I didn't find anything in the mail even though Informed Delivery shows the scanned letter from USCIS :(. I saw other people get their letters, which I assume means that the mail person was already here today. I'm so disappointed 😞.

NVM: The guy just showed up. This is not even his route and he's helping someone out. Thanks the lord!!!! I got my NOA1!!!

Hi everyone,

We had our AOS interview today and got approved on the spot!!!! We are so happy.

Documents we brought:
Copies of all the forms submitted
New medical examination
passports and driver's license
current and past EAD
proof of relationship evidence (joint bank account, health insurance, car insurance, joint lease, joint credit cards, a ton of pictures of our relationship)

During our interview, the officer just asked us for our passports, licenses, and EAD. They reviewed the whole original AOS application and asked the following questions:

What do you like about each other?
What do you like to do as a couple?
How did you meet?
What year did you meet each other?
Where did you go on your first date?
When did you get married?
How did you propose?
What is your spouse's birth date?
Are you currently working?
When did you start working?

The officer was nice and everything went smoothly.

Woke up today to an email from USCIS -- logged an and it was a notice the interview letter has been sent!

Now it's panic time pulling together all the evidence since our wedding. We've been collecting it but without any organization. Eeek!

I am so excited. I have a trip planned back to visit my family in Manitoba, Canada the second weekend in July. I am super excited. I haven't been home for almost 2 years and I really miss my Mum and siblings and nieces. My husband has to stay back as he can't get off work but he said someone needs to stay back and take care of my kitty. lol

Interview complete. No indication of the result. The officer told us we should get a response in the mail in 10 days...

Interview lasted about 30 min. Verified our passports and birth certificates. Went through the 15 or so yes/no questions from the application regarding criminal history, etc, etc. Asked each other our parents names, where did/does petitioner work (with specific dates and exact address), how and when we met, where was first date, when did we decide to get married, how did we stay in touch during long distance, describe the proposal, where did we get married and who attended, what did we do after the ceremony...

Asked us for proof of relationship, but he ran out of time to go through it with us so he took the whole stack and said he'd review it later.

All in all, nothing we didn't already know. So hopefully we get a good result. Ready for this entire process to be complete.

Just when I was thinking about beginning EAD renewal paperwork...Received interview notice today!! Notice is dated 1/16/19...exactly 1 year from when they received our AOS.

I'm in tears right now,finally my EAD has been approved after 212 days without rfie, we are adjusting status from K1. My case has also changed from "we received you case" to we are "ready to schedule an interview ".my receipt date is nov 7 pd Oct 31st 2017 and my service center is NBC.l contacted the office of ombudsman to help look into my case on 7th of May 2018 they replied on 15th may that they have inquired why my case has taken too long and they would get back to me,since then l haven't heard from them.So l think it helps to contact ombudsman's office. I had raised close to 6 service requests and 1 requests to expendit ead unfortunately uscis sent me a mail saying that my case is under review and l will here from them shortly,this was back in March. I hope l get my interview appointment date soon.
