ToTheMoonAndBack got a reaction from stellamahoo in NOA2 January 2018 ---> NVC
I did have a cover letter and copies of everything. They want the copies cause that's what they'll keep. You'll get your originals back.

My packet 3 came in the mail today!
I was unimpressed by the size of it! It's an A5 envelop with 4 sheets of paper folded over.
I guess because it's such an important thing, I had expected it to be bigger, or at least in a big envelop!
Either way, time to get busy!
I'm just going to make copies of everything, but my checklist states that 2 copies are required of Court and Prison records (if applicable), and then originals of birth and police certificate.
As @ToTheMoonAndBack and back wrote, I'll for sure include the copies of my birth and police certificates as I want the originals back.

I went to my congressmen's office in person. I spoke a woman who had extensive experience with immigration issues. I had already filled out a report online. We talked for 30 minutes. She said she would make contact for me herself. 4 days later, on Sunday no less, I got an email with our NOA2. I think it may have help that I didn't do this online.
I used to live in SLC, engaged to a Brazilian

ToTheMoonAndBack reacted to RLA in NVC (November 2017 Approvals)
I'm frustrated. Our petition was approved on Nov. 8, but it just wouldn't make its way to the NVC, even after 12 weeks. And now USCIS just sent us another NOA2, dated Jan. 31. I guess that means that the morons fumbled our original approved petition, and that we'll have to wait at least another 6 weeks?

@Trinab80 @Maria1989 I had hoped to stop in to see some good news from you guys but it looks like our cases are still being reviewed. I'm just coming back from Jamaica so I do have a renewed strength in our petition getting approved. I've called USCIS again and told again there is nothing wrong with my petition. No RFEs, no security alerts, nothing and the officer doesn't understand why it hasn't been approved already. I'm like if you don't understand and you work there I'm even more in the dark. Anyway hopefully the officers who have our petitions will do the right thing....approve them and stop holding the cases hostage on his desk.

Ughhhhhhhhh. This is SOOOO frustrating already and feels like everything is operating at a snails pace. Not only did we get heavily delayed by the USCIS, where it took 7.5 weeks from USCIS to NVC...but the NVC to Embassy process is taking an eternity as well. Case arrived NVC 01/11, shipped from NVC 1/25... it's now 1/31, still " In Transit " to Canada. Been a week now since it was shipped out. How long does it possibly take to arrive? Every other embassy is taking just a couple days...
That crossed my mind too, just to send it anyways. Let me know if you hear anything! Still nothing on our end... just "In Transit" as usual.....

Horrible advice. Fiance visa is strictly for people who are ready for marriage.
If you're not ready your it option is b2 - tourist visa.

Our visa was approved today! It felt not quite done, done at first because it couldn't be officially approved because they had not received the medical yet. (Don't get me started on the Knightsbridge Doctors.) But, after the interview, my fiancé called KD, and they apologized and got the medical couriered over today, so hopefully there won't be any delay in getting the visa. And after all that waiting, and snafus with KD, like a lot of people have said, the London Embassy interview was the easiest part of the whole process. The CO asked my fiancé three questions. He was there less than half an hour.

Don’t fret, vaccinations aren’t a must for K1 but for AOS. If you have an incomplete on the DS-3025, you can search for the nearest USCIS civil surgeon in your area(when he arrives in the US). He doesn’t need to do another medical exam but just ask for the civil surgeon to transcribe Form DS-3025 (copy of vaccinations) to Form I-639. If he lacks a vaccine, the civil surgeon will give it to him for a fee. I was reading through the AOS requirements and it says to submit Form DS-3025 or Form I-639.
