    Hello,

Just on the letter from the embassy, is this the noa1 letter, or the noa2?

    Thanks

That's probably 3 and packet 4 would be a letter with your interview appointment.

Noa1 is the notice that you would have gotten from USCIS notifying you that they received your I-129F application and NOA2 is the notice you got that your I-129F application was approved.

    Hope that helps .

    Hello,

Which website can you check for NVC updates?

    Hey Brandon & Sarah,

Here's the link - https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx . Just enter your info .(do this after you have been assigned a case # from NVC)  If it says 'ready' , it means your application has been sent to the beneficiary's consular, and you can go ahead and mail your packet 3 letter and request an appointment date for your interview.

Also, If it says 'received', it means NVC has received it. And if it says 'in transit' it means it's on the way to your consular.

    Hope that's clear.

Does anyone know whether I can request what the requirements for packet 3 for the Barbados consulate (before getting our NOA2) ?

The info on VJ hasnt been updated for Barbados since 2008 and I just want to be sure I have everything!

Ok, Re. Barbados Packet 3 checklist..

I think I've found my own answer here. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html#additional

  4. Re. I-134 - Affidavit of Support Form   (Page 3)

Does anyone know how to answer question Part 3. Question 8a & b  vs Part 3. Q5

If the petitioner/sponsor owns a house with a mortgage... would the value of it be both included as personal property(Q5) and real estate(Q8.a&b).

Like what exactly is included in 'personal property' and what for 'real estate'?

Just want to be sure I'm filling it out correctly.

  5. Hey Junnies! It's been a while.... we haven't received our NOA2 yet... and I'm here getting panic attacks!

Quick question.... Does anyone know if its ok for the petitioner to submit a birth registration notice in place of a certified birth certificate for the i-129F Application? It's the short form BC and i just noticed it states on it "This is NOT A BIRTH CERTIFICATE"  ..... Now it has been bothering me ..... can anyone confirm?

It turned out I was wrong and my fiance only submitted her short form as well. Whether or not you need to take your petitioner's  birth certificate would be specific to your embassy and I was only commenting on the embassy in Montreal. Based on reviews of your consulate, it doesnt appear you need the petitioner's birth certificate: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?trim=no&cty=&cnty=Barbados&page=1&dfilter=5&topic=

    Ok ! Thanks !

My fiance brought her long form and a copy. It looks like you will need the long form, unfortunately :(http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618007-long-formshort-form-birth-certificate-for-packet-34/

    Hello There,

As the benificary, do I need to take the long form for the petitioner to my interview as well?

We only submitted the short form for our original i-129F application.
