I filed July 2020 and just found out yesterday that my 10 year green card was approved. Took around 22 months, no interview required.

Salty2305 got a reaction from G-T-10 in AOS Submission Requirements - DS-3025 NOT marked complete - missing immunizations?
Hey so glad we could help!

Our advice would be to go to the interview prepared to answer every single question again on every form you’ve submitted. We went with more proof of our relationship, proof of marriage, photos, copies of all submitted forms etc. as well as the completed I-693.

I went to our local doctors office, had all vaccinations I was missing done (all of which were covered by our insurance). Then I took proof of this along with the original medical records I had showing my vaccinations from the k1 visa process to a civil surgeon. He charged me $50 to complete the I-693 form and didn’t even have to see me for an appointment. I was asked specifically for this form at my interview.

    Good luck! :)

We have traveled our Visajourney to the end, success !

We followed the steps provided here on the Visajourney website, mixed with prayers, and support from our friends, my wife became a US Citizen on 8/12/2018!!!
It takes a lot of patience, but if you do your homework, file the correct documents, and supply the required information, you will win.

My wife took her Citizen exam on the Sept 12, 2018, she told the examiner she was able to answer all 100 questions, she killed it. My wife said she was a little disappointed because she was so ready they only asked her the simple questions. After her test, they invited her to take the oath, about 2 hours later on the same day. We had and huge hurricane coming in, and since we were already there in the office she agreed to take the oath. We were expecting to get a oath ceremony in about 2 weeks, we wanted to invite some of our friends to attend, but due to impending weather she went ahead and took the oath. We have a new American!!

My wife is from Romania, she told me, when she was a child and saw airliner fly over her house in Romania she would wonder if it was going to America, Our started our journey  2013,
and now she is here! Our next step is for her to pass her nursing license.

Many of you know about this, but what a feeling it is to be able to be part of someone's life long dream, and watch them become an American...the right way, and forever

    Thank you Visajourney!!
I have recommended at least 3 other people to join and win!

Best wishes to you all, God bless!

I got my card exactly a week after my interview but it can vary. I also had a trip booked about 2 weeks from the interview.

If you get approved before the trip then you can get your passport stamped through an infopass appointment. That stamp will allow you to prove your PR status.

What I did was pre-schedule an infopass a week from the interview in case the card wasn't gonna come in time.

    Hi everyone,

my son and I had our interview yesterday in Charlotte. The officer was super nice, she didn’t even ask to look at any of the evidence we had put together. Basically just confirmed all the information from our I-485 forms. She did not outright say we were approved but she said everything looked good and we should hear back soon! Good luck to everyone still waiting

Salty2305 reacted to JimInUS in AOS Interview Approved on the Spot
Had our interview today, and it was approved on the spot (AOS from K-1 marriage-based visa). A few hours after the interview was complete the USCIS Case Status website showed "we ordered your new card". Honestly I was amazed at how the interviewer kept everything straight, with all the documents and so on. The interview took maybe 1/2 hour, mostly going thru the items on the application, asking them one-by-one, and my wife answering. I assume she was just checking that her story is consistent. A couple of times I got nervous that the interviewer was questioning some things and we might hit a snag, but at the end she said we're approved.

I thought they might separate us and ask stuff individually, but that never happened. However, it seemed like the couple before us had that happen, since the female came out to the waiting room for a bit while her husband was still inside.

Some things I showed as proof were my wife as beneficiary on my retirement account as well as my medical/dental/vision insurance. Otherwise she asked the standard "how did you meet" type questions while she was going thru a stack of documents.

Also, our I-765 process was never updated on the website after our biometrics, so I assume that will just be scrapped since the green card should be coming in a few weeks?

Anyway, we're extremely happy, since they received our application around June 1, and on Sept. 10 it's approved.

Between the K-1 and this process it's harrowing, and seemed to take forever, but thank God it's finished.
