I&A2017 reacted to Ed&Midori1031 in almsot 6 months since NOA1 and nothing (merged)
I had the high hopes of getting my fiancé and her son here from Brazil in the December timeframe.  Then I was contemplating about should I save my vacation time to go see her during the visa interview, or wait until the holidays to spend the "spirit" of the moment together.  As of now, I'm going to be visiting Brazil during Xmas and New Years, and I think I made a good decision doing so.  In my opinion, I think we all get frustrated because we have plans, thoughts of when we want things to happen.  One thing that my fiancé has told me and I learned, that time itself will let us know when is the right time.  I mean, it took us 4 years to finally meet each other in person.  Anyways, I'm done ranting, but I'm hoping we hear and an answer if not this year, early next year!  And the same goes to you and your loved ones, cheers!

I&A2017 reacted to KingKINGNana in MY EXPERIENCE CR1 INTERVIEW ON 8th NOVEMBER
Hi guys thank you for everything.... I just wanna share my experience with CR1. How my interview went.

I arrived at the Embassy at 7am, my interview time was 9:30am. So around 9am they lined us up and we went through the security checks and I sat at the awaiting area around 9:15am. I sat there for 2 hours before I was called to come to window 5. When I got there, it was a Ghanaian Woman... she smiled and said please can I have all your documents. I gave her my two passport pictures... evidence (WU receipts, WhatsApp Chats, Google Hangouts Chat, Marriage Pictures, Random Pictures, Call Records.....  Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, Passport... I mean she took all that’s needed. Then she asked me to put my hand on the fingerprint scanner after which she asked me to sit down and wait.

Then around 2:20pm I heard my name asking me to come to Window 11.

The CO was a man in his 40’s. This was the questions he asked me.

    who’s the petitioner?
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

why have you kept evidence from 2010 till now?
Sir can I ask a question, Back home in America... when you pay bills or you buy something from Walmart don’t you keep your receipts? He said I keep them. Then I said so what’s wrong with me keeping mine? He said okay I understand

    Is this a plan thing?
    No Sir

when did you know you will do this whole process?
    I said 2014.

how did you meet your wife?
    She was my childhood friend.

    whats your wife phone number?
i don’t know because I don’t keep phone numbers in my head, all I know is first 3 digits.

    whats your wife job?
    XXXXX

what do you do for living?
Sir I am into Computer (Fixing.. I can fix anything). Then he said Then you are smart guy... you can make all these documents. This could be fake man...
then I said, can I ask a question... he said okay.
if I say to you... that you take money from people to give them visa, what will you say?
He said.. Noo I don’t do that ... I love my job and I respect my job... then I said well Exactly I also love and respect my job. I won’t use my job to do anything bad. He said oh okay, I understand.

who do you call first when you wake up?
i said, I would have love to call my wife when I wake up but unfortunately by the time I wake up it will be pass midnight in America. So I call my family or friends.

Then he asked, so what’s your friends number?
Sir like I said I don’t keep phone numbers in my head. Then he said... I wanted to see if you will choose your friends phone number over your wife.

why did you buy a phone for your wife in 2011?
sir that’s how much I love my wife.

why do you chat with your wife this much?
    yes sir.

From my Albulm he asked only one question. To identify a certain woman, who is she? I answered.

How am I Sure this Pictures am looking at is you?
I said sir... look at my face and look at the pictures well. What do you see?
He said I see is you.

Well let me issue your visa visa for you, good luck and have a nice day.

If you don't file for AOS within the 90 days, then you are overstaying just like anybody else that stays past their I-94. You would be accumulating unlawful presence and are technically deportable. It's unlikely they would actually pursue this since removal is a lengthy process and the problem would be solved via a simple I-485 filing. But you certainly are not in the US legally after 90 days and before you file for AOS.

Once you file for AOS, you have authorized stay in the US. It's still not a legal status, but you are covered from removal based solely on your presence in the US (and unlawful presence is not accumulating in the meantime). The NOA1 is evidence of your legal presence.

It took my wife and I 157 days to get NOA2 back in 2015 when packets were still going to Texas and many more took longer than us.  The good news is they will get to you and it will happen.  The wait was frustrating but well worth it.  My wife and I just found out we are expecting our second child. Good luck to all of you guys.  God Bless.

They're not handling September, I checked guys believe me I scanned 3 different months yesterday.

august doesn't have a tracker yet. July is before that and June didn't even started yet. Once things get cozy I'll find someone here who would like to do. The worst case I'll do it for August too.

just think it in a good way.

they are not going to ignore june-August and jump to September.

so either it's a good thing and things will move a lot faster.
or not and just stick with your timelines and we will all get through it one way or another.

and believe me I myself arranged everything now for a noa2 in 2018... my whole budget is f..ed up

Let's unite and pray for the USCIS peeps/adjudicators to speed up the process. I am really missing the love of my life so much.  The long waiting time is really killing me.

I'm going to mention something as everyone else has covered immigration. She would need the fathers consent to take the kids. I highly doubt that he would be willing to give her a way to escape with them.

and maybe he has seen through that your love for him is more for his nationality then him as clearly you are making plans for another US Citizen!

You will likely get denied next time for a K1 as your goal will be visible to immigration too.  You may need to go for CR-1 next time.  Also, your next fiance will wonder if you are moving USC to USC!

Life is too short to not live it with someone who makes you feel wanted and loved.  Finding a USC likely much more older to you is not the way to go and doesn't help your fellow country people who have genuine relationships as it tars a nationality with the same brush.

Wow, never considered/thought of Mexico as a high fraud country.  We made it through the long process including removing conditions with zero problems/RFE.  Always told the truth, read the Visa Journey guides, and asked a ton of questions.  Make sure every t is crossed and every i is doted.  Best wishes and feel free to ask me any questions.

    May God bless you

Don't worry about it OP, Joan is from the Philippines, a country on the high possible fraud list too. We had no problem throughout the entire, painfully long process. There are also plenty of people on here from Mexico. Post some questions in the Mexico sub-forum if you specific concerns, but you stated that your relationship was rue and bonafide , so submit the proper evidence and all should be fine. Good luck!=

We are not at the end of our journey so I don't have a personal success story to share yet....but I have to say reading some of the post one here can be discouraging if you are petitioning for a high fraud country.  I've seen many horror stories and negative responses that have made us tense at times.

The fact of the matter is if your relationship is real then we have to try not to worry (easier said than done..i know) how long this takes ins't in our hands.

    Good luck to you!!

Red flags even in cases from high fraud countries can be overcome and successful.

Just be prepared and have all documents needed when it comes time for interview.

It looks like most of the world is on the high fraud list. But don't worry too much, if your relationship is legitimate you'll have all the proof you need. just make sure to submit that proof.

If people follow the rules, have all the documentation in order and dont lie to USCIS,  I think its going to be a successful case.
