Hey Octobears, 

I couldn't bear another day (Day 202) of not knowing where I stand with the EAD/AP situation - so I gave a call to USCIS today to speak to a Tier 2 agent. Spoke with someone today and was told that nothing had been touched on my case since Nov last year! He said that there was a huge backlog at NBC for EAD and AP's and that the last time someone called in he was advised to give the Ombudsman number, especially as I'm still within 'Normal Processing Times', even though I'm about a week away from being outside Normal Processing Times now. He understood my frustration and gave me the Ombudsman number. I proceeded to call the Ombudsman [(202) 357-8100] and they told me just to fill out a form online ( https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx ) - which I have done but don't know if it's gone through as I've yet to receive a confirmation email. [It apparently doesn't work on Chrome or Firefox and you have to use Internet Explorer? - But I managed to work it on Chrome, if I don't receive any confirmation by tomorrow, will re-submit after re-downloading Internet Explorer...]

I am not sure if this will help anyone else, but if it does, glad to pass on the information - I know we are all going stir crazy in waiting. Here's to more approvals this week and some solid responses to everyone whose sent in a case inquiry or RFE/RFIE!

Guys! After 5 months of waiting and seeing how others on our same local office got appointments after 2-3 months, we finally got our INTERVIEW SCHEDULED!
Received a message on the phone, an email and the status already updated on the site. I'm elated! And still somehow in disbelief. It's that kind of long awaited thing that I hoped but didn't think would happen. 
 
Of course, we still need to be approved, but that depends entirely on us. Now it is all about waiting for the actual notification with the date and gathering all the necessary documents. 
 
Regarding EAD/AP, status is still at received and I guess it'll remain that way. 
 
I send everyone still waiting all the best vibes and a virtual hug. And some mental waves towards the USCIS, so they can work on those who've waited longer. 
@rrobin0609 & @JunkTardis , I'm certain you'll receive news very soon and we'll all celebrate and leave all this frustration behind. 

Hello Everyone...
I have a suggestion for everyone still waiting for EAD (November).
 
I called USCIS on Monday (April 8th) and requested to be transferred to Tier2, but they were busy/unavailable according to the Customer Rep. and advised I call back the next morning. On Tuesday (April 9th), I called in the morning and after about 30 minutes, the Cust. Rep. picked, transferred and I requested for Automatic Callback from Tier2 Officer. The Officer called me back after 2 hours and I explained the reason I called...'I filed since November last year and I'm so in need of my EAD because I would love to apply for my DL, renew my state ID and able to move around and not just be stuck at home. Also, I can see January being approved while November is left behind.' He explained the Timeline and how all cases are different. I agreed about all cases being different, but...'doesn't mean my case is faulty. I applied for EAD with AOS and I know I didn't make any mistake during the application. So, if there's any mistake, it's better I get a response from y'all instead of absolute silence and abandonment of my file'. I told him that was just the reason I called, bid goodbye and cut the call. 
 
On Wednesday (April 10th), I got a Notification of 'New Card is being Produced'.
 
Give them a call and explain your situation. You've got nothing to lose.

In the midst of everyone getting EAD and interviews, the following just happened:
 
My phone goes off. I see its an email from my dad. Matt does not.
Me: Wooooo!
Matt: What? What is it? Interview scheduled?
Me: No! I won the family March Madness competition!
Matt: You got my hopes up and ripped them away. Yes, Im going to be bitter the rest of the night.

EAD-New Card Produced: April 10th
Filed: Nov. 22nd
NOA1: Nov. 27th
 

I dont think they've started October really yet. I do a scan of the same 500 case numbers from my date (October 22nd) everyday and I'd say on average they are touching 2 EAD cases per day for that 500 scan. And that's only 500 cases from the 22nd. I predict there are anywhere from 900 to 4500 EAD applications for each week day of the month. 

Visa Approved. Thank you jesus and thank you to everyone for the support so far.

Mine is flying in tomorrow... how do we go about extending the fiancee visa? in maryland we have to apply for a license then do a court wedding (which i have to take time off from work to do)

Good Evening Everyone- Sharing the good news- My fiance had his interview today and thanks be to God we are APPROVED!!!!! He finallyyyy gets to meet the bun in the oven- and right before the 20 week mark to find out the gender
