But I never recieved an official paper stating that the case was transfered to another office. I heard that if you didn't get an official paper that means the case was just moved from one desk to another persons desk and if you recieved an official paper that one means you'll probably get an interview. I have no recieved a paper stating that.

Is that correct or was I infromed wrong?

    it is not correct.

I never received any notice of case transfer either.

It's just unfortunate that I was right that I had a feeling that I was going to be one of the last ones again!

I don't know why I've been so unlucky when it comes to the US immigration process!

I wish I knew someone who worked at the USCIS Seattle office!

I recently got a transfer message, but it was probably a mistake since my congressperson confirmed me that my I-751 and N-400 applications were in the Seattle office!  :dead:

if you think you are unlucky, look at me.

  3. I filed my application online last June, when almost every online filer got processed in 3-4 months.

I was scheduled for an interview 4 months after my initial filing,... on a Saturday.... I went to my appointment anyway and obviously USCIS was closed.

Contacted the local office and congresswoman's office, was told the clerk must have made a mistake and I should receive my rescheduled interview very soon.

2 months passed by, no rescheduled interview notice, I was then told because of the congresswoman's enquiry, my files were sent to the congressional unit and then the congressional unit sent my file to another filed office .....

5 months later, I finally received my interview notice and attended the interview, I was recommended for approval and was told my oath will be scheduled in 2-3 weeks.

well, 1 month passed by, no oath letter, 2 months passed by, still nothing, So I went for an info pass and was told my files were again transferred to a wrong field office after my interview, they noticed the error and requested my files back to Boston. I was told wait for another 2-3 weeks and contact them again.

Then all of a sudden, I received an ELIS notification that my interview is scheduled. FINALLY! I thought to myself, when I saw my oath ceremony on my document tab, it is scheduled for July 30th. A whopping two months from today....

Oh USCIS, I love you not.

Case Was Received At My Local Office

On April 9, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number EACXXXXX, at your local office. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

When I callled USCIS the guy that I spoke too said your case was transfered on February 26 to the local office but now that I searched with the extension letter it says April 9th(KEEP IN MIND I FILLED IN MAY 2017. IT took them two month to transfer my case? And also now that is transfered what does that mean? Is that for an interview or is that because they have a lot of paper work they are dealing with? I'm so stressed!

You will probably receive an interview.

If I am seeing those numbers same way as you are, it is a lot of denials; but it doesn't specify where these denials happened. I am going to make an assumption a lot of those denials came from 'high fraud' countries. Or perhaps things came up while in AP.  I wouldn't be stressing Trump being the issue with this. Other years may be fairly similar honestly in approval and denials.

it says on the very top : world wide.

    the numbers look very off.

thanks for sharing. Do you remember how many months after your filed 751 you had your interview? So are you still waiting for your N400 interview? When did you file it?

    15 months.

I filed n400 in June, I was scheduled an interview for late Oct on a Sat.

The field office was closed on Sat. I had to call USCIS and it took them 5 months to get me rescheduled. I had my interview in March and still waiting for my oath ceremony. Went for an info pass and was told my file was wrongfully transferred to another field office,/

My case is not representative of Boston Field office, most cases move much faster than mine.

Was naturalized yesterday, 5/23. Finally, l thought I was going to lose my citizenship eligibility due to the passing of my husband after the 400 interview. It turned out they were aware of my husband's passing and they did approve my 400 a month ago, and the oath ceremony was obviously not a mistake. Please update, good luck. I wish my late husband were here celebrating with me, but I know he is smiling from above or in spirit. Good luck guys. August 2017 400 filer here.

I remember you said you were afraid your husband won't make it to your oath ceremony and watch you becoming a citizen. So sorry for your loss.  節哀。

Yes, She does want me to meet them :D, the way I put it made look bad... Her child is being raised by her mom since 6 months old, she only works and support the them. fro the last 5 years.

How long you know her?  Almost 2 years.

What about child's father? Nowhere to be found!

    Is she divorced? Never married.

Is there any age gap between you? 16 years

it has nothing to do with the way you put it, stop blaming yourself.

    It simply doesn't make sense.

you didn't get the visa. They do not issue visa within the US.

You changed your status from J1 to visitor. You do not get a physical visa sticker.

And if you have traveled abroad and wish to return, you need to get another visa.

    You got this wrong.

There is a federal law that makes having health insurance mandatory - the ACA (aka Obamacare).

The US Supreme Court ruled in favor of Obamacare.  Chief Justice Roberts wrote the opinion.

Trump has already done away with the penalty for not having healthcare insurance.

Obamacare is still good law.  Now, there is just no penalty for not having insurance.

Obama care is still a good law?  this makes zero sense.

How nazistic it is to force your citizens to buy PRIVATE health insurance?

Very frequently! Here's a copy/paste from my I-94. Over the last year I've entered six times, not counting last week. What made them suspicious (understandably) was probably the fact that in March I entered twice - once for a job interview in Washington D.C., and then again five days later to attend an academic conference in New Orleans. The reason for this was that my trip to D.C. was booked last-minute by the organisation, while I'd booked the New Orleans flights myself months earlier and couldn't have changed them without incurring a substantial fee.

What is not clear to me is - since I entered the US on the VWP that allows only 90 days of stay, and we filed only I-130, is a case like this considered an overstay?

Yes, because you didn't file I485 concurrently.

I485 is requesting an adjustment of your status.
