During my process for the K1 Visa, I did not find much information. Their website is out of date, but common sense will help you achieve it. After NVC receives your petition and its ready status, you must make a profile at ustraveldocs. This will help you book your VAC and Embassy appointment. Do not sit and wait for package 3-4 it will not happen. As you book your appts the confirmation page will let you know the documents to bring and locations. Please please go with your partner!!! The beneficiary can fly out of anywhere closer to home. They only have one entry to the US. And flying to US it doesnt matter the airport Im from NJ and my fiance flew through JFK NYC. Easier process and cheaper airline ticket.

Bring call logs, actual photos of u and partner plus family members n friends, social media posts, chat logs.. of your ongoing relationship before filing during and after.. I did and it worked out. Depending on the officer know everything about your partner!!! I was asked his shoe size, clothes, likes, dislikes, common interests, what we liked doing together etc.. Yes good luck 😊

And pleasee attend the interview these consular people are rough. Its optional but I doubt it!!! Build a strong case ..

My outmost honest advice be patient every case is different.. some people go through with it fast while others are slower. Trust me my petition was approved in april NVC received it late June.. and I saw many members doing everything fast!!! 
 
But I can share with all of u my experience and happiness.. my fiance passport is readyyyyyy yeahy at last! Pay attention to your email very important that is the way they comunicate with you.

I waited until my case was sent to the embassy to schedule VAC and Embassy Appointment. NVC emails you when the case is ready at embassy. Because you will need the letter in order to go to your medical.

You need to wait until NVC is done with your petition. They will email you a letter stating that they have sent your petition to SDO. You need to print it and take it to your medical appt or they will not see you. So, until it says Ready do not go further in the process. Once its out of NVC it goes fast. But do not go ahead of yourself. So you do not encounter repayment fees etc...

Ok I wish you the best of luck if at any time you get lost I am here to help and guide you. From beginning to end it took me 13 months, but everyone is different. Just make sure you know each other well have strong evidence and you will be all set. 😊

Good morning! Everything is diff per case. My fiance went alone but they had him reschedule so I can attend. 
 
Shots are not mandatory for K1 but I would recommend paying the 120 in DR than here in the US its pricier.. They are needed for the Adjustment of Status without them you will be denied.

Were you implying that St. Thomas isn't a part of the US or am I totally misunderstanding?  The USVI should be a fine location for a wedding.  I went to a relative's on St. John and it was really lovely.

I don't really get why people work themselves into such a frenzy waiting. We filed late October and my fiance will be entering the US on Friday, never once got frustrated with waiting. You should know what you are in for when you get started and whats a few months compared to the rest of your life?

Just a follow-up guys. Immigration took her less than 20 minutes at JFK and she said the people we're super nice. Actually had to move her flight to RDU up to one 3 hours earlier so she wouldn't have to be stuck at JFK so long. Had her first trip to Five Guys and Waffle House and now she is sound asleep. Exhausted from a 30+ hour trip but truly great day.

Alex arrived on Wednesday (they cancelled his last connecting flight on Tuesday). It won't feel real. It still doesn't feel real. It feels wonderful though. I think this morning I woke up and was just overwhelmed with happy.

Fiance is on a plane to JFK right now. Pretty excited. 

No, the petitioner does not need to be present during the interview. There is and never have been any OFFICIAL requirement in ANY Embassy. Now having said that many of us were present at our beneficiary's interview but none of us can say that it improved the issuance of a visa. The CO told me at my wife's interview that they appreciate the petitioner's being there. (That does not mean he must be there, just that they appreciate it). Now some Embassy's let the petitionary in the waiting area and to come up to the window when it's their turn but there are some CO's who recognize the petitioner and then ask them to have a seat in the waiting room and if they need Him/Her they will call them back up to the window. Other CO's allow the petitioner to stand along with the beneficiary at the window during the interview. Again, each Embassy is different.
 
So long story short NO.

He's here. We're so happy. It doesn't feel real yet!
