief. Congrats to everyone!
