Hoosier81 got a reaction from yuni_yuni in k1 visa interview questions
After you done with the Medical, the hospital will call you and let you know when they are ready to send the medical result to the embassy (means everything is alright with the medical)
If there is a problem then they also will let you know.
Then you email the embassy (just reply their email to you, because it has your case number and name already, so it's easier), let them know that you have all the documents and you are
ready for the interview. They replied my email on the same day and I got the interview date. Jakarta embassy is pretty fast answer the emails. Good Luck!

I’m expecting a very long wait for my greencard being in Chicago. However I sent off for my EAD to be expedited and my fingers are crossed as I have a job offer!

Figured I'd check back in around here... haven't been stopping by this thread quite as frequently, as we've been trolling all the AOS forums for a while now.

So, so happy to update that Paul got his green card yesterday!!! His interview was last week, and it arrived in the mail yesterday afternoon. It's been a long road and journey, and it's still unbelievable that we've made it. I've never been more proud of him.

The AOS process was relatively forgiving for us, with the exception of some pain points with completing his medical requirements stateside. We nearly killed ourselves trying to get that taken care of, and after lots of extra money, miles driven, and time lost, they actually didn't initially ask for the 693 at the AOS interview - we had to offer it. She said they hadn't even flagged his case. :| But at any rate - it's done and updated, so it will never come up again down the road. And now he's DONE!

We also ran into some extra nerves with Hurricane Florence. She came through just a couple of days before his interview was scheduled, and we were initially right in her projected path. She turned out not being as bad as they had forecasted, which we are so grateful for. Not to mention, the office we were sent to in SC for his interview wound up being the ONLY office left open in all of SC that week following the hurricane. We've done a lot of thanking the Lord for that, too.

Nice to hear about everyone's progress - some much more overdue than ours! Congrats y'all!!!

Wow...it's been a long time since I checked in with my fellow June 2017 filers

A lot has happened since then. Maricel and I arrived in the US on April 18th, and got married on June 16th. I filed her AOS last month and received a RFE for the affidavit of support last week. I sent back the info that they wanted and am in the waiting process again. We went to her biometrics appointment yesterday (August 24th) in St. Louis.

Just checking in...nothing new on this end just waiting for a response from
USCIS regarding our lawsuit. They have 60
days to respond so we should hear something by the end of September. Suspect after such a long delay with our case that they may just deny...at least we should have an answer soon so we can move on to plan B.

Congrats to those who are married or have upcoming nuptials!

Not that I know of - most June filers are just getting around to having their biometrics appointments scheduled/completed. AP/EAD is taking up to 6 months right now, so most June filers probably won't get that until December, maybe November. There may be some stragglers with one off cases, but collectively that's what it's looking like.

    Yes
PS, you posted something else about your I-94 and I saw someone already gave you the link. I recommend printing off multiple copies of that, and of your passport/visa page showing your POE stamp. You will need your I-94 for multiple things and it just helps to go ahead and have multiple copies on hand. The I-94 is your Arrival/Departure record confirming your valid entry into the US under your K1, so it's an important thing to have.

My husband hasn't yet, but should be getting close - his AOS NOA1 was March 19th, so we're nearing the 5-month mark.  Since we expect to be waiting 1-2 years for a GC interview at our local office, EAD/AP can't come soon enough...

    Hi, Junies!

We had our wedding on Saturday. It is SUCH a relief and I am so happy that we have gotten over that hill.
Tonight, we fine tune the next steps.

    More paperwork? You betcha!
Hope everyone is okay. See you on the other forums!

Interview set: 30 JUL 2018 in Chinese embassy.

DS-160s filed but not electronically which really disturbed me but my fiancee' and her friend insisted this is the way. Her friend has helped a dozen people in this and she is contact with someone has been doing this forever.

Problem indicated this am .. perhaps someone can help as naturally I find this out on Saturday am ...  We only got one GUZ case number from National Visa Center. Fiancee' has been applied for with minor child accompanying. Everything has been filed this way from the beginning. But do they issue two embassy case #s? We've gone all the way thru USCIS, NVC and embassy administrative processing .. no problems .. now all of a sudden a bank won't take payment for two on one embassy case number GUZ2018xxxxxx.

    Any clues?

I'll definitely call NVC on Monday.

Thank God the State Department is 10000X better than the USCIS .. they are jacked up beyond repair.

Hi Junie's! I'm checking in because I wanted to thank you all for the information and support.

Alex had his interview yesterday and we're approved pending medical (He had his medical on the 20th!).  We're anxiously waiting for his visa to book his ticket to me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Thinking and hoping for you KBA. UCSIC really is the most ridiculous place ever.

John and Rose you look amazing and so happy! I'm thrilled for you.

Everyone else -- the pictures and happiness are incredible. I'm just so full of love and joy right now for me and Alex AND you all.

Just sharing our late upload wedding photos with my pretty and handsome step children. We had a very simple church wedding on May 28, 2018. I am so happy that the pastor granted my request to have our wedding on the Veteran Memorial Day . We had also the Filipino Traditional Ceremonies such as the veil, cord, coin, communion and unity candle. I made all the scripts in our wedding LOL. I am so happy that the church took a live streaming in facebook so that my family and friends in the Philippines could watch.

John I know how you feel about having to find a Barong to actually fit you  was a hard thing to find. It took us quite a while to find one that would actually fit my shoulders because I tend to more of the broad shoulders type. I have worn it exactly twice and it has since stayed put up for 5+ years now. I wore it once for a friend of mine from Afghanistan(Filipino) who got married and I was a Ninong then, and I wore it once for my civil wedding with my wife.

Pinoys can be corny like that but you know what it is one of the things that I love about my wife.
